This looks like just what I need. I went without weighing and joutnaling with another program and ended up gaining even though I was working out with a trainer and eating healthy.
I'm back on MFP and daily weighing.

This sounds great! Everyone tells me to only weight myself once a week, but I'd be interested in doing it everyday! I've lost 11.6 pounds two weeks by exercising more and logging my food. I'm looking keep going!! See you tomorrow!.

    I'm in!
Round 8 ending at 214.5 (July 1- My 1st round)
    Round 9 ending at 214.5 (July 11- 2nd round)

I just changed my calorie limit back to losing 2 lbs a week so it's now at 1350 (was at 1600). My ovreall goal this round is to lose the 2 lbs, but I'll be satisfied with one! Slow and steady wins the race.

Good luck with your goals this round to everyone!

Hi. I didn't do the other rounds, and have been away from logging for a while, but I'd like to join this round. Need to motivate myself to be accountable. I'm in menopause, and just found out my glucose is slightly elevated; I am determined to fight my family history of diabetes and heart problems.

Oh sweetie. Bless your heart. Go kick the family history in the teeth! You can do it. I am also here for health reasons. Not the same as yours but it's definitely a HUGE motivation, isn't it?

Ready for Round 10 (round 3 for me). Thank you for setting this up, Cyranda!

Weight bounces around so I need a way to see the trends on successive 10-day challenges, so am choosing to look at the mid-point between the high and low of the challenge.

    Round 8/1: HW 274 LW 269.8 MidW = 271.9
    Round 9/2: HW 269.4 LW 266.8 MidW=268.1

I sense two major challenges for this 10-day period. One is maintaining discipline over logging and calories. Cheating the diary just prolongs the process! The other is changing my cooking habits so I am making not just lower calorie supper but less of it. I am still cooking as if I am eating for two.

I understand about the portion confusion. I've weighed my food and measured. My son couldn't believe I was using a measuring spoon for dressing. I think of it as reprogramming my eyes. LOL I had no clue before what a reasonable portion was in order to lose or maintain. I have a couple of weight watcher's cook books and they have some good recipes. Tasty.

Hi, I'm new to this thread but would love to give it a try. I just recently started logging again, so I know that my current loss is mostly water weight and will need the motivation after the inevitable slowdown.

What kind of cravings do you have?

I call it the "donuts". Whenever I start tracking and cleaning up my diet, I always want sugary carbs. I usually try to make up for it with fruit.

Your Round 10/ My Round 4
    Round 7 [R1]: -5.8lbs
    Round 8 [R2]: +.6oz
    Round 9:N/A No scale
    Round 10 GW: 261
7/12 The verdict in is. . .267.4. Basically every effort I put into it has gone to poop. Now that I know where I am starting from, the goal is to get to 261  I was in a state of depression and became lazy as well, no one's fault but mine! I still have two pounds to splurge before I am back in the same spot I started off, so positive thoughts
