Hi fellow MFPers,
Thought to start this challenge today through end November because I really need it and sounds like some of you might, too.
I am not trying to quit alcohol but just trying to limit my intake during the week especially while allowing myself to enjoy some wine on the weekends. I need to be accountable to exert some control over my 'crutch' ... pretty sure it will help with my weight loss goal along the way.
I will try to post each day and invite you to do the same.
Will start this challenge today and run it until end Nov. I hope some of you will join.

Let’s do it! I have a few occasions but am otherwise going to be alcohol free. It’s more the food choices I make while drinking that I am totally avoiding!8

Alright! Made it through the week - Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu without wine or anything else alcohol.
Yippee! It was harder than I thought which I really hate.
But I figure it will get easier. Looking forward to some wine tonight.7 -
I have heard that having alcohol is injurious to health.A person after having it becomes unconscious.Person can say anything or do anything which he/she forgets afterwards. Is it true?If yes then it is dangerous.4 -
Omg. I’m taking two 14 year olds to comicon.. this weekend doesn’t count. Next week tho!3

I'm ready. I've been living in Puerto Rico for the last year and a half. While living on the island it's easy to make an excuse to enjoy an afternoon cocktail or two..lol. Recent events and the horrible condition of PR have sent me back to the States indefinitely while my husband stays behind for rebuilding efforts. Being back in the States have brought to light a need to cut back a bit. Ready to get healthier and support is welcome!3

So last night went okay; I made my "mini" goal weight today; but I can do better. So far I just been cautious of how much I'm drinking; but tonight I'm going to try and visualize before I even start what exactly I'm going to have and stick to it !!! any other ideas ?!? I think keeping my goal weight over the weekend will help. Hopefully... Lol1

I sometimes write CS on my inside wrist as a reminder to have Club Soda.5

I'm in. It's a daily struggle. I drink two pints of beer a day and none on Sundays, but I'm going to try cutting out entirely a few more days each week. Baby steps.5

Last night, I did pretty well. Only three glasses of wine when I went out with my friend. I set a limit of 2, but the third glass snuck in. BUT it could have been 4-5, so I consider it a small achievement.8

Three glasses of wine last night for dinner and world series watching. Gonna try to have wine only once per week until Thanksgiving dinner. Hope nobody brings over a good bottle!6

Well... Saturday Didn't go exactly as I had planned; plans came up that was unexpected. So i volunteered to be DD which helped me when I was out; however when I came home some friends stopped by, again unexpected and we had some wine. Still tried to cut back, but still was more then I was planning. Today is football Sunday; and friends usually stop in. Good luck to you all on your goals !!! Any cut back is better then none :-)3

I quit completely years ago. Much easier in every way than trying to drink "sometimes, but only a couple."4

The only control that counts in life is self control. Don't want to admit that I cannot exercise self control of alcohol along with the rest of a healthy diet.
A day without wine is like a day without sunshine, which makes Wisconsin in November even more gloomy! LOL

I did awesome last night. Only one vodka and water. Tonight I bought a beautiful wine and shared with my dinner guests. I only had about 2
5oz glasses. Getting better.6 -
I'm so in! Started a new job in a new state and happy hours to make friends is not helping me be healthy.4
