Culking Fall of 2017!!!!!

It's time people. It's time to move on to a NEW SEASON!!!!
I know we are coming into the Bulking season for many people- so figured it was time to start a new one!
I'm afraid I'm not going to be bulking this year- I didn't get down to the weight I really wanted this year- so I'm thinking I'm going to keep pressing on with the program I'm on which allows for my cardio. I'm week 3 of 12 weeks- so we'll see what I look like at the that and make a decision if I want to maintain or press harder- I just am not seeing 20 pounds happening this year. Although timing would be good for it- coming out of a different program to come back to power. But- we'll see.
For now- I'm doing Lee Labrada's 12 week Lean body program- I honestly hate it- it's not enough work- but that's half the point- to cut back on 2 hour lift sessions and give me more time to function and do more cardio- so I'm getting more regular cardio in- and I'm seeing changes but lord do I hate the program- not enough work for me. But #trustingtheprocess is part of it- so I'm plowing ahead.
Alright- YOU GO- what's up- what are your fall plans? Tell us- keep track of progress here!!!

This is my starting point for my Culk/Recomp/Reverse. 233lbs morning weight.
After 6 months of spinning my wheels I'm going to be focussing on gaining strength and hopefully put on a few lbs of lean tissue. I will be starting at 3200 calories which is just below maintenance and increasing slightly to try and "rebuild" my metabolism after a period in a deficit. 2 weeks in and strength is up and I'm loving moving some heavy weights again.8 -
Looking great @JoRocka and @trigden1991
I have been cutting since May (uch I know), I am a few weeks from being done, then I will reverse diet into a bulk, which I hope to start in October. Then I will run a small bulk, 1-2lb per month until about March and see where I am. I am not sure if I will track my intake this time around. This bulk will be different because I am going into it with a muscle base I am already very satisfied with, so really I am just making some minor tweaks to my physique.
I will continue to run Get Glutes with some added upper work.. (3 days full body, 1 day lower, 1 day upper). I want to focus on growing the glutes as well as the delts. Make some strength gains too. Feeling pretty good about my plan/programming and excited to get growing again.8 -

Apparently it's eating my caption. I'll try to paste here, if it doesn't work I give up.
I'll post in hopes that I make some progress the next few months.
ETA- I give up.
TL;DR I'm going to attempt recomp to take a break before attempting another cut. Currently 177 lbs, weight trending down at 2300 cals, so yay getting more food.1 -

can we talk about your quad sweep girl- because #damnson
@sardelsa I feel you- I'm honestly not excited about skipping a bulk- but I need better lean progress- I COULD grow- but eh- I want to get smaller. I am right on the edge of not fitting stuff that really needs to fit and is hard to replace so I'm afraid 2 more bulk cycles at my higher weight will get me in an awkward predicament with my weight and said things that won't fit. So- keeping this up for a bit- then we'll see.
But I'm glad you have a good plan!!! Strength gains to me always are a win. I effing love feeling strong.5 -
I am cutting but, its going to have be doing at home workouts. The wife is 6 months pregnant (having a baby girl) and very uncomfortable at this point. So i habe to stay home to help with my son. I also stopped calorie counting because i just cant do it anymore. Its just too much. So working on meal/food manipulation techniques which are working fairly well. Started at 181 and now about 174 as of Saturday morning.
Once my buddy is back from Afghanistan and my wife delivers i should be back in the gym and doing PHAT..
Sucks i gotta stop heavy lifting but that is life.9 -

It's just part of the way that it goes. The path is still there- this isn't failure- merely a side step on one of those side paths you just HAVE to follow. The main path is there- and you'll be back on it soon. The time to do other things is right now.
if it makes you feel better- I'm doing a piss poor job of counting as well- but still making every endeavor to make good choices but I'm hungry all the time from the cardio LOL. Well- I'm just a hungry person- it is what it is.
If you're losing weight- and still working out- and supporting your wife through this- you're doing a good job! Proud of you for keeping at something and you have a plan in general- many wouldn't. So keep faith!!! you're doing good things!6 -
I am in week 2 of a maintenance program. I didn't lean out or bulk this summer, (although I was trying to lean out).
I started a new job in April as a preschool teacher and have been sick 3 out of 4 weeks every month. Trying to cut while feeling like *kitten* wasn't going to happen. I think I will try to maintain until Nov then decide what to do.
I have photos, but my loving partner won't let me see them until I have a full cutting cycle because he knows I'll beat myself up about whatever I see. Gotta love that devoted half.0 -
Weight has finally stabilized at 163.4 from my reverse dieting efforts, post RFL cut. Looks like I'll be starting with a 2700 kcal baseline this time.
It won't be a season for me. I'm aiming for a year long slow bulk to start pushing myself into the 181 class for PL, and getting into a better weight range for strongman competition.
Pictures from this morning for a reference point.

