Dumpster behind the local Texaco station. I remember it just like it was yesterday, the way she looked at me as I was peeling that honey bun wrapper out of her hair. Knew right then she was the one.

    she was my parole officer....

At least she’s a good influence on you.

    He said "was" ;)

I was assuming from parole officer she become something more serious. Helped him walk the right path and he never looked back.

A hardened criminal is more serious.

    Ah, the Viagra Heist

Showing my age, Video dating where you watched a vhs video and decided if you want to exchange numbers. And, you had to pay for the service. Over 20 years later and we are still together. It was worth it

    I think that's cute.

Don't feel bad, either. I remember when video dating existed! I didn't use it, but when I was 19 (in 1996) I did try a service through a local radio station...it was free, but you had to record a voicemail greeting and then you called in to get your messages from other members. Hilarious. I went on one date and the guy was quality but he was 32 and I was 19, and I wasn't about that. Not saying it's bad to have a big age difference, but I was kind of a young 19 and he was a normal 32 year old, so no.

My brother's gf and her bf thought it would be a fun thing to organize an area-wide youth bible study group. I met my future wife the first time I met with this group, and asked for my first date that day. Three years later we married and three more years later our first child came along.

A friend of our parents, who didn't really know either of us, set us up on a blind date. Aside from "Hi, how are you," the woman and I had had only one real conversation, about an artist. She thought that I was "interested in art" (not true at the time.) I liked writing and theatre and he liked music, so it was more like "the arts." Despite the woman's mistake, we made each other laugh on the first date and we've been laughing ever since. We just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary.
