I didn't do as well in January as I hoped. This process is really an exercise in patience.

I went to a yoga class tonight that I found quite challenging. I'm proud of myself for doing pretty well, I'm mostly new to yoga.
01/30: 154.5
Likely be up again tomorrow, I had a big dinner out with all the sodium. But, I hiked and went for a run today so overall it was a good day for progress, it just won't show up on the scale right away, I'm sure.
01/31: 156.5
I felt like today was a good day, but I still went over my planned calories.9 -
@quiltingjaine Major typo. Lol It was just an 8 oz. bump. Lol And I believe you can do it too.3

@KayHBE, that was an incredibly sweet thing to say. Thank you so much. I hope the quotes I post mean something to everyone that reads them because they've been helping me. I don't think there will be a WHOOSH tomorrow. Too much sodium again, I believe. I just want to stay in the 150s this time.
@mamabear10717 Well enjoying working out and eating healthy is wonderful. You're leap and bounds ahead of me in that department. Lol I've learned to like it over time. No, you're not a loser, except of weight.

All aboard the 10 Days train!
Welcome newcomers & Great to see you back, familiar faces!!
Had the bomb-digity last couple of rounds. Expected a big drop in R28 - shedding all the holiday gain. Ecstatic with the huge R30 progress! Craving more!
Officially 10 pounds lighter than my previous MFP attempt. So happy to have achieved this in a healthy, sustainable way. No more diet pills, prepackaged meal schemes, and other whatnot that I would just gain back plus some afterwards. It's a lifestyle, not a diet.
Let's show the scale who's boss!

1/28:: 240 - It's getting easier to eat less food. The Intermittent Fasting is still very hard during breakfast when I'm cooking eggs, bacon, french toast for the kids.
1/29:: 238.7 - 1350 kcal food intake - it's getting easier to pass up the sweet foods. I just gotta keep telling myself it's not worth it. It's days like today when I reach my nutrient goals but yet still have open kcal available. I'm going to start doing smoothies for lunch everyday. Fasting during work days are super easy.
1/30:: 238.7 - 1101 kcal intake - I was planning to fast all day long however the wife tempted me with homemade chicken and dumplings... Well to say the least once I started eating I just wanted more. So I stopped at my kcal goal.
1/31:: 238.7 - 1201 kcal intake - I'm starting to get frustrated the scale isn't moving. It's becoming like groundhog day.
2/1:: 238.2 - I stayed up entirely too late to see the blood moon last night. Seeing the scale change has been a well needed relief. Little did I know I was going to need that bump in motivation. Today has probably been the hardest not to eat junk food. Then to make matters worse, leadership brought in a huge stack of pizzas for us today. I smiled, thanked them and walked away... The smell has filled my office making it extremely tempting... Especially when I know they have my favorite out there. Pepperoni and Bacon. That's made my vegetable smoothie very lack luster to drink. I just keep telling myself that a craving isn't worth back tracking for.

@cschmitz110515 You amaze me with the "Floor" count you get daily!! Do you live on a Mountain, in a 10 story house??!!?? lol
Someone earlier in the thread said something along the lines of, that they are trying really hard not to let the daily fluctuations get to them. I totally understand that ( I think most of us can ) BUT this is one of the best things I've ever done for learning about me and how my body works.
Gains, like I've seen this week are almost laughable now, because I know for a fact i didn't over eat by 7,000 calories. I am an eat to lose kind of woman and get anywhere from 1500-1800 daily. Which of course is quite sufficient. If you add 7,000 for the 2 lb "gain" ... yeah, No. lol I know I worked my muscles hard, I know I am retaining water for repairs, I know I am eating well, so I also know the gain isn't real.
Knowledge is power, and the more you know about you and how your body works, the easier this journey is going to be, on all fronts.
Good Luck Everyone!

01/28 196.7 - Nikki062181 Thank you for the well wishes for my fella's. Both are feeling much better now. Hopefully we wont be experiencing a round 2, like so many other families have. Sundays are my rest days. If I get anything over 5,000 steps I've done to much. lol Stats for my day were: 4,739 steps, 3 floors, 2.2 miles ... Total active time: 6 minutes
01/29 196.4 Today was a good! The weather here has been unseasonable warm(ish) so Its been quite a pleasure to walk in. Though truth be told, I am a Polar Bear who loves the snow, I suppose that helps. lol Stats for the day were: 17,993 steps, 7 floors, 8.34 miles ... Total active time: 131 minutes
01/30 196. Today was a good day. Got a lovely 5 mile walk in and started lifting again. I have every expectation of the scale showing much higher in the morning, because I barely made it up the stairs to bed. It was a good lift day of mostly compound lifts. Felt great doing, afterwards internally I was Wonder Woman but physically you had to help me out of a chair. LOL
Stats for my day were: 14,245 steps, 17 floors, 6.53 miles ... Squats- 3 x 10 @40 lbs, Squatted pull downs- 3 x 10 @44 lbs, Bent over Tri-kick backs- 3 x 5@5 lbs, Shrugs-3 x 10@30 lbs, Leg kick-backs 3 x 30 , Calf raises- 3 x 50 ... Total active minutes: 125 minutes
01/31 198.4 If I thought I was sore yesterday, it was nothing NOTHING compared to today! OMGoodness Every action brought a new ouch or ache. Compound lifts are my friend even if they do pretend to hate me. lol
Stats for my day were: 21,225 steps, 20 floors, 9.84 miles ... Total active time: 141 minutes

