I'm bulking just because I stopped tracking food and am eating like an *kitten*. I'm running PHAT though so hopefully I'll get some decent gains.

Just finished losing 120 lbs in 280 days. Sitting at 205 lbs currently. Planning on Trying to find my maintenance calories currently. Once I stabilize with my current Routine, PHUL, I plan on starting a Slow Bulk of 1-2 lbs a month for a good 10-15 lbs. Then following that up with a Cut to see how I look.

awesome progress my friend!!! that's great!!! You should be so proud of yourself- that is a lot of hard work there!!!
Quick update from me: a week in Mexico for second honeymoon (i.e. first anniversary)- didn't gain any weight despite all food and drink- got 3 good workouts in- so I'm very happy.15 -
Hope everyone is doing well! Currently reverse dieting... hope to ease into my bulk starting October. I was hesitating about it for a while (am I lean enough, blah blah) but I came to my senses. Gotta keep building the bod.

I need a t-shirt that says "I'd rather be bulking!"
Last week of cut. I want to eat all the things.2 -
That would be a good shirt.
I have one that has a giant panda on it eating dumplings that says "I"M BULKING" - it makes me happy.4 -
I'm currently on a short bulk until my next meet - November 11. Then I start a cut to get swimsuit ready for my 20th anniversary vacation to Belize in March. Up 12 pounds and feeling very fluffy!

Fall is usually the time of year where I start falling off a bit on my fitness...it's unusual because fall is one of the nicest times of the year to ride...but usually come fall I'm tired and kind of burnt out from the season.
I've taken a different approach this year in that I really just focused on riding for fun rather than signing up for a million events and races and training all of the time. I'm not really burnt out like I usually am, but I still feel that fall laziness coming on so I'm really just focusing on being diligent and hitting 50 miles per week most weeks...that seems to work because it doesn't take a ton of time and I can keep most of my weekday rides to 30-45 minutes and then a bit longer ride on the weekend.
Just focusing and staying diligent and carrying that over into the winter where I typically have some real problems keeping active.5 -
Damn it. I went over a dozen weekends or so and am going to have to wait until the winter to bulk for the first time.0

177.4 this morning. A bit higher than I wanted to get, but it may be some water. I've been peeing like crazy this morning, since I weighed in. I wanted to top out my short bulk at 175. My bulk may modify into more of a recomp.
Off topic - I benched my bodyweight for the first time this morning! Super stoked.13 -
That's awesome!!!
Eh- I'd give it a day or two and see if it's really 177 and then make a choice. (I'm always a wait and see type person)

I'd say recomp/maintenance is coming along nicely for me.
Doing some carb cycling, I'm averaging over 2800 cals per day now. Low day macros currently being 334C/91F/130P. "High day" 429C/74F/130P.
Weight is pretty steadily between 178-181 lbs. Going up slightly after macro increases, but then usually coming back down at which point I increase again.
Body comp seems to have improved slightly, however I was essentially de trained before starting crossfit about 2 months ago and I think that had a lot to do with it.. I've decided to get a squat rack and some things to put in my basement though, so I should be back to more focused powerlifting/hypertrophy training in the next few weeks. I'm looking forward to seeing what consistent training will do. Still lots of work to get my lifts built back up to where they were pre-injury.3 -

I started a 12 week cut 4 weeks ago. I'm making very good progress. so good in fact I had to dial it back a little. I started at 202.5 and wanted to be in the 190 range in mid November. I was 192 on the third week. once i hit my goal in November I will reevaluate my goals based on my condition. I'm tall so getting below 190lbs isn't something i want to do. if I'm as lean as i believe i will be i may start a 12 week clean bulk by adding only protein calories.2

After about a month of perplexing maintenance, I realized my food scale was measuring light. I seem to be back on track with this cut and feeling leaner. 3lbs to go...0

Top is the start of my bulk, bottom most recent progress pics. Been bulking for 4 months and plan on going about 3-4 more months. Not where I’d hope I would be by now, sadly. But that’s just more motivation to lift heavier9 -
Well, I've been cutting for a bit. This morning the scale was going at 132.6-132.8. I'm 5' 7". I'm trying to get a flat stomach, but I also don't want to become underweight. It looks like my fat is concentrated. I'm wondering if I should cut a few more pounds or roll into a slow bulk:

I'm back at 175.8 this morning, so I'm right on track for my weight goal for competition. Going to try to hang out right about here. Also told my trainer yesterday I'd actually start tracking my calories and macros again, so I guess I have to. I made potato chips fit into today. Now I'm trying not to eat them for breakfast.2

Well, shoot, didn't realize you were from Idaho. Grew up in the Magic Valley and didn't leave Id until I was 27.
