Hey man, I hope life is treating you well this weekend. Read your first post and I trust that you have gotten a lot of good advice in these many pages and have learned a lot since the start of your journey.
Like I'm sure others have said...don't doubt yourself, make changes that you can live with in the long run. If you are continuously making effort imagine how good it will be in a year. I have been there...last year was rough for me and a year later now I may not be perfect in my life but I am not weighed down (literally) by that extra weight on my body. I haven't lost everything I wanted year but am so thankful that I stuck with it and lost anything at all because my mentality is so much better. Hoping this next year will lose the rest of it, even if it takes two years but I manage to do it I will feel accomplished. It's not a race, but a challenge for yourself and with yourself.
Listen to tons of awesome music, lift some weights and get moving, keep at it and you will do it!7 -
Have not been hungry. I dont see the point of eattng if I'm not hungry most days the last week I've been eatting to make mfp happy cuz it yells at me when i dont reach at least 1200 calories.
Appetite - a natural desire to satisfy a bodily need, especially for food.
Hunger - a feeling of discomfort or weakness caused by lack of food, coupled with the desire to eat.
Your appetite is decreased for now because you want to lose weight and this is your primary focus and goal - this is a very common phenomenon. What you need to do now is develop a routine and schedule to learn what you should be eating. This is a critical element for long term success. You need to adequately fuel your body - that's the number MFP is providing you.
That pendulum is going to swing the other way and you'll have days where you cannot seem to eat enough. This is where you need to have developed a routine and stick to it.
Keep on keeping on!

Even if you don't feel like eating much, be careful because the rebound might knock you flat on your *kitten*. Be ready for it.5

Down 5lbs since last weigh in.
This is great, but you really need to eat more than 1200 calories. You shouldn't be taking risks and you seemed to kind of ignore everyone telling you to eat more. Losing weight isn't a sprint, it's a marathon. It can seem counterintuitive to eat a bit more calories, but it really is beneficial for your health in the long run. My dad weighs above 400 lbs and right now is trying to lose it, and I constantly tell him to make sure he's not just eating the minimal amount of calories. It's just going to hurt you if you continue eating 1200 calories. 1200 is enough for a 5 foot girl to lose weight. You are much bigger than that and should take that into account. Don't just up your calories on mfp, you need to actual eat more than 1200. 1200 is just so dangerously low for a male.9 -

Nice work so far! Some weeks you'll get those big drops and others you will curse and swear and accuse the scales of cheating.. especially as that is the week you did everything perfectly.. but maybe some water weight, or medications or the weight-gods are just mocking you! But keep it up anyway!!7

BJCrewe, where are you today? I look for your posts daily. I hope all is well.3

Is it it possable to lose 200 lbs in less thrn a year ?
I am 489lbs i cant stand for more then 15mins without my back killing me, my whole body hurts like all the time.
I know it wont be easy at this point in my life i need to do something or i dont think ill be around much more then a year.
If anyone can give me any tips i would be greatfull.
I wouldn’t worry about trying to lose 200lbs in a year. Just try to lose weight, if you need to set a goal make it a short term goal i.e. 10lbs in a month. Weight loss is a process and true reflection of the the effort you put in, there’s no shortcuts or magic tricks.7 -
Been a kinda buzzy last few days cooked up big cooked supper yesterday and made a swiss roll for today. Spent today cleaning up the living room and what not.20

Hey, BJcrewe, I don't want to be a pest. I look forward to your posts and I love all the support the community was giving you. But if you've decided to stop posting on this thread for awhile in order to focus on other things, then I respect that and I won't be a nag. Or maybe you're keeping up more with MFP friends and not so much on the public forum? In any case, I wish you well and look forwarding to reading your next post, whenever that comes. Regards from the Gulf coast of Florida.6

Ha ha ha! This is the stuff of sitcoms. Frustrating, but pretty funny. And congrats on your 1-pound loss. Do you feel any different yet? A tiny bit lighter, stronger, more energetic, more flexible? It was these types of physical changes that motivated me early on. It won't be long before you're feeling different, if you don't already.2

Agreed. Keep in mind that once you've lost some weight and taken some pressure off your joints, you'll be able to start exercising and shedding more weight. But for now, the dieting part is going to be the most important.
How are you tracking your calories? Are you weighing everything with a good scale??3 -
Congrats!! You're doing great!

Yes i have a good food scale.2

Hasn't quite been a month yet, right? And you haven't had that fancy body-weight scale for that whole time either.
I'd say WOOT on the ten pounds lost, my friend. :flowerforyou: Really well done!7
