My 10 day goal is to get to 351lbs, exercise 7/10 days and log everything.[my bold]
7/22: 354.4
7/23: 354.2 Went over calories, but still ate pretty well. I didn't drink enough water for the day.
7/24: 353.0 I exercised first thing in the morning, stayed under macros and went to bed early. Did not drink as much water as I could have.
7/25: 353.0 Meh, stayed under macros tho.
7/26: 352.8 I exercised, drank 88 oz of water and spent several hours outside in the heat. I indulged in homemade chili cheese fries, but did not go back for seconds. I stayed under calories, but I need to watch the sodium intake.
7/27: 354.8 Stayed up really late with friends eating junk.
7/28: 354.0 Need to drink more water today.

I don't know if this will help you but it's helping me. See where I bolded in your text. I find having big goals at the beginning sets me up for failure to meet them. I have so many pounds to lose that I'm not setting goals in terms of how many pounds each week. Instead my goals are more behavioral, for example, not having Chinese take-out for ten days or staying under calories for a whole 10-day period. I can and have done these. This challenge's goal was to start exercising, which I have done ... once. I'm hoping to get in a second. A third would be gravy. Small goals to set myself up for success!6 -

End R7: 215
End R8: 213.6
End R9: 213.8
End R10: 209.4
Goal R11: lose 1 lb.
7/22: 209.4 -- under calories and worked out yesterday. A friend is coming in from out of town this weekend.
7/23: 210 -- over calories yesterday but worked out. Arms are sore.
7/24: 213.8 -- posting this for accountability but it's probably inaccurate since I weighed after having coffee and a bite with my friend this morning and seeing her off. Over calories yesterday, but I walked quite a bit more than usual. Even though we hit two restaurants yesterday I ate and drank less than I would have a few months ago, so I'm calling it an NSV.
7/25: 213.2 -- blergggghhhh. Under calories, worked out yesterday.
7/26: 213.2 --under calories, worked out yesterday. So frustrating.
7/27: 210.8 -- over calories, worked out yesterday. Frustrated and unmotivated. Dinner out tonight, too.
7/28: 210.8 -- I've spent the majority of this week annoyed at myself for overeating. However, I have made different choices than I would have months ago; I've continued to work out, and even though I overate at dinner yesterday, I didn't drink. So in the spirit of trying to be kind to myself, I say: Baby steps. Onward and downward.

Started R6 @ 177.1
First Goal: 170 ✔️
Next Goal: 159 ... At a slow rate
End of R9: 170.2
End of R10 165.1
7/22 - 164.9 Lots of coffee today and 13,000 steps!!!
7/23 - 164. 20,000 steps on a ocean boardwalk and a hotdog for lunch!!
7/24 - 164.6 Will continue to hit over my step goal and prep some jar salads and protien for the week.
7/25 - 164.4 12,900 steps. Not really pushing myself but I do have a lot of energy. Like to do 15,000 steps but it's so hot!
7/26 - 163.8 Over 16,000 steps including an evening walk. Hit just under my cals and even had an ice cream treat.... Nestle Real Cream Maple Bars 110 calories. OMG such a nice evening treat. There is chocolate too!!
7/27 - 162.8 Hit a mini goal here... Goal to lose 60lbs before my birthday which is tomorrow. Yay me. My slow progress to 159 isn't looking so slow. Mine and my Mom's birthday is this weekend a few parties and next week is a big camping music festival that we attend so I'll be expecting a gain here. Now my next mini goal is to pull out of these 2 weeks and not fall completely off the wagon. This will be my biggest challenge!!! Please wish my luck.
7/28 - 163.4 Not bad, got step goal in too. Dinner out tonight and a cocktail party tomorrow, will need to figure out how to get my steps in. Will celebrate with a small or shared dessert tonight!! Then set myself up to get back on track. I'm at a point where I want to start slowing down my loss rate, but I've 2 weeks of parties, festivals, camping and family events and a few days of no scale (Eeeek!!). So i'll try and maintain for this time and then cut for a week and hope for a sodium/water loss!! Still needing luck sent my way!!

