My Round 2/Your Round 9
R1 SW: 195
R2 SW: 190
GW: 189: I know it isn't much, but if I can just push through the 190's and go under, I will be thrilled.
Day Weight Comments
07/02: 190 lbs: I must admit I did eat more carbs this weekend. I had pizza and McDonald's even though I stayed under my calorie intake for the day, and I exercised. Must be all the salt and less water intake.
07/03 191: I drank more water today, but since it was a day off from work, I met my husband for lunch, and had an Arroz Con Pollo. I am going to pay for this.. I could taste the sodium. It was almost as though I could feel my blood pressure go up.
07/04 190: The food must have not hit me yet, but I was under my calorie intake and I did exercise. I ate healthy also.
07/05 191.5, and here we go! I need to get back to a more restrictive diet but not starve myself. I have to remember there is more to me than just a number.
07/06 191.5 I stuck to low carb diet today and biked 6 miles. So, hopefully I will see myself losing something tomorrow.
07/07 192: I don't get it at all. I exercised yesterday, ate beneath my calorie intake, and drank 48 oz. of water. I'm feeling bummed.2 -
Round 7 Start 136.1 End 134.5
Round 8 Start 134.5 End 133.5
Round 9 Start 133.9 Goal 133.5
I'm in!! My goal for this round is actually to maintain my weight. We have a long holiday weekend and I know it will be filled with temptation. I am going to try to get some workouts in, but this morning it's pouring rain and an inside workout is so hard.
Day Weight Comments
07/02 - 133.9
Not a horrible gain...I am being mindful of calories this weekend, but also eating way over my budget. My goal is to end these 10 days no higher than the end of round 8 ... 133.5
PS - I did get that workout out in 3.5 miles outside in the pouring rain!!!
07/03 - 137.4
Overnight! Yesterday and today I am not counting calories. Yesterday got a little more out of control than I had hoped ... 10 day goal is to wind up where I ended round 8 - 133.5 - I have to keep reminding myself
07/04 - 137.1
The key for me is to stay away from the appetizers!! I'm down a bit from yesterday and now I hope to spend the next 7 days getting back to 133.5.
07/05 - 137.6
I truly had good intentions yesterday Of getting back on the wagon after the long holiday weekend … Then my neighbors came over at 10 AM for coffee and it turned into a day of swimming, eating leftovers, ordering pizza and drinking beer. It was a fun day, but I seriously need to buckle down to get back to my starting weight for the round. Headed out now for my workout!!
07/06 - 135.2
Got in a great 5 mile workout yesterday and stayed under calories. No workout partner today so it may be harder to get it in, but I will!! Still have a goal of getting back to my start weight for this 10 days!!
07/07 - 134.4
Headed in the right direction ... 1 more pound to go to reach my round 8 start weight and my goal for 7/11. BUT now the weekend ... I don't usually workout Saturday and Sunday, but I'm shooting to this weekend to get some extra calories.

7/6 - 168.8 - Finally! some movement in the right direction! let's see if I can keep the momentum.
7/7 - 169.2 - 11 hour work day mostly sitting on my bum, so no workout, went over calories just a bit and dinner was high in fat and sodium, so not an awful gain considering. Back on track with exercise and diet today

Since I am new to this accountability thread I will give you a little background
Female, 56, Married
Started the year at 226.4
Goal for 2017 is a pound a week. So far I am on track.
I am not interested in quick weight loss. At best it is horrible on my hair. Freaked out the shampoo girl a few years ago when we had an office competition.
I eat everything, all the foods.
My main exercise is wogging. Thinking about doing a C25K training
Considering making my life more difficult and changing jobs.
It's the best way in weight in's, with no clothes on. My day is every Friday morning on a empty stomach0 -
Starting weight 148
Starting weight end of Round 8 Challenge 133.8
Goal weight 132
Ultimate goal 130
07/02 - 137 YIKES!!! This is a good reminder why I don't eat the way I did last night on any kind of regular basis! It tasted better than it felt. And I knew while I was eating that I would regret it in the morning. Lesson learned. And I have already repented and ran 5 miles this morning. Hopefully it won't take the entire challenge to get back to where I was and a little less (I hope). Shameful
07/03 - 133.8 Much better. Forward, March! So to the speak. Got in my gym workout today. May try and squeeze in another tomorrow before Independence Day celebrations. Happy and safe 4th of July everyone.
07/04 - 133.8 Went to the gym this morning and minding my eating so far on this holiday.
07/05 - 133.2 woohoo!!! I am thrilled. Going out of town the last 4 days of this challenge. Would love to get 133 to stick. Today is a rest day (always dangerous). But will be pounding the pavement tomorrow morning in the hot Florida heat. Always trying to be mindful with eating. Happy hump day all .
07/06 - 133.8 YoYo
07/07 - 133.6 slow and steady wins the race. Staying in the 133's . At the gym now. Going away this weekend. Maybe no scale. Always mindful4 -
Round 9!
Starting weight beginning of March =162.6 My weight yesterday - Saturday - morning was up from earlier in week: 149.8
Here's to success for all of us on our journey.
Day Weight Comments
07/02 149.0 Down from yesterday: could it be the haircut? Here's to a fresh start and healthy eating. My goal is to lose at least 2 lbs this go round so I'd like to see the scale at 147 or below. Good losing everyone.
07/03 148 Hmmm, a big drop 2 days in a row.Water? Did 75 min on elliptical yesterday. Off to gym today. Salads. My life needs more salads.
07/04 147.2 Almost back to where I was 2 weeks ago. This should stick. It seems to be my pattern: down, up, down up, down, stick. Another 75 on elliptical and more cleaning spare bedroom. Stayed low on cals and within on carbs despite a couple glasses of prosecco. I do love me some prosecco. Feeling light and good. Happy Fourth, ya'all.
07/05 147.4 Did a little holiday eating and another 75 on ellip. NSV while my sons ate shrimp po' boys I ate shrimp on a salad. Yhea me!
07/06 145.6 Oh, boy. Please stick. I'm due for a drop. Laid awake for hours last night and then slept in late so long time no eat or drink so water weight is down. Went to gym yesterday and ate way below cal and carbs. Just wasn't hungry. Got extra exercise playing chase with a 2 year old. Fun exercise.
07/07 146.6 C'est le vie. Ate way below, carbs below, 1 hr ellip and walk around the park. Still down 2 1/2 lbs since start of this round. Hoping for a little more. gym today and maybe aqua arthritis.

