Day/Weight/Comment
3/29 - 69.0 kg - hey, I had gotten to 70.00 for a couple of days, so being back in the 60's is good. Ate salmon for lunch and salad with juuust a little bit of pasta for dinner. Score score
3/30 - 68.8 kg - happy my cholesterol is in check, also looking forward to the weekend. Forgot my lunch card at home - not the best thing to do, since the other cafeteria serves only fast food. I'll try to find something tasty and healthy (I do love seemingly impossible missions).
3/31 - 68.6 kg in the morning. Going to eat Chinese food tonight though, so I expect a slight increase tomorrow.
4/1 - 69.4 kg - as assumed
4/2 - 68.9 - at the end of day. At least I am remaining in the 68's
4/3 - 68.3 kg in the morning... starting to wonder if my scale is malfunctioning... or are these the wonders of portion control and giving up on soda?
4/4 - dnw
4/5 - dnw
4/6 - dnw
4/7 - 69 kg - well at this point maintaining is a win for me. It's been a tough week, when all I could find in the cafeterias for lunch was french fries and rice and lots of pasta with lots of oil. Every healthy choice would be finished by the time I was able to go to lunch but hey, yesterday i managed to get my 10000 steps in, so there's that5 -

3/29 - 61.6kg (+0.1kg) - Happy new round people! Loss holding steady. I went for a nice walk in after dinner last night. I will be making my plan for the weekend over the next few days. Trying to maintain a steady loss during TOM this round so wish me luck!
3/30 - 62.7kg (+1.1kg) - Well I had a bit of a blow out last night. I have had a really rough year so far in 2018 and I have been managing as best I can. Seems I am running low on resilience though. A couple of things happened yesterday to tip me over (huge, ill-advised change to one of my projects from our CEO and a trip to the hospital) and I just thought "you know what, *kitten* this *kitten*" and went and ate all my feelings. It was delicious and I know why it happened so things are ok. Scale reflecting the food I ate not my overall weight loss trend.

I wanted to end the challenge strong but co-worker picked up food for us for lunch (yes I could have said no but didn’t) and then husband and I ate out for dinner. That’s okay...really it is. My ending weight is lower than the starting weight so I am pleased with that. I’m signed up for the next challenge, that is my goal for the next one too....end wejght be less than starting weight.7 -

3/29 273.5 I like the start so far just a rest day so no lifting going to do some light steady state cardio rehab shoulder work feel like a dope lifting 5lb kettlebell and struggling but gotta do it
3/30 274.8 A little surprising but was a tad sick with upset stomach so guessing my body sucked in some water as was under calorie and did a light cardio for my off day at gym
3/31 272.8 Nice Woosh surprising went to opening day and ate ok but not my normal range of foods and not "clean" as normal so maybe I can lose weight and still enjoy everything in moderation
4/1 272.5 It wasn't a dream got good walk in yesterday and hopefully today goes the same
4/2 274.0 Damn easter bunny
4/3 273.5 Back on track stated new job and hurt my back yesterday so taking off today from the gym so need to watch calories close today
4/4 273.1 Still going down back still sore so no gym again today walking even is painfull
4/5 270.5 Guess the gym is overated had to weigh myself 4 times today I didn't believe it was actually over about 100 calories yesterday too taking another day off gym back still sore but starting to feel better
4/6 270.5 Will take it back is almost 100% planning on a hike today and gym tomorrow
4/7 269.6 (-4.4 lbs) How about that always good feeling when drop a ten off the number. Lost more weight not working out out so will gain I'm sure some water back when I ramp it back up next week will do a light gym session today see how everything feels had bad leg cramp last night still hurts this morning but very happy with last 10 days.
Nothing works unless you have a sustained calorie deficit over time. Anything will work if you have a sustained calorie deficit over time.
Motivation is overrated. What you need is education, willingness to eat less, a good plan, and discipline to stick to it.
According to Big Fat Myths: When You Lose Weight, Where Does the Fat Go? which is an interesting perspective on "diet" 148oz / 9.25 lbs of food/water/oxygen a day but depending on how efficient everything processes we don't operate on a perfect 24 hour cycle to use all that so you get those fluctuations. I think that is semi comforting to keep in mind we are not robots and CICO doesn't operate at perfect 24 hour scale either.6 -
Okay, I am in. I have to weigh every day for medication control anyway, so it would be nice to have a challenge attached to it. Starting weight 230, goal weight Onderland, (would be happy there)- ultimate goal 180.

