It's a small thing. I now have several fitness and health apps on my phone, so I've moved them to their own page. Evidence of my new active lifestyle!

@Madwife2009 what wonderful pictures!! Thanks for sharing as I'm watching sleet out the window and hoping for spring with all my heart!
My NSV - shimmied right on into an old, thinner-me pair of work pants this morning when I realized the pair I planned to wear was looking downright sloppy. Didn't have time to do a happy dance as I was super late, but I've been grinning all day15 -
Just realized I can slide my jeans off without unbuttoning them! Scale is moving in the wrong direction, but evidently my body is still changing.22

Killing it at my daughter's elegant wedding this past weekend in a designer dress!

I kicked *kitten* today16

I am wearing a size M dress (Indian size, UK 10 probably) which was a gift from my brother and in which I did not fit just last month. I have received so many compliments so far.
I was about to throw the towel and give up this morning when I saw the scale had not budged this week (did not go to the gym, no fruit today, no healthy breakfast either). I have only really lost around 3 KGs so far but the strength training is doing something.
My faith in strength has been restored. But I would really like to see the scale move.26 -
I went for the first training for my hometown's women's run - "fit in 12 weeks" yesterday and I realized I was not as unfit as I had feared I would be. I actually enjoyed it!18

I've gotten to the point I no longer want soda or chocolate! I used to drink 3-4 sodas a day (no water) and yesterday I tried to drink 1 for the first time in about a month and after a sip was like "yuck." I now would rather have water!!! I also used to be a chocolate junkie, now I look forward to my oranges with 2 tbs whipped toppling (low calorie) or my yogurt with fresh fruit for dessert!
As far as looks wise, I'm still not there. I haven't gone down a pants size or shirt size yet even though I've lost about 10 lbs. Hopefully soon I can say "I'm finally back in my size small shirts" but that's a ways away as I'm in 14 pants and xl shirts atm.13 -

That's awesome!!! I start Week Four, Day 1 tonight and am really nervous about the five minute runs. I can't wait for the day I can say I've completed the program! Congratulations and good luck with your 10k!
You will do just fine! It was hard starting over but I kept telling myself, I did before and I can do it again. You will be amazed what your body is capable of when you run those 5 mins
I'm on week 9 now of c210k which is when the 10K trainer starts. First run was hard but I did it! Yay! I then walked to work which is an hour door to door. For the first time in ages, I feel I can accomplish any thing!
I'm cheering you on!11 -
Just got a "every time I see you, you're slimmer. You're looking good!"15

My taste has change so much that I no longer fancy or crave cakes/ sweet desserts. Still like cheese though but it is amazing how I was a sweet/savoury girl and now I am full blown savoury. Didn't see that coming at all.14

Walked by the mirror at work the other day and thought "hey, you actually are getting smaller" gave myself a thumbs up and kept it moving39

I was putting on pants the other day, and noticed I accidentally buckled around my REAL waist (where my belly button is), and not my "normal waist" (below my "beer belly") ... and I didn't think I looked like a dork or an "old man" who hikes up his pants.24

Awesome progress and posts everyone! Mine is being happy with how a shirt I love is looking on me right now. I've been avoiding certain clothes because I feel frumpy in them so this made me pretty happy15

I have actually been there several other times in the past few years (usually on my way to visit family elsewhere), but I have never once looked up any of my old friends there, because I didn't want them to see me fat. When I left there, I was really thin, and I just couldn't handle the shocked look on all of their faces as they reacted to seeing me before ultimately trying to play it off like they didn't notice. Well, this time, I've reached out to them so that we can finally catch up in person. I won't be to my goal weight—only a little over halfway—but I'm making progress and no longer feel ashamed about my physical state of affairs. I'm actually looking forward to seeing them.
I can totally relate. Congrats on your weight loss and re-found confidence

I didn't even realise it had done that! Close enough though I guess. For the more confused, here's the Latin/scientific name: Salix caprea
Omg, I'm dying. So funny! When I was little I actually tried to name my cat P€$$¥ Willow (altered to avoid the mod bots), because he was really fluffy and reminded me of the plant...and I was pretty determined about giving him--yes, him--that name, so my poor parents had to stumble through the most awkward explanation ever of why that would not be a good name for kitty and the kinds of issues that might be caused by our calling for him outside. We ended up naming him Tommy instead.
Oh, and I have a new NSV. I have to actually scrunch my face down to make a double chin now. It's not just hanging out there on its own anymore.

I've got two. My "fat jeans" fit a little looser today, and I avoided the tacos yesterday.27

Fabulous - I was very excited the day my double (actually more like triple, no quadruple) chin vanished

My back fat rolls aren't so much rolls any more.27

Hihi. I define their slow disappearance in 'cups lost'. My back-boobs are only an A cup now... they used to be closer to Cs...
My front ones, on the other hand, are still clinging to the G... But I see an F (DD or DDD in the US?) on the horizon!21 -
I managed to convince myself to go for a run last night despite it being close to zero degrees, foggy and raining. I made it just shy of 5K. Also came across a group of "professional" runners who were decked out in their fancy gear, headlamps, etc. Although I was no where near able to keep up with them, the fact that I was equally dedicated enough to be out training despite the crappy weather made me smile41

I woke up this morning and I was neither starving nor stuffed. Before, if I binged the night before, I would wake up feeling lethargic. If I starved dieted the night before, I would wake up ravenously hungry. But this morning, I felt light and energetic and I was able to prepare a healthy breakfast and ... yeah it was great.

We had a going-away party for a coworker, and the boss brought in Publix carrot cake. I don't really like cc, but I like cream cheese frosting. However, I didn't get any cake or any frosting - just joined the table and drank my water!20

My ex step sister had a cat named Puss Puss. That was fun to yell out the door when the cat got out...7 -
No Scalpel Vasectomy (NSV)? No thanks I've not had one nor do I intend to!5

Having already decided to be alcohol-free for Lent, I discovered a March alcohol-free challenge in the forums. Nice to have support through March. I woke up this morning after day 1 sans alcohol feeling like a different person. Immediately put on workout clothes so in my first work break (work from home) I can head to the gym. Wanted yogurt instead of diet coke. Man, I was not aware of how much wine was affecting me. I had the best sleep last night I've had in ages. Also hopped on the scale for the first time in a week and was down a surprising amount (not NSV, but I'm thinking tied in to the wine).
Changed my profile pic because I was so happy to feel like a butterfly, but my same old gray avatar is showing up here although the new pic shows up when I check in. Any suggestions?13 -
Purchased size 12 slacks. I was wearing size 16 and those where beginning to fit tight. 24 lbs downs and 24 to go!!18

There's a brief(ish) delay between updating your MFP profile pic & having it show up in the forum software - not tightly integrated. Give a few hours or a day.3 -
I finally bought new pants, after admitting that every single pair I own is way too big and I was looking a bit...homeless. The next day at work, 2 separate people told me how great I'm looking!23
