    You've spoken often about keeping carbs under control but what about calories? Carb limitation only really works for weight loss if you are also at a calorie deficit. Carb cutting does not result in weight loss for everyone. Calories do work because, well, science. Energy in/energy out ergo calories in/calories out.

    Actually, Dr. Fung, a kidney specialist has disproved calories in/calories out if you are very low carb. He says it is a hormonal problem. (see The Obesity Code by Dr. Jason Fung)
