I'm really busy at the moment but I thought I'd check in to see how everyone is doing.
Really good news from Happygirl!
I'll try to post weight tomorrow.
Cheers!

I could really use some support on my weight loss journey. Some days (like today) the motivation to go to the gym is not there. But I am going to make myself go anyway. This is day 8 restarting MFP. I have been below or at my calorie goals everyday and have lost 6.4 pounds so far. I am sure most of it is fluid but I know the fat will start shedding. Please add me as a friend and I will give encouragement to you.

@tishbiv, you're IN! Nothing to add, nothing to join - just start reading and posting and tie one of us. Welcome!
@happygirlxxx - best news ever! So very glad!
@Nikion901 - go gettem, Girl! Those goals won't meet themselves, you know. Lol. Looking fwd to seeing the results tomorrow.
@RobinB0812 - yeah, meal prep... that's been a real challenge for me all along. I can't cook, don't like to cook, hate thinking about food and detest grocery shopping. So thinking and preparing in advance? So not happening for me. Still, I managed you lose the weight in my own somewhat haphazard way by mostly eating fairly repetitively (if it worked yesterday, it can work again today). You do have a viable "excuse" not to prep right now - life is not "normal" for sure. Don't have much advice, just sending well wishes your way.2 -
Plodding along. Worked hard to get the kitchen cleaned as the other people left a HUGE mess and my dishwasher is broken. Dealing with a nasty cold which triggered my asthma. Not looking forward to night shift!!1
-
@karenleona sorry you are having to deal with so much. It sounds so much like me being a mother to 2 little ones: cleaning up other peoples messes, never having what you need to make the job easier, can't stop when we are sick, and having to pull an all nighter, lol. Hoping you have an easy shift, and tomorrow is better.
Tuesday goals: just keep going and get it right as often as possible.

I actually saw 207 this week! I think the goal of LESS is working, I'm not beating myself up for every little thing and in the long run making a lot more healthy decisions. Healthy mind = healthy body???

So excited to see the scales going down again! Still not where I should be with the water or exercise, it's a work in progress just like everything else with this lifestyle change.
@birgitkwood I have been using your hints and so far they have been working out great for me! It's amazing how a person's mind works, for me it seems to be the difference between a general "no snacking at night" and setting the actual time of no eating after 7PM! I have no idea why, but if I get a desire to snack I look at the clock and say to myself, "nope, it's after 7." Plus, I don't want to break my chain and have to start over, which brings me to the tracking. The "No LNS" tracking is really helping - I'm only up to 4 evenings but that's a record for me and it's been steady since your post about it and I started tracking on my calendar. I have it ahead on my calendar and every night at 7PM it pops up like an appointment reminder. The next day all I have to do is add the number of days, i.e. today I added a 4 to yesterday!!! Sometimes the simplest things help make this journey so much easier. Thanks for sharing those ideas!5 -
I lost 67 lbs with MFP about a year and a half ago. I didn't reach my goal and I've gained 43 lbs back. Ive had zero motivation but I'm trying to get back to it. Ive been a little depressed and disappointed in myself, but I want to go forward. I'm logging and I'm trying to decrease my carbs a little. I love carbs but Ive found that my cravings decrease somewhat when I eat less of them. Anyway, looking forward to starting again and being a part of this thread.6

Yesterday's goals update ... One out of Three ... Got off the computer as promised to myself and didn't go back on until late afternoon. Made chicken soup instead of chili. Cause I forgot I had a dentist appointment that threw me off to get at the fridge ... and it was late afternoon by the time I got back and didn't 'feel like it' any longer. So I will carry over Tuesday goals to become Wednesday Wishes.
PS ... don't want to lengthen the day's weight reporting with lots of posting so will save 'talking' till Thursday Truth.3 -

I do fairly well with my eating on days I work. It's at home when I get in trouble. I always seem to find my kitchen. Before I know it my head is peeking in the pantry and fridge before I can stop myself. Luckily, I have great kids. (or they saw an opportunity and ran with it lol) I had the day off yesterday so they decided to keep me busy. We played RockBand on the Xbox all afternoon! Believe it or not, I get a good workout with it. I was able to take it easy on my back AND get my 10,000 steps for the day.
I have improved on my water intake this week. I'm still not where I want to be, but I am doing better.
My back is improving and I was able to get in much more activity this week. Hoping to up my time for next week.

I have to say that the foodplan, I got from my dietician (which is completely based on the things that I normally eat/like, just smaller portions) is really helping a lot. I'm now eating 6x a day instead of 3x and although the portions are smaller, I've not felt hungry at all.
I use MFP for reminders, so that I don't forget to eat. This can sometimes be a problem because I work from home and when I get working on something, I forget about everything else. The downside is that when I do eat, I eat way too much, so the reminders worked really well for me.5 -

I should be absolutely elated that I weigh the same this week as I did last week. I am glad I didn't gain, but my plan right now is to LOSE weight, not maintain! I have basically been maintaining within about 5 pounds for the past 6 weeks. I guess when I finally reach my goal weight, I can feel confident that I know how to maintain! I have no one to blame but myself. I need to get with it! Give myself a swift kick in the @$$!
@birgitkwood - With the meal prep, I think half my problem is tried and true recipes. Like you, I do a lot of the same meals because, yeah, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" right? If it works, keep doing it! Well, now I find myself bored and in need of change.
Having said that, Anyone have any good meal prep recipes to share??
@stephckc - I know what you mean, I hit ONEderland about 10 years ago and swore I'd NEVER leave it! PFFT! One broken leg, 10 years, 90 pounds later and here I am now about 35 pounds down but struggling to stay below 250! Keep your head up and know that you are not alone! We all backslide, some of us farther than others. We just have to get up, brush ourselves off and get back on that wagon! We can't do anything about the past, what's done is done. But we sure as hell can do something about the future!
@lydiapassthedonuts - I am the same way! I do GREAT during the week when I am at work and just terrible on the weekends when at home. It is actually my maintenance plan! LOL Eat healthy and with a calorie deficit during the week and eat freely on the weekends.
Until next time; wishing everyone Peace , Love and Weight Loss !!

@RobinB0812 I attempt to meal prep. I try to have washed lettuce ready to eat, a week's worth of chicken, and frozen bags of veggies and grains. You can do so many different things with chicken you can have something different every night. Last week I used some of my chicken and made chicken noodle soup.
This week, I bought some butternut squash and will make soup with it. I'm going to make a pepper and corn casserole (using some of my prepped chicken) and eat a weighed portion of it for a few of my dinners.
Now I'm excited about tonight's dinner!6 -

OMG i guess my body really wanted that chinese! Cause i had a whoosh in weight loss.
I am looking forward to my day off on sunday. If my parents dont need help finishing their house move....i plan to get caught up with life. Working 7 days a week has been a killer and a lot gets neglected. Some of my dishes havent been washed since july. Nor has the vacuuming or bathroom cleaning been done. Sigh!
Wish there was more time each day. But thankful i have been able to devote my evenings to my dogs and exercising with them. Got home last night finally by 10pm so decided to just go to bed without dinner. So sunday i need to work on meal prep too, so i have quick meals at the ready!6 -
