@genchiyu and @GrandmaJackie Thank you! I’m always amazed that I inspire others.
@eminater Thank you! I think it’s wonderful that the internet allows us all to be connected!
@gen724 Today is 3/20 and my weight is this morning’s weight. My comments usually specify which day they refer to - “too many carbs yesterday” or “going to lunch with friends today.” That’s just the way I do it. Everyone may do differently.9 -
Happy first day of spring everyone!

Back from Vacation and I think I am up 11 lbs. It should be a lot of water weight and if I get back on track I should be close to where I was in a 2 weeks or so. SO is still home so the first few days will go slow. Back at work with my packed lunch going in the correct direction.
Day/Weight/Comment
3/19 - 161.2 ... Ready to see those 5's again.
3/20 - 158.4 ... 14,940 steps and 1262 calories. Cutting calories for a few days. Happy to see a 5 again. SO might be working in town for the next month BUT will be harder to hold my calories and get my steps in.

@marspdx74 Create a note in your phone or document in your computer. Update that daily then copy and paste to the forum. You will have a record for the future, if you want it, and it is easy to update.2

Marie (Round 35 – Newbie)
Age: 39
Height: 5’6”
Goal this round: Lose 5 pounds from start date (3/19) to end date (3/28)
Goal Weight: 140 lbs.
Total weight to goal: 37.4 lbs.
Day/Weight/Comment
3/19 – 189.6 lbs. – Ugh! The luck of the Irish was not with me…or maybe it was as I had A LOT of things this weekend I shouldn’t have and it could be worse. Drinks, pizza, snacks, diet soda, etc. I know some of the weight I gained over the weekend will fall off as it is water weight and bloating, but I need to get a handle on my social eating/drinking to be successful. I have talked with the hubby and he has agreed to help me say “No,” even when I really don’t want to. I didn’t track this weekend (or for a while now) so my goal is to track everything from here out. I’m also going to get back on track with my exercise. I’m going to give you ten days, but more importantly, I am going to give myself ten days and more!
3/20 – 187.2 – Alright. So…a loss is a loss is a loss. I know most of it is just “getting rid” of the junk I had in my system from this weekend, but I’m okay with that! I’ll take it and wear a smile all day because of it. I couldn’t exercise yesterday, but I did stay within my calorie count. My daughter got into a fender bender this morning and my son has a double header today, so I doubt I’ll get a chance to workout today, but I am going to make good food choices. I am also going to start researching a KETO diet to see if it would work with my already crazy gastroparesis dietary restrictions. I know nothing about it, but I have heard some rave reviews from everyone who has done it, including @quiltingjane success here.

@SheilaBoneham Good morning to you and beautiful Lily!
@brightresolve I seem to be in a funk myself. I barely manage to get out of my chair much less do a workout! Trips to refill my water glass and go to the bathroom are the majority of my steps. We’ll get through this together!
@mariec1978 I love Keto but have to read about your disorder. Research, research, research. The Obesity Code by Jason Fung, MD, is extremely informative about many weight loss plans and what works long term and what doesn’t.8 -
@NasiiM3 I have learned that it can take 2 or 3 days for what and how I ate to be reflected on the scale.6

Female, 5'4"
Starting Weight: 135 lbs
Goal Weight: 115 lbs - Met in late 2017
I met my goal weight in late 2017. My new goal now is to stay around 115 average. Lately I've been ranging around 109-111 lbs. Since switching to a whole food plant based diet, I can't seem to stop losing weight, despite reintroducing alcohol into my diet. It's about the seemingly unimportant decisions. But consistently making them everyday is what leads to success.
Goal This Round: Maintain 115 lbs Average
3/19 • 109 • Ran 3.5 miles & lifted weights. 1750 cal. 3 glasses of wine.
3/20 • 110 • Ran 3.5 miles & lifted weights. 1400 cal.

This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.
So far this has been ALL KETO - NO EXERCISE! I’m within a few pounds of my goal!
3/19 139.5 I’m in shock! 2 days below 140. Now to continue the trend! I leave for my 50 year high school reunion one month from today!
3/20 139.5 This is REAL!!! I am thrilled! 2.5# to my WW goal from 10 years ago.
I have been using the Senza app to track since just before Christmas. My older daughter started Keto when we visited her over New Year’s week and also started using Senza. Yesterday she entered what used to be her normal food for a day just to see how different Keto eating is. Her calories were over 3000her fat was 107g and her Net Carbs were 346g! Currently her calorie goal is around 1500, her fat 132g, and Net Carb limit is 25g. In Keto, you have a carb LIMIT, a protein GOAL, and use fat as the LEVER to keep satisfied. She has lost 20 pounds since January 1. Her only issue was that she did not cut back on carbs prior to starting as I had advised her and her first day back at work she had a sugar plunge. That’s her Keto story in a nutshell. The Ketogenic diet has been used for almost 100 years to treat epilepsy. Other health issues have been shown to be helped with it also. It’s really quite fascinating to me that so many medical professionals don’t acknowledge its effectiveness. My first “take away” from The Obesity Code was that “doctors are trained to treat diseases not to prevent them.” Climbing off my soapbox now. This is our experience only and not medical advice. I am not a medical professional just a satisfied “customer.”6 -

Day/Weight/Comment
3/19 - 186.0. Back to where I was last week. So far today I've gotten in 9500 steps and my food intake reflects reasonably good choices. Had a deficit of ~1000 calories; walked 12,500 steps; water 48 oz; sodium ok.
3/20 - 185.0 This was a pleasant surprise. I made and had soup last night. It took a little longer than my usual meal prep, but it was delicious. I thought this morning's weigh-in might reflect a late dinner, but not today. So, far my food choices are good today, but the weather sucks... and the forecast is worse.

3/20 182.2 a bit better, but still stupidly high. Decided to do IF (5/2) for two days a week and see if that helps get me back on track with my habits. Our Spring break is in 10 days and I can't afford to buy new pants, lol.

Well, I have been reading all morning and Keto is out for now. There’s no way to adjust it to fit my issues as it just requires too much fat. I have to watch fat and fiber intake as those are harder to digest. Definitely going to check out The Obesity Code by Jason Fung because I have got to figure out what will work with my body. I have been struggling for YEARS and I’m just done. Ready to get my life in order.6
