But you're still here, plugging away. Last night was an epic fail for me - so much so that I cannot even begin to guess to log it - heavy hors d'oeuvres and open bar. I'm with you - just write that off and begin fresh today.

Thank you! I am in Onederland, which makes me pretty darn happy! Hoping it sticks! It almost seems to good to be true! I also am finally below 40% BF (I use the Navy method of calculating). I am continuing to march on to my next mini goal of 195ish by the end of this month!6 -
@luvmy4sps You can do it! Congratulations on getting below 40% BMI, too. It seems like that is so slow to change for me.1

Just want to say kudos to everyone hanging in there. I noticed a lot of first and only posters in the beginning of this thread.

Starting weight: 214.6 lbs
Goal weight: 155lbs
Current weight: 214.6lbs
Total weight lost: This is my first day on this challenge
This week's successes: eating healthy all week and somehow managed to get to the gym 2 times when i have a baby/work full time/college full time studying fitness health and nutrition
This week's challenges: I have a big assessment week so fitting the gym in and studying may conflict.
Week 2
Starting weight: 214.6 lbs
Goal weight: 155lbs
Current weight: 208.2lbs
Total weight lost: 6.4lbs
This week's successes: I lost 6.3lbs this week im so happy weighs the same as a 1 metre tall baby kangaroo. Target was 2lbs a week so im happy
This week's challenges: my son was at grannys this weekend so we had a wee drink so need to go ti the gym more than my usual twice a week this week and stick to diet religiously to hit 2lbs target
Week 3
Starting weight: 214.6 lbs
Goal weight: 155lbs
Current weight: 210.2lbs
Weight Lost this week: 2lbs GAIN
Total weight lost: 4.4lbs
This week's successes: I went to the gym twice this week for the full 1 hour session each time and I have written up an exercise plan with beginners FITT principles in place, Target was 2lbs a week so I'm happy because in total my goal by this week was to be 4lbs in total loss so I'm on target and will not let this week get to me - I'm also upping my gym days to 3 times per week so I'm getting the weekly recommended cardio and Resistance training per week
This week's challenges: I'm not drinking any alcohol this weekend as (1) I have my son and (2) I did enough of that last weekend with my son being at granny's that's what definitely through me off as didn't eat/drink clean 2/3 days. Its also going to be hard upping my gym to one more day as with work and college and the gym so far I'm missing my son so so much but I'm doing this for him. Also finding time to meal prep so to not spend on quick healthy expensive things when I can do that at home.
Week 4
Starting weight: 214.5 lbs
Goal weight: 155lbs
Current weight: 208.7lbs
Weight Lost this week: 1.5lbs loss
Total weight lost: 5.9lbs
This week's successes: by this week I should be at 6lbs total loss and 0.1 away which doesn't bother me as been at the gym 3 days this week - tried new foods - upped my protein a little and know what I am doing in the gym more now rather than just going in and going to any piece of equipment - A loss is a loss at the end of the day and my gain would be in muscle as doing a lot of strength training on my arm so I have a little muscle to be able to burn fat more efficiently there.
This week's challenges: as I was a tinny bit off target I will not have my Friday glass of prosecco when son is sleeping lol - my niece, her boyfriend and daughter are wanting me and son to go for dinner, its not the food I will struggle with that's not an issue just being the only sober 1 I don't really like drinking its just drunk people especially loved ones are the most annoying ha-ha. Need to stretch out my gym sessions a little don't feel as sore as I should.
Week 5
Starting weight: 214.5 lbs
Goal weight: 155lbs
Current weight: 205.3lbs
Weight Lost this week: 3.5lbs loss

Week 6 (3/10):
Starting weight: 175 (1/30/17)
Goal weight: 140ish
Current weight: 170.2
Gain this week: +1.5
This week's success: Although I gained this week I am feeling great. There have been a lot of changes and challenges this week. I managed to log every day, drink more water, and hit my exercise and step count for every day. I am succeeding in my challenges and making new friends to support me in this journey.
This week's challenge: I am really working to find the correct number of calories to be eating. I had cut back to much and was in a very bad cycle. So I have increased the calories. I am working on finding the right number, (it has only been a week now and that can take some time). I am pleased that I am seeing fluctuation in the scale (like today being up) and not panicking. Weight loss changes every day, depending on so many things my numbers are all over the place. I would have loved for today to be a down day (like it was last week) but it wasn't, oh well. The trend is in the correct direction, so I will take it.
On another note: I start back in my Grad school program on Monday. I chose to take a semester and a half off to work on some 'issues' with my kids at home. I am glad to say we were able to 'fix' the issues and make everyone more comfortable sooner than we thought, so I get to start again now. This is a bit of a challenge for me...I had lost all my weight and kept it off for more than 2 years before I started the program 2 years ago now. It was poor middle of the night eating while I was studying that started me on my weight gain. I am much more focused now, but I need to get into a better routine with everything, mostly studying so I can find balance in my life with the kids and their school, my school, my home life, Hubby, and eating better. Oh yea, I need to fit in work for my church (I hold 2 offices) and teach Sunday school, run a youth group, am an ambassador for my college, need to continue my new love for running, helping my autistic son do better with me being in school, and help my younger son not feel left out in the shuffle. Yea, there was no reason for me to be stressed and over eat. Glad I am learning new ways to cope with stress. I can do this, it is all God's plan. I just have to have faith.
Hope you all have a great week, I love reading about you all; it keeps me real and honest, it connects and grounds me on this crazy thing called life. Thanks for sharing your journeys.6 -

My goal last week was to reach 1.5 bowling balls of weight loss. I weighed-In this morning at 1.6 BBs or 24 lbs from my starting weight. This was a disciplined week for me. Everything I ate was clean and unprocessed. Also I stuck mostly to meals and avoided snacks.
On Monday I get rid of the sling I’ve been wearing for the last six weeks for my shoulder surgery recovery. Tuesday begins my shoulder therapy exercises. My hope is that adding exercise to my clean eating will keep me on a losing streak.

You are moving in a downward trend. Don't let one week get you down. You've made amazing progress so far!

This week's successes: Another pound off despite the three extravagant nights. I balanced them with exercise and being slightly under calorie target on other days.
This week's challenges: Don't know to be honest. I'm really enjoying this. I think this steady and slow approach is ideal, as I remain on target with steady but sporadic gym work and sensible eating. Have also had the opportunity to enjoy days out with the lads and a weekend city trip, and still remain on target.

This is exactly how I feel. No trying to run a marathon a day with a bag of cement on your back whilst feasting on raw egg and lettuce, just sensible eating, learning about calorific values through MFP and making necessary adjustments. This way you can treat yourself to the odd drink and dirty food whilst still losing weight and/or inches.
