4/8 213.4. Went to a family gathering yesterday. Really could of have been bad on the scale today so....I am happy.
4/9 214. Hmmmm. Family gathering finally caught up to scale...6 -
I'm back. Took a few rounds off because weighing everyday and not seeing the scale move as fast as I thought it should was affecting me mentally. I know that the scale lies, but it was hard to not see the scale move at the rate I thought it should. Regardless of the scale my clothes are fitting looser and I'm getting stronger, so I am doing good.

4/8- 131.8- lowest I've weighed in in a while! Ran 8 miles, helped in-laws move, and did yard work, so it was a super active day. Meal prepped a smoked salmon quiche for my lunches this week.
4/9- 132.4- not surprised to see this fluctuation despite a healthy, active weekend... it's water-retaining time of the month for me, so I'll be carrying a little extra around until about Saturday

This is Round 10 for me. I had a rough end of Round 9, but there are things to look forward to. I'm officially going to start a keto WOE on Monday, 4/16, and I'm going to work on cutting down my carbs significantly before then (to get myself in the mood).

Goal for this round: 202.0
Day/Weight/Comment
4/8 = 207.0 (-0.4). Played basketball yesterday, but had parents over and took them out to dinner to my favorite Mexican place. At least weight is heading in the proper direction.
4/9 = 205.4 (-1.6). BOUNCE BACK™. I had a good day eating yesterday, topped off by my favorite salad from a relatively healthy restaurant. Went grocery shopping for the week and tried to look around for some easy ready-made stuff that will work in a pinch when I start keto next week, and was able to find a couple of things (which was nice). My wife and I started our SL 5x5 last night, and I only wanted to spank her once or twice as she argued with me regarding a program I have done extensive research on (and that she knows NOTHING about). We got through it. I'm really happy to see my weight headed back down relatively quickly. As much as I know big spikes in weight are very temporary (as long as I'm being accountable and generally staying the course), it still sometimes feels traumatizing to see them. I'm going to begin to cut down on my carbs and stay away from all sweets this week (except my birthday on Saturday) in preparation for my new lifestyle.

4/8 148.4 This is my plateau. This is where I sabotage myself and gain it all back. I'm pushing through it this time. FTDI day 6.
4/9: 148.8 I was under my calorie goals but rested. I'm on heavy duty medication due to rotator cuff tendinitis. I think I'll save the muscle relaxers for night time so that I can do cardio during the day.

Starting Weight: 135 lbs
Goal Weight: 115 lbs - Met in late 2017
I met my goal weight in late 2017. I've been ranging around 109-112 lbs since January. My new goal now is to get down to 24 inch waist & 19% body fat. I'm currently at 25.75 inch waist & 20.2% body fat. I'll work towards this by continually increasing my strength training goals every month. I would love to have ripped abs & tank-top triceps by summer.
Goal This Round: Maintain 115 lbs Average
4/8 • 110 • Played 2 sets of tennis yesterday. 2050 cal.

@jerier and @MadisonMolly I also weigh almost everything especially ingredients!
@brightresolve Sending prayers.
@CaliMomTeach It should come off fairly quickly. I bet a lot of it is water.
@k25rogge I wonder why those 140’s are so rough to get out of?!?
@Tracie_Lord You are doing GREAT.
@mrmcgrath I find it takes 2-3 days for food to decide if it’s sticking or leaving. That might explain your gain. At least that is my experience.
@MadisonMolly I use the last weight in the previous round as my starting weight in the new round just as if there was no break. Otherwise, I was losing the drop from old day 10 to the new day 1. Does that make sense?3 -

The daybed is covered with clothes that were a little small when I bought them last summer. They will either fit now or be too big! When I hit this weight last week, did I say I hadn’t visited this number since 2011? 10 days til HS reunion!9 -

Yay!!
@mrmcgrath I find it takes 2-3 days for food to decide if it’s sticking or leaving. That might explain your gain. At least that is my experience.
@quiltingjaine Yes!! I actually looked at my daily calorie counts with exercise steady & saw it took 2-4 days for the things I’d eaten (or not eaten) to show on the scale. “I frequently see people saying I did everything right, but...” No but! You DID do everything right & it WILL show in 2-3 or 4 days!!!
@MadisonMolly I use the last weight in the previous round as my starting weight in the new round just as if there was no break. Otherwise, I was losing the drop from old day 10 to the new day 1. Does that make sense?
@quiltingjaine Thanks! I will do that, too! Makes perfect sense. I’ll fix that in tomorrow’s post.
Have a wonderful day! BTW- have you seen the daily temperature quilts? Such fun!3
