well I got news for you lady...
Seriously? A health care worker actually said that to a patient? Unbelievable!!!
Good for you for your reaction!
I completely agree. It's awesome that you're making this progress. They should be chearing you on just like us.3 -
In May of next year my nephew is getting married in NC. While I don't plan on rocking a bikini on the beach I would like to comfortably fit into a swim suit to enjoy the pool and also be more comfortable to do a lot of sight seeing the week we are there. Also June of next year my baby sister is getting married and I am the matron of honor and well....I don't plan to be at goal by then, but under 300 would be pleasant. I am 25lbs down from where I started so I feel like I can make something happen by then
Keep it up. You may not be at your final goal but you'll be on your way.2 -
Getting to the weight I was when I met my husband, and pre kids, and then way more after that!!6

Can't find my last post, but I hit 100 lbs lost AND I ran a 10K! Some new goals to focus on:
- no alcohol in October
- run another 10K in November (and beat my time)
- hike a new mountain before fall ends
- start personal training this week! ah!
- CSA starts in October! Try to limit other food shopping.
- Next mini goal is 215. My reward is going apple picking.

Hit under 200 not having been that weight for over 4 years, lost 8 lbs since then (month ago).
230lbs starting7 -
My mini goals are to be under 200 and to loose 10% of my weight. I started at 215 and am down 7 so far. I'm starting to believe that this will work. I haven't come up with a reward yet.4

To break through the 60 kg barrier (~132 lbs).
I have around 1.5 kg (3-4 lbs) to go. I can't even remember any time when I was that low; probably some early teenage years at around 14 or so (ie an eternity ago). It will take a while since I'm getting closer to goal weight and my deficit is pretty small by now but it's going to be mind-boggling to have a '5' in front of my weight.
And once I hit that, I'll have another important mini-goal coming up right after: getting below 59 kg (130 lbs)... which is half of my starting weight. Having lost 50% of my body weight (or looking at it from a different POV: having been twice the weight I will be then) is another big deal for me.
By now I don't care anymore how long it'll take but I know I'll get there eventually.
I've reached the first goal and sort of reached the second.
I've been below 59kg (130lbs) the last 3 days too but the way my "weight cycle" normally goes, I expect it to go above 59kg again and stay there for a while until it drops below permanently. That's why it's sort of.
Anyway, after hitting 59kg (and half my body weight lost), the next mini goal is right after: 58kg (128lbs). That's 60kg (132lbs) lost and my original, randomly set weight goal.
I've revised my weight goal recently as I got closer, so I have two more kilogram to lose after that to reach my new goal of 56kg (123.5lbs) but I'm getting close. And yes, seeing a '5' in front on the scale is really surreal. But awesome.8 -
To lose 5 lbs before conference and vacation next month.4

Florence Marathon Nov 26th. I'm going to smash you.7

I've set up mini goals for every ten pounds I lose. I get to treat myself once I do by buying myself a few things I want (not food but hobby related items!) I'm less than a pound away from entering the 170s. My ultimate goal is to get to a weight I feel good in and then get an awesome new wardrobe and get to shop for cute dresses. I haven't worn a dress in years so I'd like to be able to wear one and feel good about it!6

My current mini goal is to get under 90 and stay there. I've been hopping around the border, sometimes under, sometimes over for two weeks now and I'd like to never see that number on my scale again!3