3/31 212.4 WTH? Ate to a deficit and I get this...Full Body Lift this am-hope for tomorrow
4/1 212.5 Ok, this officially sucks. Ate to a deficit. Ran a 5k this am. Abs. It's gotta be the sodium.
4/2 210.7 Heading in the right direction. Chest today. Monday is International Chest Day!
4/3 210.9 Ate to a deficit. Back workout. No cardio since Sunday.
4/4 210.9 Ate to a deficit. Skipped legs(IKR). Not used to not dropping quickly.
4/5 213.2 Went over. Was at 2500cal. Did legs today. So more than when I started and I've barely went over a deficit twice and cut out all drink except water. Very frustrating.
4/6 210.0 Ate to a deficit. Wayyyy better. Long way to goal but at least that spike is gone. Shoulders today.
4/7 209.9 Ate to a deficit. Ate back my little bit of exercise. Arms today.
*Thank you all. I passed on some friend requests because I am not sure that I'll be beck. Ate and DRANK quite a bit better being accountable here. This was a valuable learning lesson and I wasn't going to give up in the middle. I need to do some rethinking about how my body is. I either need to amp the cardio up or look at what I need as a cut. Worked very hard to put on muscle and i don't want to lose it. Have a ways to go before my pants fit better.

3/29 196.6 I have noticed that in these weekly challenges that I will teeter back and forth and the have a 2 or 3 pound loss, right at the end. I love that this keeps me on track and motivated, but it is also an argument for the once a week weigh in. For now, I am sticking with you guys, cause it is working!

3/29 - 195lbs. major munchies late last night so kinda surprised at a loss.
3/30 - 195lbs - surprising after eating 800 calories worth of turkey burgers last night.
3/31 - 196 - up 1 pound -oh well I was just following doctors orders to eat less greens. maybe 20oz ground beef patty was a little overkill. but so yummy. I do love meat.
4/1 - 195lbs - my children nicknamed me the cause of obesity and with everything on the menu today I believe they speak the truth.
4/2 199lbs - ba ha ha ha- I guess 4853 calories is a lot. at least my sugar was under 20.
4/3 198lbs - bad lunch. okay dinner and now the weekend bottle is gone. maybe I can make a little progress before another weekend,
4/4 198lbs - really beating myself up over a few pounds. after eating a pound of leftover Easter lamb I vowed not to eat again last night. only had one beer. logged in at calorie goal. didn't sleep well. the fresh snow is beautiful and my coffee is delicious.
4/5 195lbs – eat 300 calories under goal. Vowed no whiskey unless I did cardio. First time on the bike in weeks. Spent an hour sweating my @#% off just for a few drinks. I sure did sleep good.
4/6 195lbs – I am definitely okay with this weight. I still have a slow goal but learning maintenance is just as important to me.
4/7 195lbs - well my weight stayed the same this round but the scale says I have lost 1% body fat in the last 2 weeks. I didn’t notice the 40lbs loss until this week. I need all new pants and shorts

4/7 184.4 I’m pretty happy with the numbers, but getting there required additional food (for energy) and a horrendous amount of exercise.... I kinda feel gross. I have a shotty thyroid so the extra effort required just to not gain, let alone lose has been a real struggle. I enjoy exercise but my legs have dull pain constantly.
I’ve decided to finally get on medicine even though I really don’t like taking medications. I’m asthmatic from an accident, and already have inhalers, and it just seems like so much.
This was a great motivator for me, and everyone’s notes have been so inspiring. I feel tired but really optimistic.
I’m down 5 lbs from this, so cheers, all!7 -

Day/Weight/Comment
4/3 - 183.0 I had been down to 181 but I've been stuck back up at 183 for about a week. I know I need more exercise and I've also been over-snacking at work!
4/4 - 182.2 I'm glad to see a loss. I had extra calories leftover last night so splurged on ice cream, but then it was so good and I was hungry so I ate double the amount I was planning to eat and ended up going over my calories. Why did I do that? It was really good ice cream....
4/5 - 180.4 Yeah! I don't usually celebrate this unless it sticks for a couple of days so we'll see. Went out to dinner last night to celebrate a promotion at work an had an amazing steak and ceasar salad. I passed on the FREE dessert they were offering (yay me!) and managed to come in just over my daily calorie goal.
4/6 - 180.4 Pleasantly surprised to see this. I've had a string of unplanned meals/eating out this week. Plan to spend time this weekend doing some meal planning.
4/7 - 179.8 Really!? I stepped back on the scale three times to see if it would change. Woohoo! I stopped logging halfway through the day yesterday because I was at a conference and it was just too hard to keep up. Not sure this will maintain, but I'll take it!6 -
