The August Move-It 360 minutes a week challenge

August is the dog days of summer. Swimsuits, shorts and tank tops, ooooo my. In 30 days, you can flash your hot, new body that's firm and toned up. Let's lift that booty, tone those arms and whittle the tummy.

1) WE ARE NOT going to be mushy :noway:
2) Our thighs WILL NOT rub together when we walk :grumble:
3) WE WILL make our goals this week :drinker:
4) Things WILL NOT jiggle unless we are dancing and we want them to :smokin:

The goals are:

1) 360 minutes of moving...it doesn't matter what kind you do or how you break it up...I don't care what kind of exercise you do as long as your moving this week. Point is to keep moving and doing something

Shake and Jiggle it! Wiggle or Bump it! Thump and Stomp it! Womp it!! Kick it!! Flick it!!!

2) Burn 2500 to 3500 calories with a heart rate monitor

OK, who's in for Week #1, if at first you don't succeed, you keep trying...just keep coming back and reporting progress or non-progess...it doesn't matter...it keeps us accountable and that's how we commit to healthy lifestyles

    Monday = Rest

    I hate working 11 hour days on Monday.. always means a rest day! Oh well, running tomorrow!
  • Monday :- 18 mins on recumbent bike and 40 minute walk = 58 mins.

    Let's see how the rest of the week goes :-D

    Wed: 50 min of total workout including 45 min of walk & run on treadmill & 5 min of weight training

    a little late, but i am back :) so glad to see some newbies and as always the tried and true :)

    i forgot to post on sunday for last week...i ended with 436 minutes/2126 calories

    monday: 2.6 mile walk 41/164
    tuesday: 2.75 mile run 28/248
    wednesday: 3.25 mile run 34/294

    total so far: 103 minutes/706 calories
    to go: 257 minutes/1794 calories

    Thursday = 90 minutes = 979 calories (seven mile tempo run, done in 1:15, then 15 minutes of stretching and cool down walk.)
