07/02 - 137 YIKES!!! This is a good reminder why I don't eat the way I did last night on any kind of regular basis! It tasted better than it felt. And I knew while I was eating that I would regret it in the morning. Lesson learned. And I have already repented and ran 5 miles this morning. Hopefully it won't take the entire challenge to get back to where I was and a little less (I hope). Shameful
07/03 - 133.8 Much better. Forward, March! So to the speak. Got in my gym workout today. May try and squeeze in another tomorrow before Independence Day celebrations. Happy and safe 4th of July everyone.

I am restarting - getting back on track AGAIN today after another 'lost the plot' yo yo = a weight gain of 35 pounds after yet another loss of 56 pounds. (There have been a few of these) I hope that signing up to challenges and support will help me to FOCUS on my goal.
THE PAST IS NOT OUR FUTURE...WHAT MATTERS IS NOW AND WHAT WE DO NEXT. May lightness be with you all!

7/3 - 81.9kg - Holy Water Retention, Batman! To be fair, after being very strict for 10 days I had two days of eating just under 2000 calories so I was expecting there to be some scale recriminations. But weekend's over, back to the grind! I'll try not to let this frustrate me.
7/4 - 81.2kg - Water weight is going down but I have also not been able to "go" for three days. (Lol, sorry if TMI.) Hope I see a bit more of a reduction tomorrow...

7/3: 169 lbs. Not unexpected after a 5 day family holiday. Too many restaurant meals, and a garden party. Hopefully some of it is water retention, so this week I will hydrate and eat clean.
7/4: 166.8 lbs. Phew! Glad that worked well! I will go with the flow for the rest of this week, and see if I can shift some more excess baggage. Lol!

7/3- 171.0 lbs I ate horrible yesterday while on the road. Sodium, sugar, and carbs.... oh my.
7/4- 172.4 I had takeout fries and popcorn. I want to say this is because of the sodium. Although today is the 4th I'm going to do better.

By the way I see a trend of people getting upset or confused about upward swings. Fluctuations mean nothing unless you constantly continue to trend upwards. Always look at the overall trend, not the individual day. Look at weekly and monthly trends to get a sense of where you're headed.
As I'm sure you all know, scale swings can be related to higher sodium intake, meal timing, bowel function, muscles retaining water after workouts, dehydration, etc. It sounds counter-intuitive but dehydration causes major water retention and a higher number on the scale. When you don't drink enough water, your body holds everything it can. It NEEDS water to function.
Also, always remember that we can't physically gain a pound or more of muscle or fat overnight. The absolute worst we can do is gain about 2# of adipose tissue (fat) per week and we can gain about a half pound of muscle per week. So just keep the scale trending downwards (if thats your goal), doesn't have to be a steady drop.
KEEP AT IT! We reach our goals by crushing obstacles and embracing defeats. Setbacks should only cause us to work harder, never give up!6 -

07/02 149.0 Down from yesterday: could it be the haircut? Here's to a fresh start and healthy eating. My goal is to lose at least 2 lbs this go round so I'd like to see the scale at 147 or below. Good losing everyone.
07/03 148 Hmmm, a big drop 2 days in a row.Water? Did 75 min on elliptical yesterday. Off to gym today. Salads. My life needs more salads.
07/04 147.2 Almost back to where I was 2 weeks ago. This should stick. It seems to be my pattern: down, up, down up, down, stick. Another 75 on elliptical and more cleaning spare bedroom. Stayed low on cals and within on carbs despite a couple glasses of prosecco. I do love me some prosecco. Feeling light and good. Happy Fourth, ya'all.

Round 8--On vacation
Went on vacation for two weeks. Had a great time. The scale showed a 7.3lb gain, I thought it would be a lot more, but I know a lot of it is water retention, messed up sleep schedule, and extra salt from all of the restaurant meals. Ready to get back to regular eating and exercising. My goal for this round is to get back down to or close to my pre-vacation weight.

07/02: 213.6 -- under calories, worked out. Very sore today.
07/03: 211.8 -- shocking. Slightly over calories yesterday, did a light workout. Still sore.
07/04: 213.8 -- Knew it was too good to be true. Starving all day yesterday, overate but exercised and had only one beer.
