My gym is in my basement and there are 2 god awful ugly green chairs left over from the previous owner that i never threw out. The first time i tried sitting in the chair i could not fit because its one of those chairs with handles. I sat in it this morning and it was not too uncomfortable.11

My NSV is just that I'm back on track after regaining some weight in December, and that although I ate more and moved less, I never really stopped thinking about my fitness goals, just back burnered them.17

I put on boots from last year that fit fine and this year they were loose around my calves. Nice to see that since I feel like my legs don't make any progress!17

Jeans! This prob sounds huge to some of you, but picked up a cute pair of AE jeans in a size 12 at a consignment shop. I started at 230 (and would never wear jeans) so I'm loving having a cute pair that look good! Bonus they were only like $12. I'll be replacing them with a smaller size soon I hope!!22

Two for me: I fit into size 14 pants! I started July 25th wearing size 22W. At that time I picked up a size 14 off a rack in the store and thought they were impossibly tiny, and that it would be a miracle if I ever got that small. 5 months later I'm wearing them and I still have around 40 lbs to lose to get to a healthy BMI. Now I'm thinking that at 145-ish I might be a size 10? size 8? We shall see!
Second NSV: My husband bought me several necklaces for Christmas. I looked at each one in the box and told him I needed to get another package of necklace extenders so I could wear them. He said that he thought I could get by without the extenders so I tried one on. WOAH! It fit! Now I've taken all the extenders off all my necklaces. I was so happy I almost cried.35 -
I opened a bedroom door just a crack, so as not to wake the sleeping child, and I was actually able to fit through that crack.30

jogged for 7.5 minutes without stopping. 6 months ago, I could barely run 10 seconds and avoided jogging/running all together. I accomplished this after convincing myself I really should go for my walk at lunch even though I didn't want to.28

I started running about two months ago...,due to some very sage advise from one of the MFP posters, I've been taking it easy even though I'm pretty fit from taking cardio and body weight training classes every day, just about, for the past year and a half... anyway ran my longest run to date of 5.77 miles in under 10 mins per mile... not bad of a run at all with plenty of energy to spare at the end..I try to run 10 miles (sometimes a little less/more) every week.... def training for a half marathon by the end of this year. :-)16

That's awesome! Well done and enjoy your half marathon training!1 -

So great to hear, and congratulations!1 -
Ran three miles off road yesterday in the florida keys. I used to barely make it on a bike. While I did it there was a low altitude flyover of three fighter jets. I was all alone and it felt like my own superbowl flyover.23

I stopped working out and eating well for the last four months. I completely forgot all the good things exercise and healthy eating habits bring into my life. I have discovered them once again.
My NSV are energy, mental clarity and make you feel good endorphins
Because of these things, I motivated to continue.26 -

Me three. Everything I've experienced in the last year on mfp has taught me to get right back to it after a vacation/holiday. And to not beat yourself up about the break.17 -
In late February 2004 I drove ~80 miles round trip to pick up a gorgeous winter coat - the last one in its size left in New Jersey. It's black, buttery soft, ankle length, very slim cut, trimmed with black "fur" at wrists and around the glamorous hood. It looks like a coat straight out of Dr. Zhivago. It was a bit tight when I tried it on, but after having driven all that way, I bought it anyhow. A few days later I moved to Maryland, and what with packing/unpacking and changing jobs, I never had a chance to wear the coat before Spring came. By the following winter I was decidedly too large to button it up.
Today I wore this gorgeous, toasty warm coat for the very first time, with room to spare around the hips, and I still love it... although I'm thinking it may be a bit too "young" in style for me now!! LOL!!38 -
This is sort of scale related but yet isn't totally. I gained 4 pounds over the holiday break and have been hard on myself about it trying to lose it again. I went to the gym today on lunch break and after getting ready to go back to work decided I was going to step on the scale in the locker room. This was after working out, with soaking wet hair, work boots, fully clothed and I was still 23 pounds less than my starting weight. This really made me take a step back and realize how far I've come.30
