I haven't been to the office in months, upon my return I had this convo:
Colleague: "Hey you've had a growth spurt"
Me: "So I'm fat?"
Colleague: "Hardly.... all I see is muscle Mr Buff"
Me: "Ah I see. Seems I owe you a coffee let's go"

I got to change my MFP profile picture today as the one I had was my first "mini" goal weight which I've now surpassed. I put on the dress I bought when I lost weight last time (and quickly became too big for) & it's actually getting a bit loose in places with the buckles not tightening any further.
I put it next to a photo where I look awful at about the weight I was when I began this journey late July.(That same dress is now like wearing a duvet - brilliant for dog walks haha!) Not a flattering photo at all but a reminder to where I don't want to be again. I've only lost 23lb so far with an awful lot to go, but putting these side by side...I did get a surprise I must admit.
Feel a bit "exposed" but this community has been SO inspirational for me & I hope that by sharing my progress so far, maybe someone else just beginning their journey can take comfort in the fact that changes can happen in just a couple of months. *Blushing madly at the thought of pushing Post Reply*

I was doing "pushups" on Monday and noticed these indentations at the top of my shoulders - like those that fit people have!25

Love this! Just hope you realise that it makes YOU a fit person.Well done & I hope you're super proud of yourself...would have taken a lot of hard work to gain those indentations!13 -
Nurse at my dr's office told me I had a nice stomach. Stomach! The part that after four babies still vexes me. And she continually made comments about how fit I was (that's why my bp is 90/60, that I clearly must know how much I weigh, etc). Felt good after feeling bloated and blah for a few weeks.26

I had to go out and replace my work slacks this weekend. Last week I wore 44 inch waist slacks and they felt like circus tents. This week I'm wearing 40 inch waist slacks. They're a little tight, but I can get past that soon enough (it's good to have the reminder that I still have goals with weight loss).
I also had to order a new wedding band. My original is a tungsten carbide ring, size 10 3/4 (US). That means it can't get resized. It keeps slipping off my finger whenever my hand gets wet, such as when I wash my hands. I got my new measurement, now I'm a size 10. New tungsten ring is on its way, and should be here before my 10th anniversary on 10/6!27 -
A co-worker gave me a "fitness bar" (aka 100-calorie sugar treat) ... which I graciously accepted and told him, "Thank you. I'll save it for dessert after lunch." I gave it to someone else later that day. A few days ago, I would have ripped it open and eaten it right then. Very proud of myself for "re-gifting" it!29

I guess I've had a few building up, but I usually just lurk forums. Here goes!
- I've gone down four belt notches in the last seven weeks.
- I was able to run for 25 minutes straight at a 9:13/mile pace this last weekend. Usually I run for 10 minutes, walk for 1.
- I've learned proper technique for a number of weightifting exercises in the last three weeks.
- I've successfully started working in treat days into my diet each week so I can still enjoy my life, and I don't binge when I do have treats.
- I felt bad the other day, so I scrounged around for some before and after photos, which helped me confirm my progress visually.
- Clothes are starting to become a problem. Most notably, bras are now a pain in the *kitten* and #1 on my to buy list once I reach goal weight.
- Last night, I started going to the UrbanKick class at my gym again. I first went about two years ago the first time I lost weight. I saw a few familiar faces; not only were they excited to see me again, but they mentioned I looked great and make them work harder in class.

Purchased a stand up desk unit. Second day today and it is rockin my world. Cannot believe I would choose to stand at the office for 8 hours (well prolly 7 because I sit down during phone calls but whatev). Also, while standing at my desk yesterday a co-worker walked past my office and commented "your legs are so muscle-y". Ummmm thank you.19

Made an avocado chocolate cake yesterday. It was super low cal and all (around 700 calories) for such a big cake too and had planned to treat myself and eat all of it (all within my allowance etc) for lunch and dinner but after eating half of it, I was full and put the cake back in the fridge. Usually, I would just ignore that I am full and gorge myself on cakes and feel so bad afterwards or just go and eat it later. It is still in the fridge and I will take it with me when I go visit my friend this evening. Now I just need to see if I can do the same with ice cream that's my kryptonite.
Was it good?2 -
Bought non plus size jeans!!!! I was a 24w (and it was getting tight). Bought 18 regular at old navy yesterday. Going in the right direction!!!!39

Just had a great workout part of which is pull ups and I topped my best from just this past Monday. I did 5 sets of 14, 10,11,12, and 8.
Also, my belt went down another loophole today. All on it's own I didn't have to encourage it at all. YAY ME!!!20 -

I have one of these at the place I work 3 days a week. Everyone laughed. And then the boss got one as well who is laughing now? I love standing. Lets me move around and walk and dance while I work, instead of just bouncing around in a chair.10 -
A favorite customer comes in every month and always brings us a treat. Today it was cherry pastries. They looked delicious! I even scanned one into my diary. 70 calories for a one bite pastry. They all went home with my boss's son. I deleted it from my diary. But they did sit on the counter all day. Very proud I didn't consume them cause I could have eaten that whole container lol.33
