3/31 Walked in Badger State Brewing 10K / goal <1:35 / weather forecast rain/snow mix ~ yippee ~ We got everything the weatherman predicted: snowed like crazy at start, then rained, then VERY windy. Race had 160 no-shows. I tried not to think of how squishy my shoes & socks became, and didn't feel cold until the finish, when I realized my gloves & outer clothes were soaking wet. Very happy with my time of 1:30:28.82 ~ that's average pace of 14:35 ~ walking! Fitbit 23,142 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 & 39 floors.
04/01: 154.0 Easter Sunday ~ not logging food or adult beverages / enjoying church & family at our house for dinner ~ have a blessed Easter!
04/02: 156.0 Expected ~ most certainly high sodium, not sure what else. Rest day / no workout. Fitbit 7,521 steps, 250+ steps 10/14 & 16 floors.
04/03: 154.5 PTO day at home / walked dog 4.15 mi 1:08 & happy dog. Fitbit 14,330 steps, 250+ steps 11/14 & 36 floors. Ate Easter leftovers in moderation / net calories green, sodium & sugar red (not bad), fiber & protein low, and 14c water.
04/04: 155.0 PTO day at home / too much Easter candy. Spring snowstorm & shoveled 4" wet, heavy snow for 1hr ~ that was a real workout! Fitbit 10,812 steps, 250+ steps 7/14 & 47 floors.
04/05: 155.5 Not surprised ~ ate Easter candy and *ahem* retaining some waste. Net calories, sugar & sodium red, fiber & protein both little low & 14c water. Snow/ice on roads so back to treadmill before work / 3 mi 48:05. Fitbit 15,285 steps, 250+ steps 14/14 (boom!) & 50 floors.
04/06: 155.5 Net calories & sugar red, sodium green, protein & fiber little low & 15c water. On the bright side, Easter candy is almost gone. Treadmill (started late) before work 2 mi 32:58. Fitbit 13,700 steps, 250+ steps 14/14 (boom!) & 40 floors.
04/07: 154.5 Finally, net calories & sugar green (not by much) but sodium RED, fiber & protein low, 14c water. Brought leftover lemon bars to work & they disappeared! Also brought dinner leftovers to single co-worker who struggles at times. Made her happy & made my day! Treadmill before work / 3 mi 50:07 / stretched. Fitbit 12,845 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 (work intervened) & 37 floors.
04/08: 156.0 Late lunch was fast food including French fries (which hubby and I rarely eat nowadays), then binged on peanut M&Ms in evening ~ ack!!! Even stopped logging b/c counts were so bad. 04/09: 155.0 Net calories, sodium & sugar red (not too bad), protein good, fiber low (again) & 14c water. Walked dog 3.61 mi 1:02:54. Fitbit 14,819 steps, 250+ steps 9/14 (church + nap time) & 31 floors.
04/10: 154.0 Eating getting back on track ~ net calories -182, sugar -11, sodium green, fiber & protein good (yay!) & 15c water. Rest day / Fitbit 9,841 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 & 33 floors ~ also enrolled in the Wellness Step by Step Challenge at work (4/16 - 8/31) and added ChallengeRunner app to my phone ~ excited to do this!

Once more into the fray.... I've decided to start including my average calories for the round with my end weight so I can really get a sense of what works. I do keep my macros pretty steady, but calories fluctuate and the average matters more than daily in my experience. I'm interested to see that although I exceeded my calorie goal during the last round and my weight jumped around a bit, I finished pretty much where I started. So maybe my TDEE is higher than I think and in theory I could eat a little more than I thought and still lose. We shall see. Glad to be back - thanks for being here for support & inspiration!

