I read that time is relative. If so, it's a close relative of mine. I'm at the upper end of this range, but my head is still stuck back where I was before I gained my big chunk of weight (when my son with autism was diagnosed...17 years ago; that's when I stopped thinking of me and only about him). So, since my head thinks I'm in my early 40s, I kinda fit in here. Now that my son is off to college, I am trying to reclaim my life and restart the clock, I guess. Would love to find some friends along this journey!
*So far down 113 lbs since May .... about 50 to go to reach my high school weight (why not shoot for the stars?)*4 -

Greetings from a mid-40s gal! New to MFP. Have a Garmin Vivofit3, goal of 15 pounds to lose, mostly a walker, love wine & cheese (to a fault!), a mom to 4 teens, & work full time. Looking for "pals" to help with mutual motivation. Can't drop the weight quickly at this age like I did in my 20s & 30s... So frustrating. Best wishes to you all for health success!!2

Hi all. I started my fitness journey back in may 2016 and have never felt better. With the right diet, strength training, and cardio at 39 this has been my best year yet. I meal plan and exercise daily. I haven't logged everyday but I am trying harder to log daily. I want to help others through motivation and discipline. I was overweight 340lbs, now I hover around 235. I have lowered my BMI and have gain muscle through my training. I am addicted to fitness now and will help others as well.6
