I'll be using my usual Saturday morning weight this week... I've gotta leave for work around 4:30am tomorrow and my weight is ALWAYS up when I have to get up that early. Saturday I can sleep in and weigh in closer to 8am, I know I'll be much happier using that weight. Although - I'm not really expecting a loss this week - it wasn't a good one for me.

Maybe you will be pleasantly surprised. :flowerforyou: Be strong tomorrow and maybe Saturday will be a good weigh in!
  • Anyone want to be my friend? I feel lonely having no friends on here! Haha...
  • Oh wow... tomorrow is weigh in day. I wish we could have a running list of our names ( as a team) and weights so we can watch all of the pounds shed off.

Anywho, I did the ddr again tonight. Last night, it took 40 min to take off 375 calories... tonight 25 minutes to take off 250    I was so excited. I'm sore, but excited LOL. I measured this morning and my neck, bust, and waist have all gone down 1/2 inch since last week! I'm all a twitter.

The bad... I feel guilty about eating... ok, that sounds bad, but I do. I keep thinking, "If I eat this, I'll have to work it off." However, I'm having the biggest craving for fruit, so I'll be eating a lot of it tomorrow. .. after weigh in LOL

Good job with the workouts! Stick with it, pretty soon you'll be looking for that semi-soreness as a sign that you worked hard enough. I wish I was craving fruit!! My son made dinner tonight and made turkey burgers. I ate mine, now I want another one!!! It was so good!! Unfortunately my calories wont allow me to eat a whole nuther burger, or even 1/2 of one..:grumble: especially since today was my day off from the gym. Thing is... Im not really even hungry anymore... just finding it hard cuz the first one was sooo good!! Damnit! LOL Why do I torture myself this way!!

And I saw your goal met.. congratulations!!!!!!!

    Happy Tuesday!
Chantybear, how'd you do on your test?
andersonchristineg - get your butt in gear girl - or I'll come put it in gear for you!! (was that tough enough love?)
cmriverside - uggghhhh, food poisoning?::sick: I had that several years ago and it is soooo miserable. I feel bad for you:cry: Hope you're on the mend and all better soon!

Hey, for you emotional eaters... thought I'd share my tip with you. Keep a small spiral notebook on the kitchen counter close to the pantry or fridge, every time you go to the kitchen for food, write down the time and the REASON for wanting to eat. We track our calories on MFP, but not necessarily what's behind our cravings... the notebook may end up being as eye-opening as the calorie counter was when you started here!:noway: Writing it down usually makes me decide NOT to eat when I shouldn't be eating. It feels good to change my mind, and my reason for wanting to eat is sometimes embarrassing and sometimes a revelation. We can learn all sorts of good stuff in this process!

Have a great Wednesday all! Eat less, move more, be strong! No matter what we end up calling ourselves, we ARE T.H.E. Can Do Team!!

That notebook idea is AMAZING!!! So many times I go to the fridge to eat and I'm not hungry and it's always crap I'm reaching for. Thank you for the AWESOME idea Lulu!!

I'm glad you like the idea manderson! I hope it works out for you:bigsmile:

    Thanks!

I actually prefer turkey burgers to regular burgers now. They are less greasy. I put lots of lettuce, tomato, mustard, ketchup, Pickle, Onion, a slice of non-fat american cheese on it and I use whole wheat buns. Its pretty much the healthiest burger available without going to a veggie or bean patty.. We buy the seasoned premade burger pattys from Jenio. The plain ones are just a little too plain IMO.

Anyway.. I did have room for a fudgescicle so I went for that....good thing too cuz the kids already have devoured the whole bag I bought on MONDAY! Little farts... I cant believe they went through a bag of 24 fudgsicles in 3 days!! I had a total of 2 (including the 1 I had tonight)!!! Guess I'll have to hide them better next time :ohwell:

Yeah, wait until your little farts are big s&*ts. They'll eat the whole darn box in about 24 hours.

The trick is not to overcook them or they dry out. Just keep an eye on them cuz they cook quickly. I usually either make them on the BBQ outside or on the foreman indoors. Either way, they are turkey and leaner, so just dont overcook them or they will be too dry. Nothing good about dry burgers.
  • I would like to weigh-in with you Team February-er's if that's okay with everyone.