Round 10--SW 230.3 EW 230.3 Weight loss/gain: 0
07/22--229.9 Goal for the next 10 days is to stay out of the 230's. Went on a hike today, we'll see what the scale says tomorrow.
07/23--228.8 Hopefully this will stick.
07/24--229.4 Totally surprised. Had a lot of salt yesterday and went over my calories by about 1000. Still under 230. It may catch up with me tomorrow, but happy with the small increase today.
07/25--228.8 Drank a lot of water yesterday to help counter with the excess salt I had the day before...I guess it helped. I'm making sure to drink a lot of water today as well.
07/26--227.9 I'm keeping up with the water drinking. Also, the fact that I haven't done any weightlifting this week also accounts for some of the larger than normal weight loss.
07/27--227.2
07/28--227.9 I was expecting this as I had big whoosh over the last couple of days. Still under 230 for this rounds I am happy, I think I can keep at it this weekend. I will be back to my weightlifting today, so we'll see how my body reacts to that tomorrow.

I'll join in. This is my first round. I'm a 47 yo female, 5'6.
Started at 193 pounds in July 2016
Lost to 137 pounds by April 2017.
I'd like to lose some of the almost 10 pounds I have gained back since April (too many vacation meals and drinks!)
Goal weight: 135
Day / Weight / Comments
7/22/ 146.4 / O.k., I gained more than I thought!
7/23 / 145.0 / This time I weighed first thing in the morning. Stuck to under 1200 calories yesterday.
7/24 / 142.6 / Wow! Looks like it must have been water weight from all the salty food and drink over the last 2-3 weeks. I will keep drinking water and stay under 1200 calories. Less than 7 pounds to go.
7/25 / 142.7 / Under 1200 calories yesterday. I want to add exercise, but afraid I will overeat due to increased hunger.
7/26 / 141.6 / Did I really have 5 pounds of water weight?? Now how long to lose the last 5 or so pounds?
7/27 / 142.4 / 30 min on elliptical/ ate back about 300 calories
7/28 / 144.2 / Went to L.A. for the day with a friend and our daughter. Lunch at American Girl Cafe + Dinner at Cheesecake Factory + feeling like a glass of wine with dinner = going over by at least 1050 calories, likely more even by ordering chicken sandwich and off of the Skinnylicious menu. I sometimes miss eating whatever I want without worrying about it. I even counted the walking as exercise. Oh well, it was a really fun day!

@HeidiCooksSupper, thanks for the encouragement.
I think what you said is the key that what we are doing is a lifestyle change. You said that even though you overate your choices were different than they would have been months ago. Same here. I really overate yesterday, but my choices had fewer calories than they would have before I started MFP and logging over a year ago. Then I would have ordered a 1800 calorie mean plus a 900 calorie dessert at dinner at cheesecake factory alone instead of a 580 meal plus a 150 cal glass of wine.6 -

7/23 - one more day of no scale! I am a bit nervous about stepping on it tomorrow
7/24 - 132 surprised the holy heck out of me. Just a little bit longer with no working out. Hopefully after Thursday
7/25 - 131.4 Not sure how this is happening without exercise. But I am being very cautious about what and HOW MUCH I eat. I'm setting my sites on exercise class Friday @ 8:30

7/22 / 182. Weekends are hard.
7/23. 181.4. I was not expecting that but I'll take it. Not the best or worst day food-wise but my kids kept me on my feet at least. . Meal planning and grocery shopping today.
7/24. 180.4 !!!!!!!!!!
7/25 182.6. What? lol. I stayed within calories and worked out yesterday, so I guess I'm just holding on to some water. Some extra carbs too. Drinking lots of water today. Planning to lift weights tonight so I'll probably be holding on to more water tomorrow.
7/26 181.0. Trying to have a lower calorie day today and lots of water.
7/27 180.6... I had a good workout last night with sore muscles today, so I am happy with this. Can't wait to see the # drop under 180 though!
7/28 180.4. I had a sleep-refusing child last night, super tired! Taking it easy on the exercise today.

23/07/2017: 166.6. Another -0.2. Family day today, so I got my strength and flex in early. Goals: balanced macro/micros, hydrate, 10,000+ steps, eat moderately this afternoon at my daughter's house. It's not easy to refuse when my grandson has baked for my visit, so I keep calories in reserve.
24/07/2017: 165. Wow! Didn't expect that whoosh! Had some baked goods and chocolate, but stayed under calories and stayed hydrated.
Today's Goals: pre-log/follow through to balance macros/micros; hydrate; 10,000+ steps, 20 strength, 20 flex.
25/07/2017: 165.6. Normal fluctuation. Today is my wedding anniversary, so I'm expecting a little more 'fluctuation' tomorrow morning!
26/07/2017: 166.5. And there it is! Lol! I enjoyed a marvellous day. Cause and effect! High sodium from restaurant meal, so holding water.
Today's Goals: pre-log/follow through to balance macros/micros; hydrate; 20 strength, 20 flex ✅; 10,000+ steps. ✅
27/07/2017: 165.6. Now to stay on track. Pre-logging food (including snacks) helps plan meals. I tweak amounts when I weigh the cooked food.
Today's Goals: pre-log/follow through to balance macros/micros; hydrate; 20 strength ✅; 20 flex ✅; 10,000+ steps ✅
28/07/2017: 165.8. Almost steady! Stiff muscles from all the leg work I have been doing, and my knee was playing up again yesterday, so I eased off a bit today on the lower body work. I think it was the Dynamic Yoga that did it. I will do a gentle Tai Chi session today.
Today's Goals: pre-log/follow through; balance macros/micros; hydrate; 20 strength ✅; 20 flex; 10,000+ steps
29/07/2017: 164.4. WOW! Another mini Whoosh! Sticking to the plan pays off. Let's hope I can sustain this until Monday.

