Long run today cut a bit shorter than intended. My running buddy cancelled on me due to a stomach bug but I was already getting ready so I took Stella out with me. I thought I might do a loop with her and then bring her back and continue on my own. She was doing pretty well though so we just kept at it and ended up doing a little over an hour, which is her longest run yet. She's wiped out now and so am I! After yesterday's trail run my legs didn't have more in them any way.

@katharmonic nice run with Stella! I have no doubt that you're legs are trashed after yesterday's run. Getting that run in today was awesome. Great job!

8 inches of snow on his doorstep, but it doesn't even reach his ankles in the photo. I love my treadmill, but I'm not a track star - so what do I know?

If I had easy access to a track I might do thr same thing. PT thinks the treadmill was the cause of my calf/achilles issues

Thanks @MNLittleFinn , it's been a crazy week (potty training the middle kid :/ ). Really hoping that by marathon time my times are a lot better because I've stayed consistent. Rest Day today though haha!

You'll do great. I'm just hoping to finish when my marathon comes around.

    Hi all!

Went for a 15k today but burst wind was so strong and I was so unprepared (clothing failure) so I only did the warm-up, 1.6k and left home. I made 12.2k elliptical and 20 min dumbbell HIIT exercise but those don't count here right? Right!

    Aim: 100k

    8/1: 5.7K
    12/1: 2.6k
    14/1: 10.4k
    15/1: 1.6k

    20.3/100k

    Stay free of injuries!

Argh! The urge to to run is strong. It's 30°f and sunny. If I was on plan, today would be a 3 mile day. But plan technically starts tomorrow, and I told myself I'd take it easy today. This stinks.

You absolutely will finish it- you are training smart! I really want a good time at Banff because the race honestly means more to me than the 90lb loss- it is 100% something I never would have even thought about doing a year ago...or ever. Banff is about change <3 . My super secret hope is that I just might be able to train myself down to a Boston qualifying time. Very unlikely obviously but goals never killed anyone...hopefully ;)

I feel you on the desire to run today btw. If I hadn't promised my husband I wouldn't I'd do a 10k easy today since my legs aren't feeling yesterday at all. Maybe a 9 or 10PM run when he's gone to bed if I'm still feeling it. He's gone all week anyway so I'm relegated to late night runs for a while

The fact that it's even in the realm of possibility for you makes you a fantastic runner. Being in that position on top of a 90# loss is simply amazing. Secretly, I do have a time goal for my marathon (about an hour slower than your BQ goal), but I'm so far out that I don't want to jinx anything by believing I could do it. Keep up the training and you'll make your goal. The hard work will totally pay off!

If it weren't for the fact that I'm 90% of the time a morning runner, I'd head out for a run after wife and little man are asleep tonight, but 0430 comes far too soon, and I have 5 miles to get in to start "real" training!