4/8 - 149.6
After I posted yesterday, I decided to go a step farther for a longer view, so I averaged my daily calories for the past 30 days, during which my weight has been pretty steadily within half a pound of 149.5. Although my daily calories fluctuated from ~1400-2000, the average was 1549, which is 1 cal away from where I have put my TDEE for a while now (with minimal exercise). I really like having this data, and I'm since I do not want to cut my calories any more (metabolism & hunger), I'm happy holding steady here until I do get back to my typical activity level (soon!). It's easy to get wrapped up with the day-to-day and forget that reaching and maintaining a healthy weight is a long-term project - a lifestyle. Don't now if this helps anyone else, but it helps me a lot.
4/9 - 150.8
Eeek! But not a surprise - I had a major blow out yesterday. I knew what I was doing and did it anyway - I've been lusting after a pastry and some other things I don't usually eat, so I did it. And it's fine. Back on the wagon today with healthful food and lots to do.
4/10 - 150
A smidge better. I ate properly yesterday, still fending off my big splurge. Going out for lunch, but I'll be good.

4/8 -334.6 - This is a back up to past the starting point again. Plan on sticking to the plan more closely. It's been a rough few days making this number not all that surprising. I hope by sticking to the plan I'll ditch the water weight at least.
4/9 - 328.2 - Back on target for eating habits. I haven't gotten back into a routine of exercise, yet, due to the weakness and fatigue caused by my medications. I will keep trying to find the sweet spot in my day to get a good workout.

I'm back. Took a few rounds off because weighing everyday and not seeing the scale move as fast as I thought it should was affecting me mentally. I know that the scale lies, but it was hard to not see the scale move at the rate I thought it should. Regardless of the scale my clothes are fitting looser and I'm getting stronger, so I am doing good.

I met my goal weight in late 2017. I've been ranging around 109-112 lbs since January. My new goal now is to get down to 24 inch waist & 19% body fat. I'm currently at 25.75 inch waist & 20.2% body fat. I'll work towards this by continually increasing my strength training goals every month. I would love to have ripped abs & tank-top triceps by summer.

@puddlegoober - congrats on choosing Keto! Just be ready for the Keto Flu. It will be tough the first two weeks. You really need to food prep and plan to avoid downfalls those first two weeks. Once you tackle that you’ll find it pretty easy.
Thank you @Amjcance for the encouragement! I'm as prepped as I'm going to be (mentally), and I'm going to have the food prep set up starting Monday (over the weekend). I'm going to have bouillon available, and some other "drink" that some Keto folks use to help out with the "flu." I'm sure it will be a struggle, but I'm pretty stubborn.
And I'm really doing this for health reasons other than losing weight, too. I'm excited!

This is Round 10 for me. I had a rough end of Round 9, but there are things to look forward to. I'm officially going to start a keto WOE on Monday, 4/16, and I'm going to work on cutting down my carbs significantly before then (to get myself in the mood).

R37 SW = 207.4
Goal for this round: 202.0
Day/Weight/Comment
4/8 = 207.0 (-0.4). Played basketball yesterday, but had parents over and took them out to dinner to my favorite Mexican place. At least weight is heading in the proper direction.
4/9 = 205.4 (-1.6). BOUNCE BACK™. I had a good day eating yesterday, topped off by my favorite salad from a relatively healthy restaurant. Went grocery shopping for the week and tried to look around for some easy ready-made stuff that will work in a pinch when I start keto next week, and was able to find a couple of things (which was nice). My wife and I started our SL 5x5 last night, and I only wanted to spank her once or twice as she argued with me regarding a program I have done extensive research on (and that she knows NOTHING about). We got through it. I'm really happy to see my weight headed back down relatively quickly. As much as I know big spikes in weight are very temporary (as long as I'm being accountable and generally staying the course), it still sometimes feels traumatizing to see them. I'm going to begin to cut down on my carbs and stay away from all sweets this week (except my birthday on Saturday) in preparation for my new lifestyle.
4/10 = 204.2 (-1.2). Another BOUNCE BACK™. After freaking out 3 days ago (gaining 5 lbs in 2 days), it's nice to have again the experience of noticing things going back to normal as the days pass. Just about down to my SW from last round, and I couldn't ask for anything more at this point. I ate pretty well yesterday (slightly under maintenance), but I had a sugar binge (500 calories or so). I'm officially throwing out my remaining candy when I get home tonight. It's the Devil. I'll have a bit of my birthday cake on Saturday, but that's it for sweets for the foreseeable future. I need to figure out some Keto stuff on the subject of sweets (whether to subtract from total carbs fiber and sugar alcohols), but I think I'm generally just going to avoid them at this point, unless I learn something amazing. I need to get my taxes done, and I have some things from work that I need to accomplish at home, so I'm going to focus on that for the next couple of days (at the expense of exercise). I'll get back to the exercise on Thursday (SL 5x5 and my normal basketball night).