7/27 235.2 VBS all this week so the only exercise I got was chasing little kids in the nursery. They serve a small meal each night and of course there was gluten in most of it and I have felt my stomach grumbling in protest. Once I detox from the gluten my scales should start to go down.

7/25: 249.6 (maybe I should weigh myself before I do strength training?)
7/26: 250 (I don't understand. I ate very low in cals...weighed myself before working out...even ate low in carbs and sodium...so why is there a gain? I am sore from leg day from the day before so maybe its because my muscles are tense?...idk that's just weird tho. There better be a big whoosh coming.)
7/27: 249.4 (not a big whoosh but I'll take it)
7/28: 249.4
7/29: 247.6 (huh? So you telling me I go 3 days of eating very clean, low carb, low fat low sodium low sugar and no change and then I decide to eat high carb high fat high sodium high sugar and I lose...like wtf? I don't even know if I stayed within my deficit but obviously I guess I did. I guess that was the whoosh I was looking for.)

7/22 187: Walked quite a bit yesterday. I actually did more than my daily steps. I did decrease my calories a little throughout the day because I had a planned evening out with 5 of my friends and former colleagues at Applebees. I wanted to make sure that I could enjoy my dinner without worrying too much about my calorie consumption. I thought about canceling even though it was in the making for about a month due to family circumstances, but my husband insisted that I go. I am glad I did. I needed that mental break. I did enjoy it, and I stuck to my diet with steak, steamed broccoli, and water. Yes, it's red meat, and no, I don't eat it often. I stick to white, but red meat is good for my HDL, and I have to boost that up. I didn't eat any breads, even though broccoli does have carbs in it, and I stuck to water. I even skipped dessert and appetizers.
7/23 186.2 I denied myself pizza and instead made a quesadilla. Yes, it was still carbs AND bread, but since it's a tortilla, it was less. I even made a low carb dessert, and it was awesome! First time in a month and a half that I allowed myself something sweet, but I did it the right way.
7/24 186 ✔ I was really hungry yesterday, and I felt that way pretty much the entire day. It was so hard not to go and scrounge around in the fridge for more and more food or even to have a late night snack. I hope this weight holds. It was my goal for this challenge, and I'm now back to my premarital weight.
7/25 185.8 I started the 7-day walking plan yesterday, and I increased my steps by 500 from the goal Samsung Health had set for me. My legs are killing me today! I surpassed by goal by 1,500 steps. I'm usually out biking, but I wanted to shake it up. My body was getting adjusted to it, and when that happens, it's hard to keep losing (from what I read). So, here I am...trying something new for the week.
7/26 185.4 I put in my full 40 minutes for my walking plan yesterday, drank 48 oz. of water, and put in an extra 2500 steps to boot. I also tried out a quick and easy new recipe called "nice" cream on my kids to see if they enjoyed the ice cream that was on so good for your body instead of your booty. It was a hit!
7/27 184.6 This is not a number I expected to see this morning. It was a date night with my hubby, but I stuck to my diet at the restaurant. I completed my 3rd day of the walking plan, and I went over my steps by 2000+.
7/28 184.4 Not much of a loss, but I've made great progress this week. I'll definitely take it! I did my 4th day of my walking plan and put in 10,000 steps. Stayed under my calorie intake for the day too.
7/29 184.8 I'm up a little. I'm not surprised either because I practically slept through the entire night, and I usually don't eat past 6, but it was around 8 when I was able to have dinner. Granted, I ate a salad, but it was late. I completed my day 5 walk, and I had over 13g steps in. It was a busy, busy day preparing my kids to go back to school Monday.
