Celebrated hubby's birthday a little too enthusiastically this past week (three day's worth of celebratory meals - lol). Still, my goal is to stay between 182 and 185, so today's 184 is not too bad. I do need to be careful, though as this can easily become a very slippery slope.
Next week we're off for another camping week in the Adirondacks. Typically, when we're camping my food choices tend to be awful, but still I tend to lose a little weight because of all the physical activity. Hopefully that will happen again this next time.
"See" you all in two weeks. My best wishes to ALL!4 -

Well i have had some tiredness struggles the last couple weeks. I have been eating out more because i am wore out after coming home from work. So hadnt washed the dishes to be able to cook. Well i started to change that over the long weekend. And washed just enough to cook me lunch and dinner.
But i was so tired tuesday morning....i simply stayed home from work and slept in. It felt good for those extra hours...and managed to get some more dishes washed and made more yummy meals.
Soooo the scale finally budged for this morning. LOL
Taking care of oneself is so important. I need to work on getting a little extra sleep in...here and there.
Have a great day everyone!

1 - consistency in daily calories, say within 100 day to day = no idea this week, what with computer issues.
2 -steady increase in duration and occurance of street walking = slipped back to not enough this week, spent a lot of time sitting at the computer doing recovery work. It's still not finished as some of my programs won't open and a couple make the computer hang ... hopefully everything will be back on track this next week.1 -

Protein goal: Again, I failed to log consistently due to traveling, but 2 of the days I was in the upper 90s, so it wasn't as bad as it looks.

Very disappointed in myself and desperately need to get back on track!! We ended up coming home from vacation 5 days early and for about 6 days I sat my lazy *kitten* on the couch and did NOTHING!! I managed to get dressed only twice in those 6 days and one of those days was Sunday when I had to go to the store and pick up some things so that I would stop eating all the junk that was in the house for meals instead of preparing something suitable.
My sister, who is having some sort of weight loss surgery soon (not sure which one), was on a "last hoorah" I guess. Where I wanted to go see and do my favorite things, she wanted to eat things from her favorite places while we were back "home" in Pittsburgh. Donut shops, ice cream parlors, fried fish sandwiches. Aside from probably the best fish sandwich I'd ever eaten, I wasn't impressed with the donuts or the ice cream.
I was back in time where I could have posted on August 2nd, but I chose not to - I thought I was tricking myself; maybe I could lose what I gained before posting on August 9th?? I mean, I was still on vacation right? Did I lose anything? No!! Why do we play games with ourselves like this?? SMH GRRRR
Monday morning, I tried to shake it off and leave the past in the past and start fresh. Hopefully, I will see improvement next week. I need to get back on track as a similar family vacation is what set me back 3 years ago. Except 3 years ago I lost a little while away but I was never able to fully get back on track with eating habits and it eventually caught up with me. I can't afford to let that happen this time. So far this week has been challenging, I just have to work very hard this weekend which always seems to be my downfall. Every. Single. Week.
Until next time; wishing everyone Peace , Love and Weight Loss !!1 -

Hi All! Anyone else submitting their weekly weigh-in data? I will wait until tomorrow to post!!
Hope you are having all a fab week!1 -
Good Morning All!!
We have reached week # 5 of the Summer Heat Challenge!!
I am happy to report that we have improved this week compared to the previous woohoo!! Well done!!
We have 11 people who lost weight; 1 maintained and 5 gained a bit. In total gross we lost 23.3 lbs this week and since the challenge started a net a mount of 103.1 lbs (equivalent to 26% of our total goal).
When we started we had 29 people that joined the challenge; unfortunately we have lost some on the way so when reporting the final numbers at the end the challenge I will remove those who hardly participated and we will have our final exact figures.
@Meme1121 congrats, great loss this week!!
Everyone have a lovely rest of the week and looking forward to seeing your next weigh-in awesome posts!

Friday Fitness ... cut the grass front and back today ... 2 hours of non stop action ... still having computer issues ... and here I was patting myself on the back yesterday that I got it fixed. Something, somewhere all of a sudden got very wrong ... was it that NPR broadcasting co video I received froma friend in an email? Or was it a movie I watched on the web subscription movie provider Feel'n from Hallmark Cards? Or from a video I watched on YouTube? Or is this 6 year old computer deciding that it wants me to buy a new one? .... Well ... no way am I gonna buy a new one. But I will curtain my exposure to the web world. Wish it where as easy to curtail my exposure to over consumption of food.0

Saturday - Success (what have you accomplished; focus on the positive of the week, NSV=non scale victories)
Breakfast today was as it 'should' be. Small whole wheat toast with microwave scrambled egg, a slice of cheddar cheese and a half cup of red grapes along with my coffee and water. Now ... will this breakfast hold me over as well as the one I had yesterday? Of course, yesterday's breakfast had a litte more than twice the calories in it than today's did ... still, I did not eat again for over 8 hours on yesterday .... hoping to go for 5 today with this lighter and leaner meal.
PS ... edited to add ... cause lighter and leaner is what I must do to get back into the swing of things. (Before I undo all that I have done thus far!)1 -
Computer crashed yet again. In the process of reinstalling and posting this as a test of how MFP app is affecting my machine. Expect to be MIA from here for a while. Hope everyone losses weight by the Wednesday check-in ... and hope I am back up and running by then. This computer issue is getting tiresome. I am losing patience.1
-
Monday - Check In (how are you doing? Had any successes or struggles this week-end?)
This is where I am today ... Lago di Garda, northern Italy.
Had to share the spectacular view with you ...if I had not loss almost 70lbs would not be able to enjoy hiking as much as I will this week.

