On Gray hair - my hair is so fine, I can't put a lot of anything on it, or it just goes to straw. So, I have a Cruella DeVille streak and a lot of salt in my dark blonde hair. (Mouse brown? whatever - it's got lots of gray.)
Onderland is so close, I can taste it.
Economic recovery - got a love hate relationship with it. I work in the Modifications department.... all this recovery means staff reduction for us!
Have to run, Ladies!
Hugs for Everybody!

✔1. Log/COMPLETE the entry daily.
✔2. No eating after 9pm.
✔3. Fiber 30g daily
✔4. Walk 30 active Fitbit min daily.
5. Declutter ✔️clothes, books, papers, office supplies.

I didn't get into bed by midnight... instead - I had a long soak in my warm bath of Epsom Salt with lavender.
Books and Papers are mostly decluttered. I need to make another round through books and get the remaining papers organized.

I am still blonde, with shoulder length hair. Can't imagine changing it! I do the colouring myself. I want to look super sexy and young till I am in my grave! I am not an old lady!

Huge flocks of Canadian geese flew over earlier. Awesome sign that spring is on its way before too long. When we see a robin, it'll be the final sign that spring is here - don't expect that for quite a while yet, but seeing the geese today is encouraging. Sun's out again, too so that'll melt some more snow. Hope doesn't cause too bad of flooding in different areas due to the sudden warm weather, though. Saw a flood warning on TV earlier for lots of areas near here.
Shoveling the snow off my raised flower beds yesterday paid off - the rest of it melted on it & I can see tips of tulips & daffodils today. (Plus it burned off some calories.) Now just hope they don't get dumped on with a bunch of snow again. Will be even better when the rest of snow is gone off the rest of the yard so I can see the regrowth of flowers in the rest of the beds. Love springtime (despite the mud & allergies that goes with it) when everything starts to grow again. Love working out in the gardens & easy to work off lots of calories when I get to do that. Wish the growing season wasn't so short for us, though. The someday goal for hubby & I is to move somewhere with less snow. Even if it's still in NY - weather is better & considerably less snow even just an hour drive away from here. We're right in a snow belt that gets lots of lake effect snow.
Did an hour on the treadmill & posting while I eat a late lunch. Haven't heard back yet from the other Mom who was going to movies with us, so don't know if still doing that today - maybe tomorrow instead. I have bunch of stuff to get done around house anyway, so need to finish eating & get busy on that. One thing about eating healthier - takes longer to eat. Harder to wolf down carrots, fruits & almonds. Of course, if I wasn't sitting here typing, I'd finish my lunch sooner. Then again, makes me eat slower, which is a good thing. Also won't be too hungry for much dinner later, since eating lunch so late (almost 3:30 already).
Gotta go. Take care. -- Becky (NY)2 -

Queene - hope the surgery goes well and the finger heals quickly.
One of my tasks this year (18 before 2018) is to see a dermatologist about callouses I have on fingers and wrist. I'm a serious writer... I make seriously heavy marks when I write - creating callouses. ;-)
Charleen - congrats on the 4lb loss! Great closet system. I should've done something like this in my craft supply closet. Instead I hung wire shelves off the existing two wire shelves. It works. But... if it ever fails... I'm in so much trouble.
Pip - the knees look much improved. You're healing nicely.
Sarah - I have numbness in my middle finger, right hand. For about a year now. MRI. Ortho doc thinks it's a pinched nerve in my neck. Had PT including traction...no improvement. I'm still doing neck exercises though. Years of being hunched over a computer... BTW - the MRI on my neck - burned a place under my right breast. Infection. Wound care specialist and 2 months to heal. There was no metal in me. No reason for the burn. I'm told it happens sometimes.
Gray Hair convo - I let mine go natural. I'm retired. I wanted a lower maintenance lifestyle. I'm happy with it.
Have a great day folks!

Did an hour of yoga then 45 min of step class. There is an abs class afterwards, but I was so sweaty that I just knew that I’d be shaking so I didn’t take it. Plus, from the last time I took the abs class they don’t do anything for the back. Don’t know what, if anything, I’ll do tomorrow. Depends on what time we need to leave for Daytona.
After exercise went to Beals Outlet, didn’t find anything, The went to the library here to reactivate my library card and get accesss to their audiobooks. The really don’t have much. Hopefully, they’ll get more in the future. Then it was so breezy that I just laid by the pool.
We’re getting low on our data available (thanks Windows 10) so I’m going to make this short.
Put those cookies in a tin so I no longer see them every time I’m passing by the pantry. Vince has taken to “I’ve been eating too much down here”. I don’t think so
KJ – lovely daughter you have
I don’t spend much time at all on facebook
Lanette – should we sell the condo, I know Vince will still want to go to the Daytona. We’d just have to stay at a hotel. Which means we’ll make it a short stay. I really like being able to bring the cats and I know Vince does, maybe I can use that?? We couldn’t use coconut oil on the cats unfortunately. Hoping for continued employment for you

For me my hair is who I am. When I lost it through chemo, it was like losing myself. I need my hair to feel myself, a young, sexy, vibrant, attractive woman. I am not beautiful, or even pretty, but I have great hair.

