Feel absolutely wrecked today - not sure why! Isn’t it strange how some days you fly through your usual routines and others it’s like wading through treacle?! And I “feel” heavy today. I’ve stayed well within goal but I just instinctively know I’ll be up tomorrow! Anyway, quite relieved to be at the end of the day and looking forward to a bit of life admin time as I’m out of class tomorrow afternoon...
Tuesday goals
- morning workout ✅
- Confirm parent meeting ✅
- 12k steps ✅ 15k+
- 3ltr water ✅
- Gift for A tomorrow
- Stay within calorie goal ✅
- Arrange play dates ✅
- Early night ✅
Wednesday goals:
- morning workout
- Prepare handover for afternoon
- Reading assessment for at least 8 pupils
- Make GP appt
- Gift for A and O
- Phone lawyer
- Bills
- 12k steps
- 3ltr water
- Stay within calorie goal

Hope everyone is doing ok. Recovering from injuries, trips away, work pressures, new babies and all of life’s other challenges!
Night all x5 -
@sallyjayne1908 welcome, welcome! This is a great support group---but you've got to show up on a regular basis for it to work for you!
@MLHC1 Congrats to you and your hubs for the latest addition! As I'm sure you know, Noah means "rest, comfort." And that is my prayer for you: that this little guy will have the gift of comfort and compassion and that as he grows he will give a sense of peace and rest to those around him.
@Gzuschick Let us know how you did! Did you find yourself singing "Climb Every Mountain" in your head???!!!
@Snowflake1968 Welp, you started well, (water) and ended well (walk)!! And those two things are great accomplishments!
@cschmitz110515 and @Saragirl2 Making comparisons can really sabotage us, and yet so many of us continue to do just that. Eleanor Roosevelt said: “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” I think we must consciously and continuously choose to halt looking at what others are doing and then feeling inadequate. Instead, let's choose to look at others and be inspired and encouraged! Peace and JOY! as you choose to turn away from comparing yourself to others, @Saragirl2. And frankly, I appreciate you sharing this struggle because it has made me more aware of what I need to choose to be doing as well.
@HGSmith0920 Thanks for the welcome! You are doing a great job of working at making your marriage a success. And it IS work! Two uniquely created people communicating and living under one roof wanting to live harmoniously with each other takes constant effort. Since you are a Believer, I will share my husband's and my wedding/marriage verse: Eph. 4:32. I regret not putting it into practice more when we were newly married---it requires putting self second, something I found difficult to do. But we have been going 32 years now and I'm glad we stuck with each other as we enjoy being together...most of the time, lolol!!!5 -

Thanks, I am having a much better day today too!

Take every bite captive
I'm running behind today and wanted to catch up with some folks so I'm keeping this short. Sometimes we are convicted to improve ourselves---that's why most of us are on this health journey, right? Something or someone triggered us and convicted us that we need to be healthier and take better care of our bodies.
But I want to encourage all of us to choose to stop negative thoughts coming in, which is different than realizing we need to make changes in our lives. Negative thoughts are the enemy. They destroy with just a whisper that can turn into waves of continuous negativity. Let's be vigilant in keeping them out. When a negative thought begins creeping in, stop it by replacing it with something positive. Turn on uplifting music. Call someone who is a positive person. Let's not give negative thoughts the power to destroy and discourage. It's a Stinkin' kind of Thinkin'!!! Peace and joy5 -
@toaljasa Thank you for that verse. I just read it. I have heard it before but I guess never thought much of it. The DH and I have great communication and over the last 6 months, his temper has decreased incredibly. I think we've only had 3 or 4 fights and most of them weren't even really fights. Lol. We try to model our marriage after my parents who have the best relationship I've ever seen. I think we do a good job too. We try to live together as the Lord wants us to. My parents have been married 40 years this year so they know what they're doing. Lol. They haven't always had the best times but they have always held on to each other and the Lord. At the rate the DH and I are going we are going to go strong into the future.
Anyway, sorry for the ramble! Lol8 -
For those who were gone for awhile --- I had changed my User ID ---- I used to be Joan6630. (New User ID mytime6630). I should have just kept the 6630 --- but I can't change it again Hubby was worried my acct was hacked into, so to please him, I changed the user ID and password. But just wanted to let you guys know that have been gone for awhile.3

