It's quite a workout. I am going to do something similar but different using my Jillian cds. I have posted a topic called July 4th start. Jillian Michael 30 day slim down with a twist, if you are interested. I prefer 30 minute routines, where I can jump on my treadmill or elliptical for another 15.

    W4D4 done!

That sounds great! I think I'm going to take what you posted and tweek it as well. I will probably throw some ripped in 30 and 6 week 6 pack in there and take out some of the shred workouts. It will probably end up being my August project.

    W2D2 done!

Level 3 done!! WOW, that was tough but it did get more tolerable as I completed day 4 and day 5 (but by no means easy, it was tough, just a bit tolerable)....I won't be able to move on to L4 until late next week so in the meantime I will be doing C25K and some weights.................keep up the great work ladies!!!

    W2D3 done!
  • Just finished week 3 and starting week 4 tomorrow! My shoulder is a bit sore so will need to take it easy there. Other than that, I thought week 3 was very difficult but I really liked it. I hated all the planks in week 2. So nervous for tomorrow but excited to be almost completed.

W2D6 done! I feel like the first two levels were pretty easy so far because I had just come off the shred. I've done 6 days of level 1 and 6 of level 2 so far. I'm thinking I will end up doing 6 days at level 1, 7 at level 2, 8 at level 3 and 9 at level 4. At least that was my plan!

What does everyone think of levels 3 and 4? Are they pretty tough in comparison to the first two levels?

What do you guys think of this schedule for 30 day slimdown? I took what kel posted and tweaked it for myself to incorporate more videos. (I was going to do 6 week 6 pack next but think I'll just throw that into the slimdown instead first). Also let me know if you would be interested in doing a 30 day slimdown type deal with me starting in the end of July!

  • Today is my LAST day of Ripped. I am so proud of myself for making it through! I think I lost about 5 lbs (wasnt weighing regularly bc more concerned about muscle building) but I DEFINITELY see more toning. I don't look exactly like Jillian lol, but I look at lot closer to her than I did before I started and I think more defined than I've ever looked in my life (and I was always a stringbean before children but I prefer how I look now which makes me so happy!). I still have about 8 more lbs I want to lose so I am starting the 30 Day Shred and 6 Week 6 Pack on Monday. I am so grateful for Jillian; because of her I can get an amazing workout while the kids nap!

Congratulations to all of us; we rock!

Great job EVERYBODY!! I love Jillian as well, she is tough, but that is what I need (even though I ***** the whole time I"m doing it, LOL!!). I did 2 days of Level 4 and I can actually say I like Level 4 better than L3.....it is hard, but I like the exercises better. I will finish up the end of this week and post my results. Keep it up ladies!!
  • Starting W4D1 today! So excited to be done with duck walks! Week 3 was tough but i can definitely see definition from it, especially in my arms. Circuit 3 was brutal- arms were like jelly the whole time :)

I am DONE!! YAY!! Here are my results: start weight 191.5, ending 187 (total weight lost 4.5), arm starting 13.5" and no change after, starting waist 36", ending 35" (total inches lost 1"), staring hip 49", ending 47" (total inches lost 2"), breast area start 39.25", ending 38.5" (total inches lost 3/4"), leg at start 25.75", ending 24.5" (total inches lost 1.25")..........TOTAL inches lost of 5"....I felt like it was more because I feel more firm and not so jiggly, LOL, so it was worth it. I will do this again in 30 days and for now I am going to do C25K on my treadmill and weight lifting in between........Good luck ladies

  • Question - do you guys really do a specific week workout for 7 days before you move to the next week, or do you do it 7 times (maybe longer than a calendar week), or do you do it until you are ready to move on (bored or accomplished)?

I gave myself a schedule of 6 days on level 1, 7 on level 2, 8 on level 3 (still on this level currently) and 9 on level 4. This has been working really well for me but I think it is about doing what works for you. Good luck!

How are you guys logging your workouts in the journal? I've logging it as cardio but I'm not sure that is correct. I started Ripped in 30 and completed it in mid April/May but then soon after quit working out and watching my diet. I've started back up and I am determined to get healthy. I started week one again and I'm a little sore but it's worth it.

I did each level 6 times, it took me more than 30 days, but it's whatever works for you! I will do each level again, not in any order, but work on the ones I feel like doing for that day..and I am also walking/running on treadmill.........

I record it as cardio, "circuit training' and I think that is what most people record it as.....

How many calories are you guys eating daily?

I am on only on day 4 of Level 1 and noticing small changes in my tone(yay!), but haven't been eating more than 1400 calories per day- usually less, never <1200. I don't have a HRM, but I have been seeing levels of at least 200kcal/workout from other posters and am worried that I'm not fueling my body well enough! I don't feel starved, but I know that it can also cause excess fat storage when you don't have a large enough # of net calories.

    Currently 5'6" / 128 lbs
Goal is to maybe lose a few lbs but mostly tighten the loose stuff and feel stronger and in better shape overall!

    Thanks!

I use a heart rate monitor, too, and it calculates my calories burned. I've actually burned up to 400 calories on week one. I think it depends some on your weight, too. It's a killer, right!?

How many days a week do you do the Ripped in 30?

I did it 5 (sometimes 6) days a week, but it is your personal preference. JM suggests one day of rest each week...