Still defluffing which is coming along nicely albeit very slowly. Down 6.5kg/14.3lbs since the start of June. Would like to get back bulking but kind of liking the definition that is coming out on the reduced body fat levels so I might continue defluffing for another month or two and get back bulking before Christmas.3
-
I'm trying to cut the last 3-4lbs from my first bulk...and then maintain until mid January (would like to be in the 123lb weight class for my meet)
After that I will probably bulk again (@sardelsa has changed my mind with her results)
While bulking messed with my head a bit and I had trouble cutting, I don't think I'll see my lifts increase without significantly more muscle mass, so I don't think recomp is going to cut it.4 -
Yea! In!
Just finished up with a 2 week diet break and plan to finish cutting until the end of Sept, possibly the first couple weeks of Oct, then transition into a nice long slow bulk. Hope to be down to 180 by the time I end the cut.

I want to bulk. I just got back from vacation and have a bit of fluff to get rid of first. 7 pounds up and my pants are TIGHT! I am guessing about 4 of pounds are water and 3 pounds are real gain. That puts me around 1500 extra calories a day. I really thought it was a lot more than that! So much cake!
I'll see where I am at in a month and decide.2 -

Because your shoulder s are so freakin wide dude, the pictures needed to be posted sideways in order to fit!4 -

Bulking again right now. Came off cut Saturday, reverse dieting for 3ish weeks then move to surplus for the next 3.5 months. I managed to lose a couple more (from the last Bulking thread). Slow cutting from this past April till September totally sucked for me, this shiz was just too long, and not mention my lifts suffered cutting this long.
So a shorter bulk/cut cycle this time, doing Glute/Leg focus with some specifics I want to achieve in my upper body as well.
I turned 49 Saturday, got down on myself about it, I have problem areas that want to defeat me and maybe I will never be able to sculpt like I want to, but giving it another go, each time seems to educate me more an more and well I like to eat.. so i am going for it again.
We'll see what happens after I being cutting around mid Jan.

I'm bulking just because I stopped tracking food and am eating like an *kitten*. I'm running PHAT though so hopefully I'll get some decent gains.

Just finished losing 120 lbs in 280 days. Sitting at 205 lbs currently. Planning on Trying to find my maintenance calories currently. Once I stabilize with my current Routine, PHUL, I plan on starting a Slow Bulk of 1-2 lbs a month for a good 10-15 lbs. Then following that up with a Cut to see how I look.

awesome progress my friend!!! that's great!!! You should be so proud of yourself- that is a lot of hard work there!!!
Quick update from me: a week in Mexico for second honeymoon (i.e. first anniversary)- didn't gain any weight despite all food and drink- got 3 good workouts in- so I'm very happy.15 -
Hope everyone is doing well! Currently reverse dieting... hope to ease into my bulk starting October. I was hesitating about it for a while (am I lean enough, blah blah) but I came to my senses. Gotta keep building the bod.

I need a t-shirt that says "I'd rather be bulking!"
Last week of cut. I want to eat all the things.2 -
That would be a good shirt.
I have one that has a giant panda on it eating dumplings that says "I"M BULKING" - it makes me happy.4 -
I'm currently on a short bulk until my next meet - November 11. Then I start a cut to get swimsuit ready for my 20th anniversary vacation to Belize in March. Up 12 pounds and feeling very fluffy!

Fall is usually the time of year where I start falling off a bit on my fitness...it's unusual because fall is one of the nicest times of the year to ride...but usually come fall I'm tired and kind of burnt out from the season.
I've taken a different approach this year in that I really just focused on riding for fun rather than signing up for a million events and races and training all of the time. I'm not really burnt out like I usually am, but I still feel that fall laziness coming on so I'm really just focusing on being diligent and hitting 50 miles per week most weeks...that seems to work because it doesn't take a ton of time and I can keep most of my weekday rides to 30-45 minutes and then a bit longer ride on the weekend.
Just focusing and staying diligent and carrying that over into the winter where I typically have some real problems keeping active.5 -
Damn it. I went over a dozen weekends or so and am going to have to wait until the winter to bulk for the first time.0

177.4 this morning. A bit higher than I wanted to get, but it may be some water. I've been peeing like crazy this morning, since I weighed in. I wanted to top out my short bulk at 175. My bulk may modify into more of a recomp.
Off topic - I benched my bodyweight for the first time this morning! Super stoked.13
