I am completing week 3 of C25K without hesitation and while still being able to increase my speed along the way Can't wait to run a 5K straight through!
I'm with @ladyreva78, you are amazing and a huge inspiration @Madwife2009!17 -
Had a personal record this morning lifting.... I have had a mental block about increasing weight on my back squat but this morning I lifted 153# second one is my goal to run up a monster hill... I'm training one block at a time and Saturday night I ran up two of the 6 block incline. My soul is nearly flying out of me I'm so happy!!!22

There's more of us 'ordinary people' out there than you might think and some of us could sometimes use another 'ordinary person' as a role model
Absolutely! I can't imagine wanting to do something like that so badly that I'd be willing to go out in the rain and cold to do it. I hate being cold! Maybe one day I might experience that sort of mindset for myself, but in the meantime you're an inspiration @Madwife2009 !10 -

Where the heck do you live that you have a 6 block incline?! The highest elevation where I am is roughly 20 feet above see level. I can't even imagine hills like that!

Scooted my seat forward in my car today... and not because I needed to make room for someone in the back seat! That baby isn't ever scooting back again!22

@ladyreva78 @gullagr @SueSueDio
Thank you for your very kind words; I've gone warm all over . . .
Went cycling again today, 22.5 miles in the rain (wasn't raining when I started out) and wind. It wasn't cold though, so that was a blessing. The roads were very wet and I got soaked by a passing lorry (who I am certain did it deliberately). But it's all washable (including me)
Total cycling mileage for January: 396.5
Total walking mileage for January: 69.5
Total gym visits for January: 31 (classes, cardio & strength)
Not bad for someone who struggled to walk upstairs just 18 months ago . . . actually, I think that my current "fast walk" (5mph) heart rate is slower than my resting heart rate was back then.19 -
Went on the lunchtime snowshoe hike at work today, on the trails around my office building, and I walked up the big hill at the end (option 1). Yay! Versus option 2 - taking the little hill, or even worse, option 3 - heading back to the parking lot with several others.13

Wore out my walking shoes, so today I'm getting new ones. I very much doubt these will last nearly as long.22

Just now, I looked and saw a person that looks like a normal weight, and realized that, though I don't like the ravages massive weight gain and loss has done to my body, I am not ashamed any longer.
Ashamed is where I am at right now. Starting over again...... have lost 5 lbs in the last 15 days and hoping for 5 more in the next 15. Can't wait till I no longer feel ashamed. Congrats!!10 -
Finally got in the first outdoors bike ride of the year yesterday. Was nearly 50 degrees in Des Moines so pumped up the tires and did 17 miles on the Great Western Trail. and did my usual chisel class today.14

I wore the pants I wore to my bridal shower in 2000. They will be too big next time I pull them out, I think!23

I saw my shadow on the road as I biked last weekend. I liked what I saw even standing up while I pedaled. I would always look away if I passed a store front with big reflecting windows. Now I love those damn windows ---your friendly dietitian16

I pulled some of my old sweaters out from a few winters ago and tried them on and realized I can fit into all of them again (all my other sweaters are starting to look a little too big)!!16

I've been holding on to a black Nike dry fit tank top for a few years even though it no longer fit. Today, I was able to get it on without battling it out with the shirt. I love this shirt so I'm glad it fits again. The scale hasn't moved in two weeks. I'm glad to see progress off the scale!21

Congratulations! This made me smile: a couple months ago I had to buy new underwear too. It never occurred to me as something I'd have to deal with, but it's weird to have them falling down in your pants.13 -

Every couple of months I vowed to take progress pictures of myself. Well, yesterday was my day to do it. Although, I still have over 50-60 lbs to lose, I could see my progress. I could see the thinner body coming through by the definition that was developing from all the hard work . I really like what I see! Can't stop admiring.45

my reliable you-are-fat pants weren't talking nearly so loud to me today.27
