10/30: 231.4 ----Didn't go down, but I'll take it over a gain coming off Sunday dinner.
10/31: 232---- Uggghhh. The dreaded bloat!
11/1: 232---- Ate within goals, BUT nibbled on candy as I passed it out.
11/2: 231.8---- Not much, but it is back in the right direction.
11/3: 230.2--- Wow, my stomach had been feeling icky and bloated since Sunday. I think I had what old folks called
"fever on the belly" from the flu shot I got last Thursday, and this morning it made it's dramatic exit
11/4: 230----Saw 229 on the scale yesterday after being in the yard for 3 hours. But then ofcourse, I had to eat and hydrate. Happy with a loss, but I want to see the 220s.
11/5: 229.8----I know if I breathe the wrong way today 230 can float back up, but for now I'm going to enjoy this number

I started my weight loss journey at 202lbs, but I started with this group back in Round 8. Then, I weighed 195 lbs, and as of today, in Round 21, I weigh 170. I also decided to take another step and joined another support group through MFP because with the holidays coming up, I fear that I am going to struggle to be mindful, exercise, and eat healthy. It's a competition where you join Team A (which wants to lose 15 lbs by January 4th) or Team B (which wants to lose 20 lbs by January 4th.) They do weigh ins on Monday's, and since I'm already weighing in for our amazing group here, and I need that extra accountability over the next few months, I joined Team A. If you find yourself in the same boat, it would be nice to see some familiar faces. Last day to join is today. Here's to seeing and sticking in the 160s.

10/30 - 246.2 - I am so HAPPY about this loss! I've been trying to add more exercise at night, and I think it's really going to pay off. I would love to go much further than my goal in this round and I'm going to try!
10/31 - 247.2 - I ate a little extra but I worked off some of it. I think the lack of sleep was a factor. Tonight's Halloween, so I'm really hoping I can keep my resolve and have a loss instead of a gain!
11/1 - 247.8 - I had candy, not a lot, but I did have some. I actually am pretty proud of how restrained I was. I was still under calories with exercise, and it wasn't a big gain. I'm going to call it a win and hope that tomorrow is better. Eating at book club tonight, so hopefully there are some healthy choices for me!
11/2 - 248.8 - I was bad. I ate way too much, didn't exercise. I'm hitting a low point and I'm not really sure how to pull myself out of it.
11/3 - 249.8 - This week has definitely been a struggle. But finally it's winding down. I am going to get back on track this weekend, for sure!
11/4 - 247.2 - Got some sleep, didn't overeat, did my exercise. Getting the train back in the right direction!
11/5 - 245.6 - Close to my R21 goal!!

I've lost an average of 1.5 lbs. per round over the last 6 rounds! I'm going to see if these guidelines will make a difference in that average!

11/04 - 218.2 - Losing about 2 lbs a day. So far toeing the mark. Hope to continue this trend- ...
Two pounds a day will not continue. It's fun while it lasts but it's likely to be shedding of water. I did that last week after a trip full of salty restaurant meals. I put on 12 pounds and in 12 days and dropped them in the same amount of time. It often happens the first week of a new eating pattern.
Now, don't get me wrong. Those pounds flying off this week absolutely COUNT! Especially for those of us of a certain age. (I'm 66.) It's not healthy to be carrying around all that water!
I just wanted to warn you that weight loss will slow down after the first week. Somewhere between half-a-pound and two pounds a week is normal. For many of us in it for the long haul, we aim at a pound a week by eating at a 500-calorie/day deficit.

Maybe you need to "plan in" those sugary desserts, chips, and snacks -- just a little less of them. I figure now that I only rarely eat potato chips and I only eat them 1 ounce at a time, I can buy fancy potato chips and enjoy them thoroughly. It takes awhile to learn not to blow right through portion sizes on desserts and snacks but I'm learning. It doesn't seem strange now to have an opened bag of chips on the counter and ignore it.8 -
If anyone wants an example of the impact of sodium and water weight, here it is! In 12 days of traveling and eating out, I put on over 10 pounds. In the 11 days I’ve been home, I dropped it back off! Back to the inexorable trudge toward being simply overweight rather than obese! And finally on to a normal BMI!

10/31 254.8 -- Basically the same as yesterday. Note to self: great gobs of peanut butter are not to be eaten with a spoon like pudding. If you aren’t gonna measure it, don’t eat it!

11/2 251.8 -- A new low! First one since round 18! Now I am truly past the retrieved trip poundage. And this is with clothes on whereas previously was in my birthday suit! Huzzahs for CICO!

11/5 - 182.6 - I'm coming out of a business trip. I hardly slept while I was gone, definitely didn't drink enough water, and made decent choices but didn't concern myself with portion sizes at all. Last night I went to bed at 8:30 and slept over 9 hours. Today we have brunch at our BFFs. My goal today is to drink 90 oz of water, get a little exercise in, and foam roll my hips, back, and legs, along with stretching. Back at it. Hopefully this water weight drops quickly.

It's a great program, the C25K. This is how I got into running, too. I didn't even know how to start and it was way easier doing it in small increments. I remember the huge sense of accomplishment I felt when I ran my first 5K race.

Round 20 was a definite challenge, pulling me out of my comfort zone. Hoping to get back on track this round and focus on the daily weigh-in the next morning when I am tempted to go off the rails. Loving this accountability.
10/30: 165 Good day yesterday; got a run in and drank my water. Having trouble tracking, though. I get lazy by dinnertime and don't finish out the day.
10/31: 164.5 managed to finish tracking yesterday. Got in a walk with the dog and 30 minutes on my elliptical at home. My DH took apart the elliptical, cleaned it, fixed the fan so it works again... nice for those cold mornings when I don't want to drive to the gym...
11/1: 165.7 Not gonna lie. Yesterday I ate with... what did you call it, Heidi, Cyranda? ...reckless abandon. Today has not been much better. Gotta turn it around, and FAST!

10/30: 176.0 which considering how I ate yesterday is quite surprising in a good way. Plan for today: drink all the water and stick to the plan!
10/31: 175.2 Plan: just say NO to the Halloween candy! It's the same candy that's around all year long, just in a different wrapper. ( also: say no to the booze!)
11/1: 175.6 I stuck to the plan. No booze. I did eat 2 mini peppermint patties and they were worth it! Walked an extra mile too taking the kiddos out. I'm supposed to do my measurements today, but I'm feeling some hormonal bloat so gonna wait a few days for those. Plan for today: drink more water. Write it, then bite it.
11/2: 175.0 I'm really sick of seeing this. Been here since October 3- although my average weight IS going slightly down according to my trend ( i use Libra) it sure as heck doesn't feel like it and will soon be a horizontal line if this number doesn't budge!
Plan for today: drink 4 24 oz water bottles. Realized I need to be a bit more specific with this one. Also, finish my meal planning for the next week.
11/3: 175.0 I thought I saw 174 flicker for a second. So maybe a whoosh is coming. Let's cross fingers.

10/30 starting weight 162.0 First day of tracking again in quite a while. I know it works....just need to get back to it and start being more active.
10/31 162 Tracked everything yesterday and today….getting back to being accountable again. I was hungry several times today, but resisted for the most part because I knew what I had left for calories and also tried to make good choices when I felt I couldn’t hold out.
11/1 161 Old fashioned scale…..so need to see the needle actually move to know that I have lost. Plan to keep on tracking as I need to and not mindlessly eating when I get home from work.
11/2 161 Yesterday was a really hungry day….held off and stayed within my range including activity…weekend coming up will be difficult.