I admire you all that have taken an active role in fighting this thing called aging! For me, I kind of just submitted to it. Many of my friends here are between 60-90 yes old. At our KOA campgrounds, they have an indoor pool. If you are a local senior citizen, you can swim for free. So at 51 I went, along with my 'legal' friends. No one said anything to me because heck, I looked the part! If I lived in the city, I know I would look at aging differently, but out on the coast life seems more grittier.
Today we went to a food bank. On the way dear husband wanted a slice of pizza so he got his pizza and we went to a lookout while he ate. I didn't want pizza, and surprisingly enough, I have no qualms about him eating in front of me like I used to. It was nice looking at the waves, listening to music, and engaging in great conversation. At the food bank I got a small young turkey! I also got some grape tomatoes, bag of spinach, strawberries, 3 Asian pears, 2 baguettes, and other stuff. Its kind of depressing we qualify, but we are grateful for it.
This morning it snowed! At the coast! In February! Crazy, that's what THAT is. It was pretty though, and didn't stick around.
Called my older sister and we had a great conversation! I will find a pic of her. She said she was thinking of letting her dark brown hair go grey, but her daughter-in-law said,"Nope, I am not ready to see you be grey!". "So what, you don't stop coloring because others can't picture you..what...looking older?" I told her. So crazy. Her and I trashed-talked about our middle sister. My middle sis is turning into a creepy "click liker" on Facebook. Not actually typing to us just lurking in the shadows " click liking" everything we post. I think that's just plain rude! I did a test and last week I posted that I had gone thru a rough week because 2 of my friends here had passed away. I saw she was online. Did she comment to me?
No, she just "click liked" it! What? Crazy sister liked my rough week? Pheffft!
I haven't actually talked to my middle sister since July! I like you all more than struggling to keep a sister relationship going. You all can be my sisters. Heck, aren't you all already??

Hello, I started MFP about a month ago. I am now venturing out to see what else is here. In reading some of your thread, I love how supportive you are of each other. Something that I am looking for since I am getting little suppport on the homefront. I am 52 and trying to loose weight for health reasons & so I can be around to enjoy my grandkids!
Would like to join your group.7 -
Hi All,
I enjoy reading and keeping up with everyone. My weekly weigh in today was up by a pound but will watch my eating more carefully this next week and hopefully Friday weigh in next week will be down. Have been exercising and walking with Ella a couple times a day. Feels like spring and there is warmth to the sun. What a treat.
Wishing everyone well and appreciate the information and the sharing.
Lanette, I made your Low carb flaxseed /almond meal muffins. Fabulous. Thank you for the recipe.
Barbie, hoping you get good news from the vet.
Have a great weekend everyone,

Karen in VA ... both you and your partner look like blondes on my computer! Hope the surgery goes well and your partner's recovery is quick and complete.
Heather ... I couldn't imagine you without your blonde hair ... it suits you just right. But you're sadly mistaken about the "not pretty" part ...
Kelly ... will be thinking of you and praying for your family. Hugs.
Hereslibby ... you joined by posting ... welcome!
My hair is definitely gray ... but overhead lighting can be a girl's best friend! When my family saw my little photo, they asked if I had colored my hair
Well, it looks like the month will be a bust with my weight loss efforts ... Younger son (one with migraines), however, informed me that he is now down 64 pounds since August! He'll be home from school on break in March and we'll be shopping again. Very proud of him! He still has anywhere between 20 and 40 pounds to go ... hard to tell since he's been overweight so long ... we're not certain where he should be with his body frame.
And it looks like husband will be facing more surgery. Surgeon is moving forward with securing a date, but in the meantime will send him to a chiropractor associated with the neurosurgery group to help relieve pain. Husband refuses to go back on opiates. They could fuse his back but they believe that is too extreme for his age and would significantly reduce his mobility. Given the things that he loves to do, this would be a bitter pill to swallow. So they plan to go back in and do more bone reduction and perhaps disc reduction too. Felt so bad for him I made steamed brussel sprouts for dinner ... and believe me that's a sign of love on my part ... blech!
71 degrees near Buffalo today!! Wow! But gusty winds are bringing in colder weather tomorrow.

Lanette, neither the dogs nor I have noticed any earthquake activity. I didn't even know there had been any.
Gray hair conversation. Here's what my hair looks like now. It started heading toward this color when I was in my late 40's and I never even tried to color it.