Gorgeous photo happy girl!
Nikion., I hope computer is fixed soon!
Does our group seem smaller? Is it just something that happens over summer! I know how difficult summer is for me... lack of routine and sleep is killing me.2 -
Monday check in. Still floating around 225 but the lows are 224 and the highs 226, an improvement. A little improvement. I weighed 220 when I came in from mowing on Saturday. 111 heat index. HOT!!! More than weight loss are visible or noticeable changes. Pants are looser shirts have to be put in good will piles. The weirdest thing is shoes not fitting. Shoes, really? My feet are shrinking too!
I'm not participating in the summer heat challenge so I feel kind of outside the group. I loved being in the last one but it seemed like we as a group moved away from what we were when I started. I imagine a group as wonderful as this one has morphed around the constant for it's whole life. I think the challenges are fantastic. My Dr thinks I have about 40 more pounds to go but some of it is skin so I need to drop 20-30 more for goal and according to the charts I'll still be too heavy.
I am struggling with people. I am very uncomfortable with attention. It's difficult for me to keep answering the same questions ; yes 120 pounds gone, yes I feel terrific. No, it hasn't been easy. I may have said this before. I'm not antisocial, I just don't like people that much. . I hope you all have this problem soon.
I have learned that weight loss starts between the ears. You gotta work on the mind, the habits and the why am I eating when I'm not hungry? If I can't do that I will fail in the long run. This was a hard weekend for me and I was tempted. I failed a little but caught myself. Every day it's a challenge. It must be getting easier but it sure doesn't feel like it.3 -
@pneschich yes your feet will lose weight as well ... it happened to me too; shoes that before we're tight and I stopped wearing them now fit perfectly ..
Amazing weight loss btw! My goal is to lose 120lbs ... so far I have loss almost 70lbs; 50 more to go ... hope to do so by April (fingers crossed!)2 -
@newjax2017 yes it has been a bit quiet in here lately. I havent been too talkative myself.
Summers are very busy here. I pick up as many extra hours at the farm as i can before the chickens ship off next month.
I woke up with sinus issues yesterday. By this morning it was a full blown cold. Urgh!
The heat doesnt make me want to exercise too much right now. But i am trying some new things inside the house at times too. Jumping jacks. Planks. Modified pushups. Air squats. Etc.
Weightloss has slowed...but i am enjoying the results. So i am pleased. This will be permanent.
This week i want to do a new exercise. Like bicycling or maybe rollerblading.
For now i am hoping work this afternoon goes by quickly....i want to go home and rest and rid myself of this cold.
Take care everyone!0 -
Hi everyone! I haven't been posting to the community, but I'm following everyone else's posts. I've lost 10lbs in the last few weeks since my last post, so that is awesome! But I did have to have a lil conversation with my scale this morning after it was obviously misreporting my weight. Somehow, I gained a pound since yesterday, despite doing everything by the book. I expect that scale to cooperate! I'll let you know if I gained its compliance tomorrow. :-) Wishing everyone well!!3

Hi all!
Just wanted to let you know that I will be posting the weekly challenge results on Saturday instead of Friday.
Hope everyone participating can share their weigh-in info by then.
Have an awesome week!4 -

Ok scale wrong way....but I'm ok because I went to the DR yesterday for a rash on my face that wouldn't go away, apparently I have an infection that my body has been fighting, that is why I have been so tired and blah and so hungry!!! I'm on antibiotics for the next 7 days, I expect to be down in weight by next week as the side effects of the antibiotics will definitely help, I already feel nauseated. I hope with my body being able to rest I will be able to focus on my fitness goals: track better, drink my water, and have the energy to get up and move towards my 10k steps.
Also school starts back next week so my much need routine will be back and will definitely help me stay on track better!!! Sorry kiddos but I can't wait!!!2 -

I was able to make some improvements this past week. I'm still not as close as I'd like to be.
I accomplished some NSV's that were huge for me. I ran 5 miles Monday. I haven't been able to to that in years! I'm the slowest runner in the world. But, I'm thrilled with that. I picked up my strength training a bit. And also got some yoga in the mix.
I drank as much water as I could. It's challenging to stay hydrated at work so I have to drown myself on my days off.
The scale showed a .2 loss, I'm hoping it will show a better loss next week. Either way, I made improvements. It will eventually catch up.2 -

Happy Wednesday. I had my 6 month follow up. I'm a very good healer and a pretty model patient. I eat right, I drink over 80 oz of "water" daily, I exercise regularly, I go to support group and as a supreme super bonus I have a supportive spouse. The last one is a gift from God. Seriously. I couldn't imagine doing this without her believing when I doubted. I tell her and she doesn't really understand. I love her more every day. May you all be so blessed!
