"Twolander" - the first goal for those folks starting at 300+ is to get into "Twoland" (a number that starts with 2 ie: 298). "Onederland" is of course, the next big goal for those of us who need or want to be in the 100's.
Thnx for the explanation. So, I guess I'm a twolander, hoping to become a onederland6 -
Good Morning All!! Welcome to Week # 3 of the Summer Heat Challenge!
Hope you are all having a fantastic week and we are working hard on our weight loss journey!!
I know with summer holidays, BBQs with friends, the heat that sometimes is too much to be outdoors and daily stress from busy life for some of us is getting harder to move forward with our journey but just think all we have achieve and use that as motivation to continue! I believe this process, doesn't matter how fast or slow it moves, is a great example of our personal strength and care for ourselves .. and yes we can do it and we will!!!
Thank you for submitting your weigh-in data ... we had another great week with tons of weight losses for the group ... woohoo!! We had 14 losses, 3 maintained and a couple gained a bit (I am sure soon will be gone!).
This week we loss gross as a group 26.8lbs! And net so far we have loss in this challenge 84.90!! (about 21% of our total group goal) Amazing!!!!!
@RunawayCurves awesome loss this week!!!
@ihp2015 welcome to the group and challenge!!
I know Niki already mentioned this, but just in case here goes again ... do submit your weigh-in details even of there was no change or a gain ... this challenge is to help us keep accountable, seek support from the group when there are difficulties and celebrate our successes! No one is going to judge anyone here, we all joined the group to help each other! I know some have not posted because on vacay, but ... don't forget to share your data
OK, my day is starting ... busy busy, I am already in the final countdown to move to my apartment, wiiiii!!
Have a great weekend!!!! Ciao!

I need help folks. I need help seeing it!! This is not a before and after but a during and during. The right side is 21 lbs down and the left is 46 lbs down. I feel that much weight lost should have a bigger impact. I don't feel or see that I have lost the equivalent of an average 6 year old!!
Edited to add: just realized the difference been photos only shows a 25lb loss, that makes me feel better.

Ok so hubby saw my other post and did something I asked him to do a long time ago if I ever got discouraged. Show me that pic of me at 16. Having to wear a size 26, being miserable. Then he told me to put on a better bra(lol, I have taught him well!!) and take a better pic!!!
I have come sooo far. I don't even know what I weighed in that highschool pic, but I know it was pushing 300lb. And look, I now have a neck!!!

Hello everyone! Nice to see more members with a significant amount to lose. I have just gotten back on fitness pal and honestly I am feeling pretty overwhelmed with the amount of weight I have to lose. Since it is Friday, I am planning to just do some exercise on the elliptical since I have a lot of things to prepare for a family wedding tomorrow.4

@jam5660 great job! You are doing wonderful and YES it definitely shows! It is hard for us to see it on our own bodies, but believe me it shows. Keep up the good work.2
-
@jam-- you are doing great! I can totally see a difference in the first set even if it's "only" a 25 lb difference.2

You are doing great!! You don't see much of a difference but believe it is there. Wonderful job you!
We are our own worst critic. Try to focus more on continuing down the healthy path and everything else will follow. Give it time.0 -
