SAY "NO" TO LATE NIGHT SNACKING -- OCTOBER 2017 CHALLENGE

Tired of self-sabotaging by munching after dinner? Upset that you double your in-calories at night? Then it's not just me . To get some help (or inspire us by your good example), please join us in this challenge.
You set what you feel is late night snacking. For example, if you have extra calories left for the day, you can have a snack if it's small. Others decide not to eat at a past a certain time. It's up to you.
We go by the formula:
Me: "number indicating how many evenings you stuck to it"
LNS: "number of times late night snacks won"
Example: Me: 2 - LNS: 0 indicates I won the first two nights.
Some people also add a * to the latest number. In the example, that would be
Me: 2 - LNS: 1*
if LNS won the 3rd night.
It's as simple as that. Or as complicated, as you will discover. Nevertheless, the persistence and good results of some of our "old" members (and some people keep coming back) show that the battle is worthwhile .
You will notice some people post streaks of how many days they are free of late night snacking. This is definitely not a requirement, but if you want to do it for motivation, it works well.
Welcome!

Me: 3 LNS:1 Usually when I go over I force myself to go for a walk. You can easily burn 250 calories in a half hour. Walk 15 minutes one way and 15 minutes back. I use Runtastic and it syncs to MFP. Works for me5

September was great - ME 28 vs LNS 2
I go back to work in the middle of October after recovery from knee surgery so I hope the stress does make me comfort eat!!4 -
Wow,me too please! just been looking at Sept, so inspiring, I however don't have a problem with late night snacking BUT do tend to raid cupboards between lunch and dinner, but I will call it LNS so no confusion

I love the idea. I'll stop snacking after eight. I often snack for dinner, so that does not seem a clear cut off.1

Me 4 I really love LNS
I will stop snacking for the whole month
Day 1: 200 calories left and I still will not snack!

I'm usually OK except for Thursday night. It's always a very long day for me. I don't keep junk food in the apartment but I will go hit the Dollar Tree chip aisle and buy Potato Skin chips to try to keep myself going. No eating junk on Thursday is my challenge!3

This has been a challenge for me too. Me 1 LNS03

Last month this challenge stopped me from snacking a couple of times. If I log here that I haven't snacked, I can't have a snack after that! For me, no snacking after 8pm. I started last month with "unless I had a planned snack and just didn't get to it till after 8" but I'm going to try to stick to a hard cutoff.

Checking in every day and posting my results has reduced my nighttime kitchen carousing. I joined this group in July when I was late night snacking almost every night. Last month I only LNS four nights. Woohoo!
