  • No riding for me today. I'm doing a long hilly ride tomorrow though. And it's going to be 92 and humid. But it's not the Pyrenees so I really shouldn't complain. LOL

    Who rode today, 7/16?

No riding today for me. Insanity... officiating bike races all day long, then dinner, then stopping by a Tour de France party (we are in the town we used to live, but just for the weekend). I was tempted to bike around the hotel parking lot for 30 minutes before going to bed, but it's too late and I'm too tired and I have to be up by 5:30 for another day of officiating.

I apologize if I'm slow updating the next few days. We'll be traveling and I'm officiating three sets of races on the weekend and Mr. Wonderful is racing. 1200 miles driving on Friday and Monday!

    Be careful out there!

    Who rode today, 7/17?

I got to ride today! We had no racers for one race, so I suited up and rode the crit course for thirty minutes while we had dead time. :o)

7/17- In for 20 miles in 82 minutes.

Starting to wind down on the training as the big ride is in a week so I won't ride more than 20 miles in a day. I went over 1900 miles for the year during today's ride.

Hope everyone had a great day spinning your wheels!

I just found this thread. I know there's only a week left, so if I'm waaaaaay too late, I understand. I LOVE the Tour and have been following it for a while. If there's room for one more, I did a short 17 miler 7/17 with a few killer hills. Not Alp d'Huez killer. Just northeast Pa. killer.
Anyway, glad to see more cycling enthusiasts. If anyone is interested, here's another cycling thread....

    Who rode today, 7/18?

We are driving 600 miles home today (we are stopped at a Chick-fil-a with wifi for lunch!) so I do hope to ride tonight at least half an hour after arriving home.

    And, welcome skywalker!

Where's Tete? I know she's been riding because I saw a post about it.

    Be careful out there!

Checking in. I won't be riding today. I'm training for a triathlon and today is a swim day.
  • 7/17 rode about 2.5 hours. Lots of climbing. Extreme heat and humidity. Fun times!
  • Forgot...no riding today! I jumped in the lake after riding yesterday and cut up my feet on some shells. Snails or something. I hope they didn't have parasites. Gross.

I did a 32 minute ride around the neighborhood after our 600 mile drive home. Nothing to scream about but I did it.

I hope your feet are alright, TeteDeLaCourse!

Check-in time! 7/16 was a rest day for me, as I spent the day at a friend's bachelorette party (woot!). Got in 30 minutes for 7/17 and 7/18.

PS: I think my calves might be getting slimmer and more toned. Not sure ... I should measure.

Sorry, just found this challenge today. I don't know if it is to late to enter. Here are my rides, by day, for the month:

    7/1 - 33 miles
    7/2 - 25 miles
    7/3 - 20 miles
    7/4 - 16 miles
    7/5 - 21 miles
    7/6 - 16 miles
    7/7 - 20 miles
    7/8 - 13 miles
    7/9 - 40 miles
    7/10 - Off Day
    7/11 - 25 miles
    7/12 - Off Day
    7/13 - 27 miles
    7/14 - 21 miles
    7/15 - 16 miles
    7/16 - 22 miles
    7/17 - 29 miles
    7/18 - 27 miles
    7/19 - 16 miles so far.

Total Month to Date: 386 miles. My original goal for the month was 450 miles, but I've modified it to 600. Doesn't sound like much to more experienced riders, but I still have 166 pounds to lose...

    Thank you for the challenge.
  • TDS, that's some nice riding!! Good luck!!

7/19-took it nice and easy today with a 12 mile ride around town in about 60 minutes. Hot and humid here as well....I am just hoping that it cools by the weekend or my 454 miles next week is going to be long and miserable.
