Prayers to you, Dawn!1

Hi all,
opted on Wednesday not to go on my treadmill and avoid possible toe or otherwise injury... Squeezed 3.25 mi in last night before bible study... felt good.
WI this morning was at 190.6 though I do need to monitor my inches.
This week was really busy, but I managed to cook every night... for lunch today I fell off the wagon and ordered a pizza with everyone at the office. Though the pizzas in Germany are all thin crust and I chose an all veggie topping: fresh tomatoes, zucchini, mushrooms, onions, and mozarella... There is another event going on in town this weekend and we'll be walking a lot tonight, so I think it'll be ok.
Our house is being painted and re-stuccoed, so there's scaffolding all around it... my poor dog is going bananas... closed all doors, blinds, and windows, hoping to drown out any possible noise... bad enough the poor guy has to sit at home alone (well not quite - he does have a bossy cat to keep him company) all day and then listen to stuff going on outside... I feel bad.. bad then again, I'd much rather be home with my dog than sit at work...
On a positive note - IT'S FRIDAY *happy dance*
Looking forward to my lunchtime walk in a bit, the weather is gorgeous!
Happy sunshiny day to all *wave*

FRIDAY
Good morning,
Learning new stuff at work is putting me to sleep so I am drinking decaf coffee again - that will have to stop. Tea and headphones today
Dawn - glad to hear about your gpa - it does sound encouraging. Sending good thoughts for you/your family.
Birgit - remember anything that you can do to counter your extra eating - walking/drink water etc. is better than nothing (major flash back for me). Glass is half full.
Suntan lotion under Lana's Palm Tree- how is the weather there Lana?
Lurking from work. Wave to all who follow.1 -
I'll go for the palm tree anytime - if there's still room...
just got back from a brisk 30 min walk, 1.6 miles, 216 cals burned... pizza came in at 707 cals, since I skipped breakfast, I still have over 700 for dinner... that'll work....
Question: MFP always gives me extra cals based on my fitbit steps. I usually ignore them and stick to my 1,200-1,500 cal goal. It seems to be way too much otherwise... like so far I have 5,352 steps, and MFP calculated an extra 961 cals for exercise...anybody have any thoughts or experience on this? Should I just disconnect my fitbit?1 -
Happy Friday all!
Birgit, I’ve noticed that the Fitbits calculate a much higher calorie burn that other trackers. For example, I have MFP connected to my iPhone step tracker and 5,300 steps would put me at around 100+ calories which seems more likely. As energetic as your walk may be, 900 calories burned seems unlikely!
It’s raining here today but should bring good weather for the weekend.
Waves to all,
Tess2 -
Hey Lana are we going to have to get a cboy search party started for you??
Before anyone gets jealous we can send one out for you too.......2 -
Hey All ~~
I am out in the middle of Wyoming, and the lifestyle here is to not be attached at all to one's devices. So I won't be here at the Cabana Club often until I get back to civilization on Thursday.
There is no scale here that I know of. Goodness!
I'm eating healthily for the most part, and yesterday and today my friend took me to her 60 minute water exercise class! Yay!! Will go Monday and Tuesday also.
I have to go back and read the posts.
Hugs to all who need hugs, and congratulations to those who have had a victory or two~~

Back in the saddle, thankful that MFP community keeps on trucking, motivated again, to quote Fred Astaire (I like old movies), "Pick myself up, dust myself off, start all over again!"2

Birgit - that pizza sounds yumnumy! I prefer thin crust, now...my tummy doesn't seem to like anything else... May be the restaurant, but I'll stick to thin anyway...lots of walking is definitely a good thing...I really need to get into that habit...
Lana - sounds like a good place to be, except for no scale.. I'm sure it's ok, if you are eating fairly healthy, walking and doing water aerobics... enjoy your time...
Sara - thanks...Gpa's tests all came back negative... they did EEG and 2nd CAT scan... keeping him one more night, just to be safe... mom says he seems good...I think, it's all part of disease and it's just going to get worse...
Tess - happy Friday! It was an odd one at work for sure...
rckeys88- welcome... this is a great place...
NSV for me... not only 1 but 2 people brought donuts to work, today... one was a dozen of glazed and I can easily avoid those...the other, was a dozen cake donuts with yummy choc icing and sprinkles... that was a little more difficult... thankfully, the lid to box stayed closed most of day... although, everyone kept leaving their half eaten donuts sitting around for me to stare at... but, I did not cave...I went to Subway at lunch, with every intention of getting one of their yummy wraps... lucky for me, I had to stand in line and read the signs..1 wrap is 730 cal! The sandwich I get, is 430! So, I opted for sandwich... although, as I stood there watching them make salads and reading how many calories less it was, I thought I should have gone that way... but, definitely learned just cuz it says wrap, doesn't always mean it's better for you...2 -
Lana are there cowboys where you are and any cboy cowboys???1

SATURDAY
Good morning,
Regular errands plus pick up dog meds - her allergies are bad just like everyone else's.
QOTD: What are people planning on making for meals this week?
AOTD: I am getting chicken to shred (although I think I have a bag in freezer, I dont know how long it has been there....) with beans and rice to make salads and who knows. A little open ended this weekend.

Sadly Sara, I have not seen a single cowboy, and definitely not a single candidate for a Cabana Boy.
Hopefully when I go on my cruise in June there will be plenty of possibilities!
Everyone have a great day today~~
Hugs,

Okay food plan is as follows-
Mushroom quiche - I have 2 fried rice and 2 enchilada servings in freezer. Making chicken for salads (up to 3) with black beans, rice (lime juice added when cooked), chicken, cheese and grape tomatoes (sour cream dressing). I will buy plain yogurt and a low sugar granola and use the frozen blueberries or sliced strawberries (got a nice basket of them this morning) for snacks to keep sugar grams lower. Boiling eggs to hard boil and take to work as well.
Missy - good to see you! How is your work going? Wedding plans?
Looking out window it is coworkers wedding and possible rain hope it doesnt get in her way today.
BBL.1 -
Grrr... this App really irritates me, sometimes...
Sara - meal plan sounds great
Missy - good to see you... hope wedding plans aren't too stressful..
Gpa is still in hospital... Dr never showed up... heart Dr said he needs more exercise and needs to be at home... Gma won't allow it... so frustrated with her...I just don't know what to do... he's going to wither away and die, all alone...0 -
SUNDAY
Good morning,
Dog up and fed, me more ZZZ?
Who asked how things were sleeping in the dark? Dog on allergy meds again let me sleep 6 hours straight. I have night lights and always have.
Groceries and then housework/cooking and maybe even a nap.

Good morning..
Gpa will finally be released, today. Around 11:00am... he's going back to nursing home... still don't know how to convince Gma to bring him home and get an aide...I just don't know...
Another nice day here... finally... and, no rain... no plans at moment....
Have a good day0 -
hi all.
busy weekend: meal planning, shopping, cleaning yesterday. pizza for dinner and all night out dancing. this "over forty" club night on the last Saturday of the month is getting to be a regular thing and so much fun. got home at 3 am this morning and already had over 5,000 steps...lol.... hubby doesn't like going out so it's just me and a friend out dancing till our feet are on fire.
slept in this morning. WI 189.2, same as yesterday. light breakfast with the hubby. business and car show in town, took a walk over there checking out some cars. cooking dinner now: pork loin chops with spring veggies. then a glass of wine and a movie. easy Sunday night
have a great day all!

Good evening,
Between waves in kitchen and dog walk is first.
Strawberries and blueberries with 1/4 cup of Love Crunch Peanut Butter/Dark Chocolate granola has 20 less grams of processed sugar with my plain greek yogurt , making chicken/black bean/cheese and lime rice salads with a sour cream dressing for a couple of lunches this week and a broccoli/ mushroom quiche is my last wave of the evening. Dishwasher will be full.
Wishing all a good night.3 -
Not sure I understand the thread here but saw the animal photos and they made me smile - rough day at work, found out a client is seriously ill. Best part of my day was lady with 3 huge rambunctious dogs. I have been seriously chewed on, rolled on, bathed with dog slober, and covered in fur. So far food has gone well today but scale doesn't seem to be moving.1

Oops just saw that this is from last year!0

MONDAY
Good morning,
Just to torture myself, I looked at this month's weigh ins - I am up 5 pounds in one month. I blame it partly on BP meds- so will hold onto long term numbers. 20 grams less sugar a day will also make a difference (see above post about yogurt).
Lana - too quiet/slow in Wyoming? That is probably why people move there.
Wave to all who follow, lurking from work.1 -
Happy Monday all... is there even such a thing?
We have a holiday tomorrow (Labor Day) so it seems weird to be working one day only to be off the next.
Had an abolute food frenzy yesterday .. felt horrible... WI this morning was still at 189.2 but it'll probably catch up with me in a day or two... though I did curn a lot of cal over the weekend, too... maybe it won't be so bad after all. Plans for tonight are taking the dog, hitting the treadmill for at least 3 miles and a light dinner. Just finished my 30 min 1.6 mi lunchtime walk... that ought to counteract my splurge somehow... only 22 more days until bikini time...
I, too, am at work and need to get back to it... just wanted to pop in and say hi. I enjoy this on a desktop so much more than on the phone...
Have a great sunshiny day1 -
Hi all,
Dawn~So sorry to hear about your Gpa, glad he is doing better and being released, sending hugs & good thoughts your way!
So on Friday I took my 16 yr old cat Sabrina to the vet thinking she had an ear infection, (she hasn't been eating much and is getting very unsteady when walking & jumping) the vet said no she didn't and suggested some blood work to see what is going on with her. Well the blood work came back & she has Stage 4 Renal Failure, Kidney disease & there is really nothing they can do for her other than keeping her in over the weekend for IV fluids, which would only give her a few more days. I brought her back home with me & talked with my family we have decided we have to put her down tonight, as nothing the vet could offer would save her & make her healthy again....Such a hard day! I am leaving work early to go spend as much time with her as I can, I have never had to do this with any animal before...I am such an emotional wreck!!.
Have a great day!