I can't find my goals -- and then realized last nite I did not even get on here to post! And .... I had to go back like 8 pages!!! Such a active thread - and a big welcome to any newcomers!
To those who were regulars and are now back = so happy to see you back. (Also, my user ID used to be joan6630 --- I changed it to mytime6630 --- but its still me on here
But I did so much better today --- I seemed to have more energy (maybe its the nice weather finally!). Went to the gym, and did 90 minutes on the treadmill + weights. Then came home, and hubby was tired as its been a busy week work-wise, but while he took a short nap, I got into cleaning. Cleaned a area in our office that I had been dreading -- but so glad to have it done. Then worked out in the yard for almost 3 hours -- mostly weeding flower beds.
But it feels nice to have a day where I had energy and felt good. So hoping to repeat this tomorrow. I am going to try again tonite to call my son. I was not leaving him messages, so hubby thinks maybe he doesn't see that I called him. I try not to bother him ... I know he is so busy .... but just love to hear his voice . He is only 38, yet CEO of 4 companies, and every other week, he has his kids while going through the divorce. So as a mom, I do worry about him ... I just wish he was closer to us.
Now I am going out for a short walk. I've already brushed my teeth, and since we had a late dinner, hoping to not get the urge to snack --- I'll try and keep busy sewing instead.
JFT, Wed
1. go to the gym
2. log all food
3. concentrate on 8+ glasses of water. BTW --- How are you guys doing on the April Challenge of 8+ glasses of water each day?
4. work on file cabinets -- try to organize
5. mow the grass
6. laundry
7. work on quilt in the evening
8. get back on here - be accountable
TIny Habits:
1. after my shower .... I will take my vitamin
2. after breakfast .... I will fill up my water bottle
3. after I put the dishes in the dishwasher after dinner .... I will brush and floss my teeth to keep from snacking.6 -

Hi all
Thank you so much for welcoming me into the group!
Had a terrible first day as I look at my check in but my day changed drastically with a friend being diagnosed with an agressive cancer and I took his daughter to her gymnastics class after work. Things like this does put everything in perspective so not beating myself up too much and will always be there for anyone in need. It also makes you appreciate the health you do have and motivates you not to abuse it,
It would be very easy to not make myself accountable for today but that would start bad habits so hear we go!
Tuesday check in
1. Stay under my calorie goal6 -

Oh sallyhjayne, I am so very sorry to hear of your friends diagnoses. Yes, things like this make us realize what is important in life.
You take good care of yourself. Great job also in just coming back on here and being accountable.

So onto my JFT, 4/24/18
1. Log all food I prelogged pretty much everything and had to delete a few things actually. It was a nice feeling
2. Make wise food choices Had a salad for lunch, and a "bowl" of food for dinner. Pretty much meat/starch/veggie layered in a bowl. Very very yummy and quick clean up
3. Get up with DH @ 5 More like quarter to 4!!
4. Gym @ 6 I didnt really feel it until I got home from work tonight. I relaxed and started to hurt. Had to do some serious stretching
5. Work 815-515 Got to leave an hour early because I didnt get to take a lunch break
6. Mail letter on break See above. I didnt want to have to battle opposing traffic to go after work
7. Preliminary budget work Our whole banking network was down for about 2.5 hours. The only thing I had access to was my email and the internet. None of my programs were working. So this kind of put a damper on my desire to mess around with my own numbers
8. Dinner(Balsamic Chicken/Pot/Veggie)/Dishes Was yummy!
9. DH time We watched a good hearted movie that had a surprisingly dark/sad ending and I bawled like a baby. I am one of the sappiest people in the world. I cry over songs that are particularly poignant and those sappy holiday commericals and things. It's pretty terrible.
10. Power off by 10 Considering it's a quarter after 10 that will not happen
11. Bed by 11 Hopefully this will.
Had a great day. Was a weird evening. Coming home early kind of screwed me up I think. Watching the movie also threw off my internal clock. The movie was something like 2.5hrs. It ended and it was 9:45!
Anyway, my day went well. Work was fine. So was the gym. The DH closes his store tomorrow and I dont have to go in until 10 so we will get a bit of a morning which will be nice.
JFT, 4/25/18
1. Log all food
2. Make wise food choices
3. Drink 3 bottles @ work
3. Gym @ 6
4. Coffee w/ DH
5. Work 1015-515
6. Mail letter on break
7. Make list of bills
8. Only 4 cups of coffee
9. D's house for dinner/organizing "date"
10. Home by 10
11. Bed by 1130
I think that is all I need to do for tomorrow.
I hope everyone has a great day!
