Yes, why isn't there a square bun to go along with it? As it is, I would be forced to eat the corners off first thing. I just couldn't have them sticking out like that.3 -

According to a Business Insider article:
“Wendy's founder Dave Thomas "wanted to make sure that the patty sticks out of the bun so that everyone can see it, see the juiciness," Frank Vamos, director of brand communications for the company.”
Never bothered to inquire before. Hehe
And here I always assumed it was so the cheese fit on the patty neatly.5 -
and you are eating all this for 1 meal in the evening - what happened to breakfast, lunch & snacks ? try eating some real meals with some veggies - Eastcoast Jim6

Obviously it doesn't work for him or he would be losing weight. A lot of people skip breakfast and eat just two meals per day. But one huge meal of fast food is not healthy or beneficial for weight loss. Fast food in many cases is so over processed it has little nutritional value.

Wendy's has always had square patties.
To round out the macros a frosty should be added to the meal.

It's true that one doesn't often see results in one week. Hopefully if he continues this eating plan he is recording it all and maybe Netflix will buy it. There hasn't been a documentary about subsisting on one Meal of Wendy's every day. I don't know if this is better or worse than the Super size me guy! You couldn't pay me to eat everyday in Wendy's. I haven't eaten there in 10 years. Their food doesn't sit well with my digestive system.

On the bright side, if this works out for you then you can be the new Jared.
You and Wendy's can make a fortune together!5 -

- One week is not enough data to show trends on your weight. Normal fluctuations in your weight can explain every reading you take within a week.
- You're consuming two day's worth of sodium every day. This is likely to lead you to retain water.
- If what you're eating now is a significant change in what you were eating before, the microbiome in your gut is having a dance fight party.
It's worth it to note that if you are in a calorie deficit, you will lose weight on this diet. You're missing some micronutrients by eating the same thing every day, but you know, fortune favors the bold?7 -
dont try to get any veggies in there or anything9

No one can possibly think this is a great way to lose weight. You are doing several things wrong.
1. One meal a day
2. Fast food nightly
3. Double cheeseburger and a chicken sandwich
4. Chili
5. Incorrect calorie count
This is not a nutritional way to lose weight. While there is nothing wrong with eating fast food occasionally, but consuming it everyday will definitely throw your body out of whack. Too many calories, too much sodium, fried food, you name it this 'diet' has all the wrong ingredients. Your body needs a regular diet to function properly and be healthy; veggies, fruits, calcium to name a few items missing from your one meal. I would suggest you go to your doctor and ask why you're gaining weight on the one meal a day plan.31 -
I'd suggest
1. it's only been a week
2. Swap the double stacks for a side salad and a Jr Bacon.
You'll want a bit of fibre in there.6 -
OP--hang tough. If one meal a day works for you, that's awesome. Double check the nutritionals to make sure they fit in your calories, because you could be eating more than you think. One week is wayyyyyyyy too soon to make any judgements about whether calorie counting works, especially if your calories were off, because CI > CO is the straight out truth to weight loss.
I love Wendy's and eat there a few times a month. It's cheap and easy. I usually opt for a cup of chili and baked potato, and damn skippy if I have enough calories I get a Frosty.5 -
This water weight stuff and funky diets are nothing new for the OP:

I order 2 double cheeseburgers
1 chicken sandwich
And a large chili and I drink water
All stuff on the value menu
I think I might have metabolic syndrome because I used to eat very little calories and very little protein but a lot of carbs
My question is why am I gaining weight when I’m eating 1500 or less calories a day, maybe the nutritional information on the website is inaccurate or maybe it’s all the meat... whatever it is it breaks my motivation that I’m not losing anymore weight and in fact am gaining
So tonight I will not be eating that meal again seeing as it’s making me gain weight the only other thing is, I feel a lot better I don’t have anymore headaches or hunger pangs, I sleep better at night and my anxiety levels are down. But to summarize I used to eat mostly junk like frozen food and carbs like chips and ice cream but I was losing weight but was getting very little protein. Now I’m eating a higher protein diet but from fast food but still around the same amount of calories and my weight has actually increased.
The food you describe is high in sodium, high sodium causes water to be retained in your body to keep the concentration of sodium in your bloodstream constant. If you change your diet in such a way that your sodium intake increases substantially it is quite easy to put on 5 or more pounds practically overnight from water. Retained water equals additional weight because water has weight. Doesn't mean you put on fat.
Also your diet is kind of bizarre, not sure why you are doing the 1-meal a day fast-food diet but maybe choose something different that is sustainable and provides adequate nutrition.5 -
