Im learning to "plan" just a little better so I have an idea of how many calories I'll divide up between meals. Also, shooting for all the nutrients in the main meals(fruits usually end up in my snacks). I've found eating "some" of the calories I burn exercising, works for me. Also, I am learning how to listen to my own body as far as how many calories(how much food it needs). I have a bmr of 1143 or so and I know I need to eat atleast 1200 to be safe. When I burn 300 walking I drop that 1200 down to 900 so I need to make it back up to 1200 and eat more calories, make sense? The bottom line is to learn how much "your" body needs to lose weight(fat) but most important with that, is how much you need to "fuel" your bod so it doesn't start eating up your lean muscle mass or other organs. Lots of people think that if we don't eat, we just lose fat, not so. In fact, I believe we actually burn up everything but the fat, first:noway: Take a walk around the block, you can "earn" some calories to eat for dinner. That's happened to me before I started planning a little better. Contrary to much of what we've heard in commercials/tv, we actually need to eat to lose fat. Because of what I've learned here on MFP, Im rarely hungry(like starved). I haven't lost a lot fast but I have been steady, gained muscle, burned fat. Now I am learning some new things where I can lose a little more than 1/2 a lb a week but it's been trial and error for me:)

  • Good afternoon team. About to head to the gym but thought I would pop in to say good job on the chart, n2dfire! Looks good. My only suggestion would be to sort by everyone's name so it is in alpha order--if it's too much trouble though, then no biggie. I'm just a spreadsheet nerd. :blushing:

And good job on the shred, guys. I heard it is an intense workout. I'm going to have to get it to mix things up some.

I haven't even thought about super bowl yet, uggh!

    Have a great evening!

Hello everyone!!!! I love the grid and the creatures!! I was gonna skip the gym today, bf came out dressed and ready to go,..............whoo hoo, I went and feel better! Had dinner already and all is well, except I have a terrible case of heartburn (think I went overboard on the onions, have been doing that lately since they are almost like a free food:laugh:    ),

I just drank an alka seltzer, as it was going down I thought, "should I log this, there's probably a ton of sodium in here" :noway: :noway: That just goes to show I'm logging everything

I hope you all are doing well, it sounds like it. Supposed to get some cooler weather in S Fla tonight, so I'll send sunshine to all you in the bitter cold!:flowerforyou:

Hey, just wanted to check in wih yall. I have been running around today doing errands, rocky start this morning, got up, got a call and didn't get my food unil 11am....still have to drink the rest of my water for the day, and didnt get an afternoon snack....turned into a Grouchopotomas, so honey stopped at Subway....for which I looked into earlier today.....was a VERY good girl and only used up 390 calories! had water instead of soda or juice. They didn't have any apples left, so I picked a bag of light lays (75 cals 0 fat)! Once again I was proud of myself, I was asking about the wheat bread (whole wheat or just wheat) stayed away from the honey wheat......asked for a small amount of mustard no mayo....no salt, just pepper, swiss cheese not cheddar, lotsa produce. Anyway....I was once again happy with my choice for the eat out....happy that I asked what was in what I was about to put in my body, and enjoyed every bit of it......

Seems wierd the more I eat (6 meals a day) the more often I wanna eat.....but not in a bad way, I just notice, my body lets me know about 1.5 hours after a meal.....ok I need something please.

Anyway all, I had an early morning I am gonna have a nap for an hour

    Check in later.

BTW I AM PROUD OF YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    GO GREEN!

Hey All!! Hope your week is ending well!!

Sassie- good job on the day!! I love those small accomplishments

I am still having trouble: i do so well throughout the day, get back to my room at night and end up eating over my cals...but i decided starting right now~ that is the end of it and i WILL do better. i work wayyy too hard exercising and eating right throughout the day to blow it in a matter of an hour or so. So starting right now and tomorrow- i will do better and i will reach my goal!!! If anyone has any tips on how to stay away from food, i would love them!! thanks ;) but i am excited to have the power to start new and this is it! i have to do this!! i have been feeling HORRIBLE about myself these last few days when i do this, because i just feel like i did before i even started this lifestyle change. so once again, time for another change- NO MORE BINGING AT NIGHT!!!!!!!!!! thanks for reading~!

Hey darlin, don't be so hard on yourself!!! We're all having similar struggles and you certainly wouldn't allow one of us to say the same about ourselves!!! If you know you're gonna want to snack at night, either workout extra and/or save your snack from earlier in the day. I find that if I'm typing on here, it's hard to have my baked cheetos because I'll get cheese and gunk all over my keyboard:laugh: thus why I'm always posting! Did you see that I walked past PIZZA at my gym this afternoon (open house, see success stories!), yes not a typo, AT MY GYM by the weight machines (although bf says it was the whole wheat crust ones.....) but I'm having a Bud Light to celebrate and for my snack!! :drinker:
