Glad to hear that your day started off well, I hope that the rest of the day was good, too!0

Keep it going. We all have days we go over. I'm over by more than a thousand today. I logged it. The ice cream was worth it.6

Is tea good ? I like a cup a tea a day it's organic if it helps
Everything, literally everything is fine so longs as you eat a big variety of foods (containing different nutrients) and as long as it fits your calories.
No food is OK if you eat only it or mainly it.
You need a variety of nutrients and you can get them if you eat 70-80% nutritious food. The other 20-30% you can eat whatever makes you happy and content.
Never forget to treat yourself often. Otherwise you'll get sick of it and give up.
A 150cal icecream for dinner dessert is great!5 -
5pm and already over my calories by 250 ugg this is a bad day
Well, your calories may have been somewhat low for you to start off with.
However, I am often over by 200 calories one day and under by 200 the next. The important thing on the over days is to not fall into the "I blew my diet; might as well keep eating" trap. You didn't blow it; you're just a little over.4 -
Been doing extra things around the house to burn some extra calories in the run of a day. Hope its working going to weigh in tomorrow while I'm at my doctors appointment.35

Hopefully you see a nice loss to give you a confidence boost! It's just water weight probably at this early stage, but even just water weight feels good at the beginning. Let us know how it went.0

Awesome - it's those little things that add up over time. Avoid the big drastic changes that you don't see yourself doing for the rest of your life. Focus on those small changes that are easily doable. You'll find yourself surpassing those small goals and improving each day.
Don't worry over those small overages on one day. Even it out the next and use that information to learn and improve the next day.4 -

How did it go??
By the way, kudos on logging all weekend!!2 -
No change in weight but what do i expect for a week.12
-
No change is OK. There's always next week. Keep on doing what you're doing. The changes will come.2

Yes keep doing the thing every day. Specially weighing accurately then logging food. Ideally, weigh and log before you eat it, that way you can see how that food impacts the rest of your day & you'll learn plenty about your food that way.
Honestly, 11 weeks ago I was a 290lb couch potato (I am only 5 foot 5 inches tall) eating 1000s of calories in junk food. Now I'm weighing and logging as second nature and eating the right calories to drop 2.5lbs per week.
You can do this too. You may well start dropping lots of weight once you get in a good rhythm. Rooting for you dude3 -
That's alright, especially since you're becoming more active. Your muscles might retain water that can mask progress in the short term. If that's the case, it'll pass.10

Are you on Instagram? If so, follow fatgirlfedup. She lost 300 pounds in 1.5 years. All natural. No gimmicks, no trainers, no shakes. She simply started eating healthy and moving more. She's very inspirational.3

No not anymore i was but I'm cutting my time down on the computer. Technology is half the reason I'm so over weight in the first place the more advanced it gets the less i had to do over the years and never noticed my self getting bigger and bigger and bigger. So I'm cutting out my use of it as much as i can.

Bodies are strange critters. While all the processes and pathways are the same we all react slightly differently. Since you just started walking more you may be retaining water in the short term. Just stay the course. Aim for those numbers and learn from yesterday's mistakes. We seek progress, not perfection.5

Hope you're doing OK BJ1

Keep up the good work! If t turns out you do have the flu, you might want to consider eating at maintenance while you recover. Some people find eating at a deficit prolongs their illnesses. Feel better soon!4 -

I know when I'm sick I'm either very hungry, and will eat over maintenance, or I can't keep anything down and eat very little. Weight loss be damned, I eat what my body can deal with.6 -
Sorry that you are getting sick, but good for you for moving forward despite your illness!1
-
I'm coming down with something just dont no what just hopeing its not something that leaves me bed ridin for a day or so. If it dose ill just have to force my self up anyway.0
-
@bjcrewe If you're sick, give your body a rest. It's ok. Sometimes we need sleep and a bowl of chicken soup!
Don't push too much. Remember it's a marathon, not a sprint. A day or two in bed and then feeling 100% again is better than trying to push too much and being 50% for a week or more.
You're doing great.8 -
Get yourself healthy first. Short term priority overrides the long term goal of losing weight.
Get well soon brother.3
