I weigh first thing in the morning when I get up. My scale only has 1/2# increments, and I'm too cheap to buy a fancier scale. Comments reflect prior day. Previous round EW 162.0 LW 162.010/20/17 / Started Round 20: Oooh, I like this thread! I've been weighing myself daily since April, keeping track in MFP Food Notes, and logging my "official" weigh-ins on Saturdays. I've been amazed at how much my weight can fluctuate from day to day, depending on eating out or processed foods, adult beverages, net calories green or red, etc. Daily weigh-ins really help me see cause and effect with high sodium, too much sugar, etc. I don't get freaked now by a jump on the scale, since I know what I did to cause it, and what I can do to change it.

11/09: 163.5 Active day, including dog walk 3.09 miles. Fitbit 16,212 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 hours & 46 floors. 10c water.
11/10: 163.0 Non-dog walk day. Fitbit 7,901 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 hours & 34 floors. 10c water & net calories green (barely).
11/11: 164.5 That's what happens after net calories -362 and super high sodium (smoked salmon & crackers w/ hubby). Walked dog 3.86 miles & yard work prepping for winter. Fitbit 16,147 steps, 250+ steps 11/14 hours (day at home) & 35 floors. 14c water, need to keep that up today.
11/12: 163.5 Net calories red, sodium green, 13c water. Walked dog 2.34 miles. Fitbit 10,439 steps, 250+ steps 7/14 hours & 15 floors.
11/13: 164.0 Sometimes I wish my scale weighed in .1 increments. Oh well, as long as I can see the trend long term. Walked dog 3.28 miles. Fitbit 15,118 steps, 250+ 10/14 hours (church & watched Packers game) and 28 floors. 12c water.
11/14: 164.0 Walked dog 3.03 miles. Fitbit 14,836 steps, 250+ steps 14/14 hours (boom) & 37 floors.

11/16: 163.0 Little surprised, I'll take it. Net calories red, sodium red, 14c water. Non-dog walk day & evening at theatre. Fitbit 8,030 steps, 250+ steps 12/14 hours & 31 floors.
11/17: 163.0 Steady is good. Net calories & sodium green, 14c water. Walked dog 3.09 miles. Fitbit 15,052 steps, 250+ steps 14/14 hours (boom) & 35 floors.
11/18: 162.0 Another surprise...maybe this was why I felt hungry. Net calories -48, sodium green & 12c water. Walked dog 3.09 miles. Fitbit 15,280 steps, 250+ steps 14/14 hours (boom) & 44 floors.
11/19: 165.0 Expected jump from parade day. Staged holiday parade in a.m. Gave myself day off from logging & to imbibe / eat whatever I wanted. Drank adult beverages, ate restaurant meal and treats at home. Totally worth it! Walked dog 2.83 miles in afternoon. Fitbit 14,794 steps, 250+ steps 9/14 hours and 19 floors.
11/20: 163.5 Net calories red 18, sodium red 647 (ack) but sugar green (yay), 12c water. Walked dog 3.26 miles. Fitbit 13,815 steps, 250+ steps 11/14 hours & 29 floors.

11/23 Thanksgiving Day (US) - Another day off from logging adult beverages & food for me. Plan to walk dog before travels & drink plenty of water. Will have 5 1/2 hours round trip in car.

I think you need to find something else to have for breakfast that you actually like to eat but fits in your calorie goals and keeps you full.
This morning I had two fried eggs, 30g avocado spread on a slice of sprouted grain toast and a coffee with milk and splenda and it came in just under 300 Kcal. I love oatmeal and sometimes have it with berries or apples and cinnamon but it doesn't keep me full for long enough and it's usually more calories.8 -

11/21: 164.6 I've stopped tracking; need to start that up again as I think it will help me with eating better foods at a deficit (instead of maintaining, which is what I have been doing). Had a good run on the treadmill last night. I am starting to feel my muscles again!
11/22: 164.3 Had a nice mini hike with my son yesterday. We went to his favorite pizza place and I managed to order a half spinach salad instead of the slice. Really did not want to see a bounce up today! lol Prepping for dinner tomorrow... stuffing, pie, and veggies are on my list.13 -

11/19 251.8 -- One pound less than yesterday. Rather than save calories for evening snacks, I made sure to eat all my calories during the day and finished with supper. I didn’t stay up until the wee hours and I didn’t do any late night post-diary snacking!
11/20 250.2 -- Lowest yet. I will continue getting all calories eaten by the end of supper. If I don’t start to eat after supper I don’t need to figure out how to stop at a time of day (late evening) when I’m least in control of my eating.
11/21 251.0 -- The scale is toying with me.
11/22 252.8 -- Over ate with reckless abandon yesterday and this is the result. It was fun but as my mother says, “Them that plays pays.” Back to controlled eating today.

I've decided that I am going to eat at maintenance/refeed for 2/7 days a week, which is why I am going to start using my average weight. I want to offset hormonal changes that occur when losing weight for extended periods of time that can make it harder to lose and maintain weight and I'm hoping to alleviate potential emotional stress of constantly being in a deficit.
Day/Weight/Comment
11/19--221.5 2lb increase over yesterday. I hit the trifecta of temporary weight gain--ate at maintenance, did not drink enough water, and worked out. Eating at maintenance today. I'm going to do some stretching today to help with the soreness from my kettlebell workout.
11/20--222.6 Temporary weight gain from eating at maintenance yesterday. Going to kettle bell again tonight.
11/21--222.0 Temporary weight gain from the hard work out yesterday, I am so sore, and lack of water. Today is rest day and making sure that I keep hydrated.
11/22--221.7 Still sore. Just a reminder that when you start working out you will show a temporary weight gain and your weight loss will slow for awhile. Going to kettlebell tonight. Goal is to stay hydrated today.

11/21 - 158.6 ... Still a 5!! (15,488 steps) Didn't pack a lunch but still ate well. Wasn't overly hungry but got in 1200+ calories. Working hard at trying to get it together so so busy and it's not 'gonna' slow down anytime soon.
11/22 - 157.6 ... (15,200 steps) Had cake, no idea how many calories it was. So shaved off some lunch items and had a light dinner. Got my walking in and forgot my salad dressing this morning.

11/22 179.2 - First time I've weighed in almost 3 weeks. No real change in that time. I did a 30 min HIIT and upper body workout today. I've planned for Thanksgiving by buying a riced cauliflower stuffing (I have regular stuffing, too, but the strategy is to fill up on the cauliflower before hitting that or mashed potatoes). I think tomorrow I'm scheduled to take progress photos. Since my weight refuses to change, I decided I need to look at other markers of progress. Glad to be back!