Good, thanks for the tip... tomorrow is grocery day, so i'll try them this weekend:bigsmile: I tried the turkey bacon and couldn't really like it - i tried:ohwell: I found Oscar Mayer ready-to-eat bacon thin cut, and like 4 pieces for 70 calories - I was in heaven (a little pricey though), so if you know any tricks for making turkey bacon taste better, I'd love to hear them

    chantybear we  you.

You can ask for friends, too by ckicking on their name on the post (it is blue) which will take you to their profile, then click "add as friend" and send a message to them. They have the option to say no, but no one ever does......

Oh wow... tomorrow is weigh in day. I wish we could have a running list of our names ( as a team) and weights so we can watch all of the pounds shed off.

    Kelleighanne,

I don't know if everyone wants to give their weights. I have a list of their names. If you want to try to tackle that task, go ahead. I have the "amounts to lose," that they put on their profiles, but you will need to get them to individually give you weights and then track them. th_teehee.gif

I did a thread similar to this last year when I had to lose my 47 lbs. (which I did). I just posted my own weight loss weekly, and some other folks joined me. some of the other teams post weekly. Some of them are loosely organized.
    _____________________________________________________________
Here is my "Running Totals" post AS AN EXAMPLE (from last year)
    Started MFP Aug 22, 2007 @ 195 lbs (5’9”)
Goal loss 40 lbs by May 08- (I lost 7 lbs before I started tracking: so 47 lbs total loss is my goal)
    _____________________________________________________________

    Start week 0/ Aug 22 __195 lbs
    Week 4 / Sept 22 _____186.5 = 8.5 lbs loss (in first four weeks)
    Week 5 / Sept 29 _____183.5 = 3 lbs loss______11.5 total loss
    Week 6 / Oct 7 _______181.0 = 2.5 lbs loss_____14.0 total loss
    Week 7 / Oct 14 ______178.5 = 2.5 lbs loss_____16.5 total loss
    Week 8 / Oct 21 ______182.0 = 3.5 lbs gain_____13 total loss
    Week 9 / Oct 27 ______178.6 = 3.4 lbs loss_____16.4 total loss
    Week 10 / Nov 4______177.25 = 1.35 lbs loss___17.75 total loss
    Week 11 / Nov 11_____175.0 = 2.25 lbs loss____20.0 total loss
    Week 12 / Nov 18_____174.5 = 0.50 lbs loss____20.5 total loss
    Week 13 / Dec 2______173.25 = 1.25 lbs loss___21.75 total loss - And excruciatingly SLOWLY......
    Week 14 / Dec 9______170.0 = 3.25 lbs loss___25 ---- total loss – Thank you Baby Jesus!
    ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Kelleighanne, you get my drift.....if people want to post their losses weekly, this is an easy way for each person to keep track of their own losses, but share them if they want to. I mean - I had an Excel Spreadsheet  Color Coded. With formulas. I obsess about stuff.....

I needed the accountablility. And I enjoyed the comraderie, encouragement and competition.
Just an idea, for those interested in posting weekly.

GRRRRRRRRRRRR i just had this nice long post typed out and lost it!! :grumble: :grumble: Sometimes I really hate this little touchpad on my laptop!!

Lulu... there is a breakfast sammie recipe in my blog under the January archives that you can use turkey bacon or turkey sausage for. My hubby has even modified it to make breakfast burritos using 100 cal tortillas instead of the whole wheat english muffin.

Im not much of a bacon eater, so the turkey bacon actually tastes better to me. Its my moms fault, she never cooked anything pork when I was growing up. I didnt actually eat real bacon or pork chops until I moved out of the house and got married..lol The turkey sausage tho, I buy in a big box at Walmart for around $5. Its the purnell brand and theres about 30 patties in the box. Its WAY cheaper than the jimmy dean variety, less calories and you get way more. They are precooked so all ya gotta do is nuke them for about 30-45 sec and they are done. If you dont like the bacon, you might try those instead. Again, dont overcook them or they get dry and hard enough to use as a hockey puck... yuck!