@MadisonMolly I have not seen the temperature quilts. I’ll have to google that!
@srclark89 You, your mother and your family are in my prayers.
@mz144 Is your migraine alcohol induced? I had migraines for decades - hormone induced. And when I had them, all I wanted to eat was crap - half pound Hershey’s were my first go to. They didn’t help the headache but that was always what I wanted.4 -

4/9 138.0 Water fitness this morning and I am going to begin to clean my sewing room. I have been in a funk and there is not a surface that isn’t buried! The daybed is covered with clothes that were a little small when I bought them last summer. They will either fit now or be too big! When I hit this weight last week, did I say I hadn’t visited this number since 2011? 10 days to HS reunion!
4/10 138.0. The last day of my 100 day challenge!
Interesting that I get an error message when I try to post my comments to @tiabirdie56 and @puddlegoober11 -
4/8 148.4 This is my plateau. This is where I sabotage myself and gain it all back. I'm pushing through it this time. FTDI day 6.
4/9: 148.8 I was under my calorie goals but rested. I'm on heavy duty medication due to rotator cuff tendinitis. I think I'll save the muscle relaxers for night time so that I can do cardio during the day.
4/10: 147.8 Yaya! I'm finding that by drinking 64 oz. really makes a difference! Got my cardio in yesterday.

Nope they're not - I wish there were because giving up alcohol would be so easy for me to do and fix these horrible migraines for good. I've realized that since I've been working out more consistently that I don't get them as frequently as I used to and they're also not so severe. I use to be on blood pressure medicine for migraines but wanted to find a more natural way to cure them as I don't have high blood pressure and would much better prefer to not be on any type of medication. Usually when I have them I just want to nap, not many good cravings as I'm usually nauseous but naps don't help either. Thanks for the insight though, it's always nice to know people are reading your post and thinking about you!

4/9 - I was so happy the scale went the other way. Going to take it easy today. Today is my grand-daughter birthday so I want to keep the swelling down. I only sleep on the average 3 hours.
4/10-Everyday I feel stronger and stronger. The swelling goes from my head to the bottom of my neck. I went shopping today that felt good. Walking steps -6,500 I have to be very careful wth eating, trying to eat healthy!7 -

04/08/148.2 lbs/Forgot to weigh in before I ate breakfast. Going out with the girls tonight and so I'm not too sure how that will effect my weight tomorrow morning but I'm aiming to eat healthy all day and have already picked out my meal for the restaurant that we will be going to. Doing the best I can for today and then for the remainder of this challenge I will be tracking everything I eat very closely.
04/09/148.2 lbs/Was slightly disappointed to see the same number but even more determined to make sure that the number made a downward move in the near future. Kept up with healthy eating and did a walk on my lunch hour and a workout in the evening.
04/10/145.5 lbs/WOW, now that was quite the drop. I wasn't feeling too well in the middle of night. That may have contributed to such a low number this morning or I just benefited from 2 days of healthy eating and the scale spit out a lower number at me. I will be interested to see the number tomorrow. Today is a BREAK day for me from exercise but my food was completely on POINT.
