Can I join a little late? I have reached an all time high weightwise and ordinarily find it easy to lose weight but have struggled for the past year to change anything. I have lost 5 stone in the past so I can do it again! My weigh in day has always been a Friday in the past so will stick to that. Before measurements and pictures will be done this weekend eek. Good luck!

This week's successes: exercised everyday, tracked everything
This week's challenges: gained back 2lb from last weeks loss. Need to work at staying closer to 1200 calories a day and not use the calories from activity.
Dont stop to use the calories from activity, just use a menor value. For me for example, if i play futeboll and spend 1.000 calories, i just use 25¨% so 250 calories. Look, if you remove all calories from exercie, you probably will stop to do exercises, so use tha calories, but not all calories, just a parto of them.5 -

Hello my name is Stormy and I'm a foodaholic. What a great idea to chip away at a 52 lb goal one week at a time.
My ideal weight of 148#s (5'6" male) seems so far away I can't see it. However, one pound a week seems reasonable.
I just started eating Paleo on the New Year. I attribute that to my early success. However, I've performed this magic New Year's trick numerous times over the last 67 years.
Hopefully, this group and other support MFP will help me keep focus for longer than a month or two.
I'm looking forward to hearing your success stories throughout the year.

My weight has kept going up and up in last 3 years that I was surprised this morning when my weighing scale congratulated me on my new low weight -- didn't even know that my scale can do that. Lost 3.9 lbs this week thru regular 30-min cardio, eating healthy and keeping it under 1100 calories (I'm 5'2"). I will start a new regimen this week called 8-week sugar diet to reset my body and reverse type 2 diabetes (not diabetic yet but feels like I'm starting to).
This is how much I lost so far in "ham" units since the start of the challenge. I kept the ham around my fridge to remind me how much weight I've taken off my body (assuming ham and fat has same density).
