HI Sisters, I am sending out love to all who are in pain either physically or emotionally. I just love you gals so much and I love hearing about your days, your daily struggles and your daily triumphs.
I have had highs and lows yesterday. The lows were another argument with my DH who can't spare five minutes out of his work to even talk about our marriage and how distant our relationship is getting. Felt so lonely last night all I wanted to do was drive into town, buy a LOT of chocolate and a bottle of red and anesthize my feelings...but I didn't. Instead I grubbed thistles in the paddock for thirty minutes until my hands started to blister and then I went upstairs to my movie room and distracted myself with Tony Robbins documentary I am not your guru as well as some more Good Place episodes. The high was stepping on the scale this morning to ANOTHER pound burnt off from following the body builder diet. Can't believe how well it is working.
So I am heading out for a run, then I will work out then I have hive work to do. to you all Wendy16 -
Hello ladies! I'm still a little dizzy here and there but decided to get back to swinging my kettle bell. I am starting back at week one day one and was able to swing without any dizziness. The rest of the day I will be going to the pool and hot tub. We will need to go shopping to see if we can get a new bed for the RV. Then this evening we will go and play bingo!
Margaret - enjoy your day off! I heard from my family that a lot of people are staying home today!

Been online buying a present for Bea, who will be 2 next week. DDIL said to get her a baby doll of her own. They have several already in the house, but they are not hers personally. I ordered one and some bibs for her to put on. I'm going to look at clothes tomorrow when we go food shopping and get her something nice. She's still young enough to like clothes for a present.
We're going to Hove for her party the following weekend and staying for a "sleepover".
Trying to sort through our thousands of books and get rid of some. I have only a small pile so far. I really don't need them, but get waylaid by sentimental attachments. A little every day is good. The main challenge will be my many cupboards full of kitchen equipment, crockery, pans etc. We only have a very few cupboards in the new house. Will have to add one or two. I would like to live minimally and shed stuff I don't really need.
We are leaving behind our very expensive range cooker which was here when we moved in. I don't like the way you have to have the fan on and it runs on for ages after you've turned the oven off. Very annoying when you have guests as we eat in the same room. I will pay for a new one as the vendors are taking theirs with them. DH is paying all the other extra expenses so it's only fair. I hope our buyers want it as otherwise we will have to get a gas engineer to remove it. Expensive.
Lots of love, Heather UK xxxxxxx7 -
Kelly, I'm so sorry about the pain you, your DYS and his friend's family are going through. Like Heather, my mind just balks at imagining the tragedy of one family going through so much.
Rita - Sorry I missed your birthday, Happy Birthday, dear heart! Hope New Mexico continues treating you well... I'll be in Carlsbad for a four-hour meeting in late March. Not looking forward to all the driving--one of the things I do not miss about West Texas and the southwest is the driving!
I do read everything, but comment on the few that stick in my mind, so apologies to anyone I've missed. Welcome to all the new ones, don't feel you must comment on everyone's top of mind shares - a few are capable, but I drove myself crazy the first few months I was on the forum replying to everyone. Now, I comment on what I remember, and the rest is forgiven by all and sundry. So far, anyway!
Biggest grant application of the year going out the door (finally) today after a six-month run-up to the finale. Being printed in El Paso, so monitoring that from here. Also one (hopefully single) error on the 950 invitations that went out last week, that I found out through a less-than-happy e-mail from my boss late yesterday evening. After beating myself sufficiently, I finally reminded myself that a) if I were perfect, I'd just be annoying, and b) I may not be perfect, but I'm not my predecessor. Sort of a private joke that only Rori will understand, but hopefully will bring a smile to her face. Let's just say Marnell was no angel, and leave it at that.
OK, more stuff to do, and now that I've had my sanity break, it's time to get back to it!
Love y'all,
Lisa in NC for now11 -

I'm a recluse who thrives on isolation. So my first challenge is to participate in a group activity.
March Objectives
Get BP below 200. Walking is supposed to help with that, I am taking new meds
Get Blood Glucose (fasting) consistently below 7.0
Lose 4 lbs by end of month.
Any success this month will ONLY happen if I leave my home and get out and walk.

The link is for Kick Sugar Summit. I found the interview with Chef AJ very enlightening.
https://go.kicksugarsummit.com/daily_event-page-monday-2018?utm_campaign=Here+s+Your+First+Day+of+Speakers+-+The+Kick+Sugar+Summit&utm_content=Here+s+Your+First+Day+of+Speakers+-+The+Kick+Sugar+Summit&utm_medium=email&utm_source=ActiveCampaign
The videos are available for 24 hours and a new set will be posted each day through 3/11.
I am addicted to sugar. Anytime I gain weight it is due to indulging in sugar. Chef AJ promotes abstinence including sugar alternatives such as stevia.
I was able to resist sugar for the first few days of a recent cruise, but then went overboard. (I tried pavlova for the first time).
I am back on track with Keto today.

Tonight ceramics and mahjongg. I'm thinking that the guy drilled the holes for my ball too small.
Beth - if your sons's roommate doesn't want that apartment, I'll take it. Sounds lovely. I'll consider it as long as it's in NC....lol
Terry VT - cat cuddling was how I got Vince to keep from getting a fifth cat. Good thing, too, because we'll be getting Jessica's cat while she's in school.
Wendy - (((HUGS))) Good for you not giving in to buying
Beans - welcome!

Another great ride on the horse I have to sell (well, I don't have to but if I want to be down to three horses I do. Finally sold the mare I rescued this weekend. I meant to buy her get her well and find her a home. Well 15 months and $3000 later I sold her for $300. I hope they train and use her like they said they would. She isn't behaving for them. Hope I didn't do the wrong thing.
Anyway, hope all is well with everyone.

Mary still waiting for the snow. It might come tonight. It is windy today and grey.
Kelly so sorry about your friend losing her son.
I am going to start buying some paints so if I feel the project is too ambitious for the session I can finish it at home. I noticed on the paintings I am not as happy with it is because I rushed to finish. The last thing I added I was least happy with in the paintings. I have done five of these so far.
Still working on sleep. If I go too early then I wake up in the middle of the night. Still working at finding that right bedtime.

Hi Sisters, WOW, I just had a fantastic run. Took my wild heart down to the beach for a barefoot run in the wind with Jock and Lacey to double and triple my enjoyment. I just want to share with you the song that I played over and over while I ran. It might just be my all time favourite running song. It has strong, inspiring lyrics and a great beat. It starts like a rap song, which isn't that cool to run to, but as soon as the main refrain kicks in I can't fault it. You just have to listen past the first 15 seconds. So if you need a motivating work out or running song to pump you up I recommend: Imagine Dragons- Whatever It Takes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOsM-DYAEhY

(((Machka))) I hope you get your insect bite situation resolved. It sounds miserable. :flowerforyou:
KJ: Prayers for your friend who has lost her oldest son. Words fail me and my heart is aching for her.
Margaret: Happy Snow Day!!!
Pip: Fabulous photo of you and Kirby. :flowerforyou:
Heather: Congrats on so many things--your house purchase seems to be progressing well, and your success with going alcohol free is admirable. I need to go alcohol free, too, so I'm jumping on the bandwagon right now. I want to feel better.
Beans: Welcome to a great group.
I'm serious on the alcohol free comment. I'm going to focus on peppermint tea in the evenings. It is warm, soothing, and delicious without any additions.