7/2- out of town, no scale available.
7/3- 171.0 lbs I ate horrible yesterday while on the road. Sodium, sugar, and carbs.... oh my.
7/4- 172.4 lbs I had takeout fries and popcorn. I want to say this is because of the sodium. Although today is the 4th I'm going to do better.
7/5- 172.2 lbs Feeling a little disappointed2 -
07/02: 135.4
I started yesterday with a HIIT workout and I've found that exercising 1st thing can put me in a healthy state of mind for the day. That being said, yesterday my friends and I threw a going away event for a soldier who is being shipped overseas for a year and I ate waaaay too much. I guess the moving around and setting up made a difference though.
07/03: 135.4
They built a new organic grocery store by our house and I went in and sampled a bunch of dairy free goodies like a bad girl. So I went over my cal count a bit. Did lunges and planks yesterday too.
07/04: 135
Today we went on a rainy 4 hr hike, as my husband didn't have to work on U.S. Independence Day. Came home and passed out and now we are both exhausted.
07/05: 135.2
The annoying life that is my plateau. I guess I should just be grateful that I have lost so much weight to begin with and suck it up. I just got to keep pushing on.
07/06: 134.6
Trying not to get overly excited when I get to this point because it always seems to go back up. Just going to accept it for the number that it is and see what tomorrow holds. Yesterday I only went on a short walk and wasn't that active. I'm starting to feel like maybe my fluctuations into this number are hormonal.
07/07: 133.6
So I got off and on the scale like 50 times this morning. I always weigh in the exact same place, before eating, after peeing, when I first get up. I have never been this low. Magical formula to weight loss? I went back to what I was doing at the beginning of this process. Prepping meals ahead of time and leaving myself a few calories to splurge with. At least...I'm hoping this is magic and not just some fluke.

07/02 265.6 Dad came over for the weekend, I insisted all we do was eat fast/junk food. Completely my fault. I did however order Beef & Broccoli instead of General Tso's!!! Deffo a NSV for me!
07/03 264.6 Surprised I lost a pound, Feeling super bummed I didn't log in originally on the 2nd, goal for this round is to get in the 50's. I felt like since I was so good and lost 6ish pounds in my R1, that if I lost anymore that month it would be unhealthy/going off too quick!
07/04 Did not weigh myself, probably too ashamed.
07/05 265.6 Well baby I’ve been here before, I’ve seen this room and I’ve walked this floor. It could have been worse, walking today so I am definitely excited to see the scale finally go down. No more holidays!! Baby steps. . .
07/06 266.6 Took a stroll on the beach, my stretchy pants inner thigh gave out and my leg is raw TOM is here, so not really surprised I went up!
07/07 265.6 Not too happy with my scale/the floor, having my TOM makes it 10x worse. . . Going to just eat okay and by round 4 I should be back on the train!

Round 8--On vacation
Went on vacation for two weeks. Had a great time. The scale showed a 7.3lb gain, I thought it would be a lot more, but I know a lot of it is water retention, messed up sleep schedule, and extra salt from all of the restaurant meals. Ready to get back to regular eating and exercising. My goal for this round is to get back down to or close to my pre-vacation weight.
07/02--235.6
07/03--233.4 Vacation water weight loss
07/04--230.3 More water weight
07/05--230.6 I think most, if not all, of the water weight from my vacation is gone.

