I was at Target and trying on clothes. I didn't like anything BUT I did get a glimpse of my booty in the mirror and I wasn't mad27

Been faithfully logging in for a year now! (well, I don't log All my food Every day, but I am here every day!)23

My NSV is that I am back logging and have set a goal for spring. I have increased my activity over this holiday time and now time to once again be serious about this program as it works.10

Having to find a store that sold size 2 clothing. The 4's were hanging off of me.

i think (hope) i just lived through the flu. so today i'm just happy that i woke up at 7 am and haven't yet felt like i'll die if i don't go and lie down.
for my next trick, i plan to try eating again. i'm just waiting for my mouth to stop tasting like that weird hot-cedar smell you get inside a dry sauna.14 -
I went to Sydney for 2 weeks over Christmas (visiting in-laws) took the capris/shorts I wore last summer and they were almost comically too big.14

Ran my second 5k today! There were intense hills and it was cold but I still beat my time from November. Also I felt way more relaxed and had fun! Thank you to everyone on here for being so supportive and inspiring hope you all have a great 2017.
I love your outfit.3 -
I did a treadmill 5k+ at the gym today. No incline, but varied between 3.8 and 4.2 mph, and was about one hour straight of running. Maybe this spring when it's not so suck-*kitten* cold I will attempt a real 5k.22

My wedding band and engagement ring are a little loose now and make a happy jingling noise when I move my hands. It reminds me that progress is happening.
Also, when my husband was in the shower, I swiped all of the leftover Christmas goodies and put them away out of sight. One cookie is okay. One cookie every time I walk by is not.23 -
Fit into some more clothes today--goal clothes. I fit everything else in this size about 8 lbs ago, but these pants & this shirt are more fitted.18

After a long hiatus I finally started logging back in and it's GREAT! I have started drinking a gallon of water a day and slowly working on strength and work outs. I had some injuries that left me unable to work out for months and then I just got lazy. I have stopped using coffee creamer and cut way down on my food intake. Yay for baby steps!!17

Congrats! But just so you know, if you can do 5k on the treadmill, then a "real" 5 km run will be a piece of cake. Why? Because running on a treadmill is mind numbing! But running outside touches all your senses and inspires you to keep going. I can do a 5 km run outside but after 20 minutes I am totally done on a treadmill. I know... it's all in my head lol15 -

I love your outfit.
Thank you! I purple. I got the top and leggings from my mother-in-law for christmas and they were actually perfect for this race.4 -
Saturday, I took my kids to the school so they could play and I could walk around the track. It was a brisk cool, and thought I would make it once or twice around the track. My son challenged me to a race. He said 3 laps mom. So we jogged/walked 3 laps. I was able to run about 1/3-1/2 of each lap and I was never too far behind him. Then I did another 2 laps. Almost 2 miles in 30 minutes, kept up with my son and did some jogging! That was a great NSV for me.39

I hope so! Hills scare me and I dislike being cold, which are two of the things keeping me from it until Spring. We'll see. I am fortunate to live in an active city where there's always a 5k going on for something or other.

One of my 2017 goals is to do a push up. Seriously, I have NEVER been able to do push ups either full or knee. I was telling my niece this goal and she asked me how to do a knee push up. I got on the floor to demonstrate and was saying I wouldn't be able to get back up once I went chin down to floor and I immediately came back up!! This was really a gratifying moment. I proceeded to do a second one and then I was done but no worries. I'm excited to get working on the 'boy' push ups.33

Not sure if this counts but today I threw away a chocolate bar that I opened and didn't particularly enjoy. Normally I would have finished it off even whilst thinking 'eurgh'.
I was always taught not to waste food so I find it a challenge to stop eating when I'm either full or not enjoying something. Even worse the chocolate was a gift so feel a little guilty about chucking it but consoling myself that the gifter will never know!28 -

I used to be the same way! Now I don't waste the "delicious points" (calories).10 -
It took me 3 weeks to finally be able to run for 22 minutes (Week 6, Day 3 of C25K). I had such a mental block and couldn't get past 11 minutes until today. I seriously felt like crying when I was done, it was a huge victory for me.33

My NSVs have to do with getting the people I love to move with me. On NYE my sister in law asked me to walk with her and walked farther than she ever had! We did a full 2 miles. On the 1st, not only did I go for a bike ride for the first time in months, but I got my stepdaughter to try out her bike for the first time (she's had it for over a year). We worked on road etiquette, hand signals, and safety and she decided she wants to ride with me every week. Yesterday she willingly walked with me at the park, no complaints. That's a huge victory with a teenager.26