01/29 - 99.4 - Yikes! The salt I'm sure, but not just - yesterday was a hard day resisting food
01/30 - 99 - From what I've learned from these past challenges is that it generally takes 3 days to undo salt damage for me. The only difference food wise is that I've increased my healthy fats - i'm flirting with the idea of a keto diet but since I know absolutely nothing about it, im doing research first. Tips and pointers appreciated though01/31 - 98.6 - Soooo slow coming back down. I really cannot let my guard down on weekends

01/29 - 116.5 - Had a hard workout last night, so I was planning on some water retention
01/30 - 114.6 - Super surprised to see this number on the scale today considering the amount of sodium I had yesterday and sore muscles, but I make no complaints. Skipping office drinks and pizza today because of scheduling conflicts, but pretty glad I don't need to hold strong in the face of free pizza and cocktails!
01/31 - 114.9 - I knew it would be up a bit, but still bummed. I had a big, high sodium Georgian dinner complete with some khachapuri to celebrate DH's new job last night, so I ate back my exercise calories, which I hate to do. Not too much damage, though I definitely need to cut back on sodium for the next couple of days.
02/01- 114.3 - I don't know what to say except yay! and that I'm going to ruin this progress tonight with 2 parties both at amazing restaurants I will try to keep it from getting too out of hand though!

01/28: (no weight) - So I went out and got a bit bevved on Saturday so spent most of Sunday hungover hugging the sofa, I still ate within my calories but I didn't manage to drag myself onto the scale haha.
01/29: 122.1kg/269.2lbs - Yeah I'll take this, imagine there is some beer weight still floating around in me. Back to the gym today and ready to smash this week again. Aiming for another 2/3lbs loss however my scales are being very indecisive, may have to look at investing in a new one.
01/30: 120.7kg/266.1lbs - YESSS, my lowest weight in a long time. Starting to wear shirts I haven't in a long time, it's a great feeling. Meal preps for lunch still going strong with 2/3ltrs of water a day and gym 4 times a week.
01/31: 120.8kg/266.3lbs - I know it's nice seeing a drop but stability is key too, more than happy to stay in the 120s for a few days, I am expecting a big drop soon though. Cardio today, managed to run 5k the last couple of weeks but really want to push myself and get closer to 7.5k and edge my way towards 10k. Onwards and upwards.
02/01: 121.0kg/266.7lbs - Forget what I said yesterday, I WANT A DROP PLEASE. I had a late night and skipped cardio as my legs are still sore from Tuesday. Back to the gym tonight and probably another late night as the other half is working late. I know I'm on a loss overall this round but I could really do with the boost of seeing some numbers drop - still dreaming of sub 120kg.

Had a great round 29 so hoping it continues - R30 goal is 136lb.....
01/28 138.4lb - unsurprisingly slightly up - yesterday (although not over calories allowance) I spent my whole day at the computer, drinking coffee and too little water and didn't hardly move at all. I'm an accountant and its tax return deadline on Wednesday 31st so really busy. More of the same today too ....... must have more water today if nothing else........
01/29 139.1lb - not unusually I weigh more on a Monday - the usual full Sunday roast and dessert (all in calories just a lot of food concentrated in the evening!). And on top of that the whole weekend spent in front of a computer. So am happy with this especially as still under the 140lbs! No reason this won't be a good week
01/30 139.4lb - not surprised! Caught my kids cough and cold and was up half the night drinking water trying to stop myself coughing so drank loads plus had lemsips and hot drinks! However my calories and macros yesterday were spot on (as was my fluid intake!!) so know this is the scales lying to me
01/31 138.20 - my usual fall on the scales on a Wednesday post weekend. Still not back to my all time low of last week but only by 0.30lb which I'll allow myself as still full of cold so still dosing up on lemsips and cough medicines! Went to the gym last night but not a 100% effort as feel rough - but I went so pleased with that. Will keep drinking plenty, eating sensibly and watch those scales continue to go down! A new month tomorrow and closer to Spring
02/01 139.10lb - up and down this round. Was within my calories again yesterday so can only assume its due to lack of activity (stuck behind computer due to tax return time of year) and feeling rough so been having lemsips and cough pastilles. And to top it off TOM is imminent so feeling bloated. Tax all done now though and hoping cough and cold is on its way out so can only gt better. BUT - I have throughout it all still remained under 140 .......

Initial Goal Weight 65kg
Ultimate Goal Weight 60kg
R30 GW 67.7kg (aiming for 0.5kg again although I think it might be a bit ambitious, I generally lose slowly!)
R30 (2)
01/28 - no access to scales today, also expecting a lot of water weight due to eating out all weekend (very limited food choices), will do what I can to not overeat though!
01/29 - 68.8 - a big jump up, I expected it though after a weekend of limited food options, hopefully just water weight and will come off in the next couple of days
01/30 - 67.8 - followed by a big drop, mostly water from the weekend I think. Also didn't eat much yesterday as I was ill so I expect this will rebound back up a bit.
01/31 - 68.2 - back up a bit, ate late last night and got up and weighed early. So far no change this round!
02/01 - 68.3 - ate at maintenance yesterday, as well as having achy muscles from a PT session - trainer upped all my weights. Hopefully won't creep too much higher!
@Morelittletoys personally I've never done VLCD as I just couldn't cope with that few cals. As far as I'm aware it should only be done under medical guidance due to difficulties getting the nutrients you need at that level of cals (someone more knowledgeable may come along and correct me!)7 -