7/3 - 81.9kg - Holy Water Retention, Batman! To be fair, after being very strict for 10 days I had two days of eating just under 2000 calories so I was expecting there to be some scale recriminations. But weekend's over, back to the grind! I'll try not to let this frustrate me.
7/4 - 81.2kg - Water weight is going down but I have also not been able to "go" for three days. (Lol, sorry if TMI.) Hope I see a bit more of a reduction tomorrow...
7/5 - 80.8kg - Getting there...still having "issues" so might be back to normal tomorrow, maybe even see a small loss because I've had one very good and one decent day. Going to try to go for a run with all of my might tonight, I really need to get back into it.
7/6 - 80.6kg - Nearly back where I was but I'm feeling frustrated about it all, not seeing progress makes me crabby. Hope the second half of this challenge is more positive for me.
7/7 - 80.6kg - I'm so frustrated I could cry. What exactly am I still retaining? Not going to have a good weekend at this rate.

07/02: 213.6 -- under calories, worked out. Very sore today.
07/03: 211.8 -- shocking. Slightly over calories yesterday, did a light workout. Still sore.
07/04: 213.8 -- Knew it was too good to be true. Starving all day yesterday, overate but exercised and had only one beer.
07/05: 213.8 -- Over calories yesterday but only by about 50, exercised.
07/06: 213.2 -- under calories yesterday, worked out. Tomorrow begins the beer fest weekend. I have workouts planned to take with me that I can do in B&B room.

So Starting on July 2- July 11 | JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, we will begin Round 9! Lets see what more we can do as we reach a total of 90 days consecutively!
Anyone else game?
Weighing yourself everyday? Controversial you may say? Well for me personally, checking the scale can be motivating. I read in a study of 3,500 people who maintained 60 or more pounds of weight loss for at least a year, researchers from the National Weight Control Registry found that 44 percent weighed themselves every day. Another study in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine found that overweight people are six times more likely to lose weight if they weigh themselves at least once a day. I don't about you, but it helps me and motivates me to keep going or to tweak what I did the day before. I never weigh more than just once in the morning. Our weight fluctuates constantly throughout the day with what we drink and consume, so only make it a 'once a day' rule for sanity sake. ~Hillcrestbaby
Let's give it our best 10 days ever for an inspirational jump into Summer!
Here is what to do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.

Goal for this round: 165.8
07/02: 166.6 - right direction, but yesterday I went over my calories and I'll be off work for the next couple of days which always disrupts my schedule.
07/03: 165.6 - I'm guessing I'm losing some water weight. Let's see if I can't try to maintain this or get below it.
07/04: 165.2 - over 20k steps yesterday and under calories.
07/05: 166.0 - didn't get much sleep last night and I was slightly over calories yesterday. back to the grind.
07/06: 166.8 - I've been doing this since October and it's still hard to see an uptake on the scale when I know I've been doing everything right even though I know it's water weight.

07/06 191.5 I stuck to low carb diet today and biked 6 miles. So, hopefully I will see myself losing something tomorrow.
07/07 192: I don't get it at all. I exercised yesterday, ate beneath my calorie intake, and drank 48 oz. of water. I'm feeling bummed.
Don't beat yourself up. There is many reasons your body holds on to water.. carbs is one, exercise is another. You know how when you get a burn your body pumps fluid to the area and it blisters? Or how a wound weeps? When you exercise minute little tears happen in your muscles and your body does the same thing to hold onto fluids to heal.
Weight loss is not linear, you will go up and down.. but the downs get a little lower as time goes on.. fat is not fluctuating it's coming off, it's water that's up and down.
Stick with it, you got this!

I exercised yesterday, ate beneath my calorie intake, and drank 48 oz. of water. I'm feeling bummed.
You are doing so well though! Keep up the great habits!3 -
Round 8 SW 253
Round 9 SW 248
07/02 247.6 Went jogging this morning and ran a 14 minute mile. Best this year! So tired though. Too much overtime.
07/03 247.0 I'm grateful/horrified that I'm both too tired to resist impulsive eating and too tired to actually go get anything unhealthy. Go me for planning ahead for weak times, and not having anything on hand.
07/04 246.8 Well, I made a cake for a holiday pot luck at work. Mindless batter eating. Oops. Will have to go for a run tomorrow to mitigate the sugary intake! Still, good day! Got to sleep in.
07/05 248.2 Saddness! OK, no, not really. Had my holiday splurge and it was great. Didn't get to go for a run either. Boo. It'll be better tonight.
07/06 246.6 Posting late. Went for a walk this morning. It was exactly what I needed. Numbers trending down again. Still, so tired. Got a few days off, going to sleep!
07/07 245.8 Not only am I almost at 20lbs lost, but I ran a 12:17 mile today and I am honestly not sure which I am more excited about! I'm lying, it's the run time! I blew July's '13 minute mile' goal away!
