02/07.. 143.4 At goal for last round.. Yeah! Did an hour pool exercise yesterday. Today -? I don't know but something. Goal for this round is to lose another pound so 142.4 Getting back to it. Been experimenting making my own protein bars. They taste great and are high protein, low carb and costs less than my favorite Quest bars.
02/08...143.4 50 min on ellip which is probably why I'm the same even after 2 small egg rolls. Today, protein bars, salad and eggs ...no wine.. I'd Like to see a drop.
02/09..144.2 Why the increase? Don't know. Made some cheesy cauliflower breadsticks; perhaps the salt in the parmesan? Ate clean except for 2 small cookies. No wine. I guess it's just fluctuation.
02/10.. 144.2 no exercise to speak of and indulged - martini and some pumpkin pie. Glad it's not worse. Today, exercise and clean eating. Cold Saturday here.

GW: Anything less than 159 this week.
2/7: 157.4 SAY WHAT NOW?! "The first step to getting anywhere is deciding to not stay where you are."
2/8: 157.4 I really do believe this number will come up. I just can't believe my eyes and think this number is real. I didn't mention it yesterday, but I was in a car accident on the way home from work Tuesday night. No one was hurt and my car wasn't damaged, but my back has been really sore. God waa watching over me for sure. "She believed she could, so she did."
2/9: 158.8 I ate healthy. I ate within my calories, but what I ate had a lot of sodium in it yesterday, and I did not take in as much fluids either. I need to rectify that today. "Don't quit."
2/10: 158.2 I ate well yesterday, but I did indulge in 2 pieces of cheese pizza. It was "National Pizza Day" as my son reminded me. I stayed within calories and my carb goal though. So, I call it a win. However, I was so BEYOND full off those 2 pizzas. I'm not used to that many carbs in one setting anymore. Whew! "Be the girl that decided to go for it."13 -

02/07 - 158.5 - 1525Kcal - Barre Workout Class (45 min)
02/08 - 157.5 - 1533Kcal - Strength Training Class (60 min), OK on water
02/09 - 157.1 - ? Kcal - Hard workout (by accident), plus few drinks - Sat weigh-in might include loss in water weight - we’ll see…
02/10 - 156.3 - Super excited even if this is only water! Going to get a lot of steps in today to capitalize on momentum and drink lots of water. I’m thinking social accountability is what I needed. Also, getting consistent in 1500 calorie range and starting to feel more satisfied. Knowing I have to check in the next morning is making me think twice about my 9:00pm snack…very hard habit to break.

Goal for this round: 212.0
Day/Weight/Comment
02/07 = 212.6. Day one, and so far, so good (-1.4 lbs). I wanted to get mad yesterday when I didn't lose any weight in last challenge, but I need to realize that good work I do one day may not always show up the exact next day. My body fluctuates on a daily basis, and sometimes I do not get a particular number exactly when I want it. Today is a "whoosh" because I have generally been doing pretty well. Whatever does not show up on this weigh-in will show up on the next. Or the next.
02/08 = 212.4. Figured out as (wanted to say “after,” but it was “as”) I bought my lunch yesterday that it was BAD; too many calories, too much salt. I threw half of it away, ate mindfully the rest of the day/night, and ended up still staying under calories for the day. This was a big victory for me, one that I would not have had a few weeks ago. I have the gym and basketball tonight, so I’m hoping to keep the positive vibes rolling!
02/09 = 211.4. This is feeling easy again. Under calories last night not including exercise. Took a walk during the day, went to the gym to lift weights, and played basketball for an hour. I know this is hard (I remember last week!), but it doesn’t feel that way right this second. This is my version of being in the zone. I know it won’t last forever, but I’m enjoying it. I wish this feeling on all of you!
02/10 = 212.6. Ate out twice yesterday. It’s funny. I woke up feeling great yesterday, but my energy level dropped like crazy as the day went by, and I was pretty much spent by lunch. I'm pretty sure I'm fighting off a cold (at least), and that I'm in a vulnerable state as a result (eating-wise). I’m realizing that this is also a pattern, and one of those things that can really throw me off of any good habits I might have. I ended up having both lunch and dinner out. I didn’t eat “crazy,” but I definitely could have made better choices. I was slightly over my calorie goal for the day (estimated), and definitely way over in Na+. I’m feeling a little better this morning, so I’m going to go to the gym, then play basketball, and see if I can have a really good weekend of eating mindfully, staying in control, and NOT being sick. Today will be the first time my wife has seen me play basketball in the 14 years we have been together (6+ of them married).

02/10 131 - It helps me a lot to read the posts from everyone else doing everything right, staying under calories and drinking lots of water, and are also being frustrated with the scale. (Though I am not sleeping enough or exercising, I’m a working mom of 3 include 2 small ones and I haven’t figured out how to incorporate fitness yet.) My diet yesterday was all “healthy” meals found online that ended up putting me over my fat gram goal, but I drank over 80oz of water...I’ve been living somewhere around this weight for so long now I’m just frustrated and want so badly to crash down through that 130 road block! Next weekend I have a bridesmaid dress fitting, I’m only 10 weeks away from being on the beach in Cabo and I want to feel more confident in my skin! Ugh. Thank you to anyone who read this rant, it is very helpful to have someone to share this with that understands/cares.

Ok. So the bloat is gone. Whew! I think bingeing will be something I ALWAYS struggle with, no matter what my weight is. I think when people see a thin person walking down the road, they take it for granted that they have always been thin. The fact of the matter is, it’s a daily effort.

02/07 - 169.4 : Ran 2 miles and ate 111 over goal. Felt great all-in-all!
02/08 – 169.4 : Worked 15 hours the day before. Ended the day w/ a headache. Ate at calorie goal!
02/09 – 171: Got 13,000 steps (some of those being from the run I went on). Ended up eating back all of my fitbit points but on target ultimately, had alcohol w/ dinner and my dinner was high in sodium. I am assuming it’s the alcohol and high sodium from last night that caused the bump in the scale this morning. Interesting
02/10 – 172.1: Got 10,000 steps but ate a big dinner and 3 drinks. Probably ate close to 2200 calories today. Hoping to get hydrated and get back on track. Also hoping that my monthly bloating goes away in the next few days.

@str82nichelle Have you eliminated grain and sugar from your diet? Both cause inflammation. I didn’t believe it until I started Keto and my knees quit hurting after 50 years - yes, fifty!
@DebCountsAll Why never more than 12 cups of water? Half your weight in ounces would be almost 18 cups. I routinely drink at least a gallon.
@archersport Good to see you back! I was concerned when you disappeared.
@kshanee1 I’m also glad you are okay. So many idiots on the road these days, it doesn’t matter how careful we are, someone else can cause a mess which involves others!
@amandacmariej I also enjoy reading everyone’s updates. In 10 weeks I’ll be flying to Florida for my 50 year HS reunion. May I ask what diet you are following? I only ask because I’m doing Keto (low carb, moderate protein, higher fat) and if you are doing the Standard weight loss method of reduced fat and lower calories, you can’t do both together as it will cause weight gain. Higher carbs from one plus higher fat from the other is a recipe for failure. Hope this helps. We’re here for you!
Just my personal note regard fluctuations. Even at my advanced age (not sure I have hormones anymore ; ) ) I have fluctuations.
