How did you meet your SO?

I went to band practice (I was the lead singer/front man) after teaching a self defense class.
I was still in my workout clothes. She was dating my drummer at the time.
Several events along the way... We're married now.
She likes to say "She Yoko'd the band."
I let people know he wasn't a very reliable drummer anyway.
Yes, of course that is all true.1 -

High school. He was friends with my friend's older brother. Then we became friends. Then I asked him out. We dated for 8 years then got married. Now we've been married for almost 9 years, together for 17.3

Is this before or after your parents moved to Canada without you?0 -

I answered about 1200 (literally) questions on Ok Cupid and found this guy 5 years younger who was a 98% match and lived about 20 miles away. He sounded kind of arrogant in his profile but I've always had a weakness for ginger guys and thought he was pretty cute. His profile said he was 6'2" and I expected him to be my height (5'8") based on previous experiences with online dating, lol (I wouldn't have cared).
Anyway, I messaged him immediately and we chatted nonstop for 2 days and then met. Instantly became a thing. When I saw him on arrival I literally said "oh sh**" because he was tall, handsome, and way hotter than his photos. I'd just gotten divorced and wasn't looking for anything serious. haha
We've been together six years tomorrow, married five in the Fall. We went to the same college but not at the same time. He also used to come grocery shopping with his mom and dad when he was in jr. high and I was their cashier (as a college freshman).3 -
I had just met a guitarist and had jammed out with him a couple of times trying to find a groove… We decided there was no chemistry, but he told me he new a group of amazing musicians who were looking for a front man/woman. He had sent them a few clips of me singing without my knowledge and they wanted to meet me. I was hesitant to drive over an hour and try this again… in the end I took a chance and went. I had a few friends with me and had been partying like rock stars before getting there, I was not in top performance mode… At all… however, I apparently put on quite the show! He was the drummer. He said it was love at first sight. The chemistry musically was off the hook… we spent 3 years writing music, gigging and partying. I refused to entertain a relationship with him as I didn’t want a conflict of interest to interfere with the band. Well I finally gave in… We spent 9 years together. In that time we made every single one of our dreams come true. He gave me my most precious gift, my son. I often feel it’s a shame we didn’t make it, but I’m happy with where I am now in my life and it goes on.6

I was 38, newly divorced and newly sober. I decided to get my navel pierced at a local "clean and sober" tattoo parlor. He did the piercing and insisted that I come back in a few days so he could make sure it was healing properly.
I started hanging out at the tattoo parlor for the interesting company and the sobriety. We become friends, then it become so much more.
We were married about a year later; that was 17 years ago.3 -
I hit him with my car.
Just kidding, I think that only happens in the movies.
I met him at work, we still work together for the same company and married 21 years.8 -

And was he really concerned about your naval healing? Or was it just an excuse to see you again?0 -
I have had a crush on my wife as long as I can remember. Her father was my basketball coach and she was the grade ahead of me in in the same grade school. I used to care around her basketball schedule and ask my mom to take me to her games. When I was in 7th grade I worked up the courage to go up to her ask talk to her. I wanted ask her out. I walked up to her and said hi and asked how school was going. She said good and just walked away. I was crushed. Fast forward to the end of grad school. I said F it. I messaged her on Facebook. I told her I had always had a crush on her and wanted to take her to coffee. 7 months later we were engaged. A year after that we were married. Coming up on 6 years and baby #4 is on the way.6

Did she ever tell you why she walked away when you tried to talk to her?1 -
We met at the ER where she worked. I was hurt on the job when solder was splattered in my eye’s, while at the ER my mother who also worked there in a different department heard I was there.
After her motherly freak out session, her and the lady that checked me in plotted during their lunch break to hook me up with a certain nurse. However, she was on vacation so they decided to try this other girl that neither of them thought was right for me. More like I wasn’t right for her. However, we did hit it off, we were engaged in three months and married less than a year late.
22 years later and we’re still defying the odds.

We both worked at the same car dealership and were in relationships when we first met. I left for a few months but came back and we both ended up single. I messaged him (the night after I got dumped lol) and we went on a date a week later. We found out we went to different high schools but had the same friends, lived neighborhoods across from each other all our lives, but yet never met til we worked together. I first thought to just friend zone him since I had just gotten out of a 3+ year relationship but with how fate had it, I couldn't resist. Been together for over a year now and there's been lots of ring talk2
