When I first lost my weight (90 pounds) my face looked so old and I was kind of disappointed. But now, almost a year later, it seems as though things have sorted themselves out and parts of my face have filled out again. I don't know how that could happen. But I'm glad it did.
I just started a thread worrying about this. lol
This helps, thank you.
This was the main reason I grew a beard because my face was the first thing that became thinner.6 -
lol, that you are flipping freezing all the time ... even in summer12

That when you go an event there is almost nothing you should eat but everything you want to eat - carry your choice of snacks at all times!12

I am hopeful mine will. I am about to turn 60, and I worry that it may be partially age related and I may never get back to smooth(ish).4 -

I've noticed that now that my face is slimmer, more features tend to stick out. My nose looks GIANT to me now because it doesn't have fat cheeks to fill in the extra room.5 -

I was the recipient of some nasty neck wrinkles. You know like The Simpsons characters in the seniors home? I have that now. I have no wrinkles anywhere else. Just right in the middle of my neck. Ewww!10 -
The light hit my face just right in the mirror yesterday and I now have identical little indentations on either side of my face between my nose and where my cheekbones start. Not sure where this is going. lol9

Perhaps they are dimples that went off track? Sorry if you don't like them, but they sound ok to me.1 -

I was 485 lbs when I started my weight loss journey. Ive now lost 167 lbs. However I hate looking at myself in the mirror because I'm still fat, and I don't think I look any different than I did at 485.49

Clothing sales!!
Smaller sizes always on clearance... lol4 -
How using the foam roller would hurt so much less now that I lost 25% of my starting weight.
I've avoided that particular agony for a long time, but a trainer convinced me to do a 30 minute session on one today and while it was painful, it wasn't the agony I remembered.11 -

You are doing amazingly well and should be proud of yourself. The pressure on your joints is so much less! You are well on your way and if the mirror is not your friend it soon will be. I think it is impt to wear clothes the right size as you reduce. The temptation is to continue wearing your old clothes, even when too big to save money. However, clothes can mask your success and slow down the rate at which your weight loss is visible to you. Keep going, your health will certainly be thanking you and soon you will start to accept your mirror image with a smile.26 -
I can now see a marked difference in how I am treated by strangers, everyone from wait staff to store clerks to just random people now that I am thinner. I never realized the amount of negativity I was subjected to while I was obese, I refuse to ever treat someone different because of thier weight.33

I don't think anyone told me how much of a mental battle it would be. Not just "feeling fat" still... but I almost feel like am imposter. Like I am gonna fall off the wagon one day, have a massive uncontrollable binge, and wake up 70lbs heavier again.38

I agree about wearing the right sized clothes. I finally ditched the big ones and wore proper sized ones. Immediately everyone around me noticed and complimented me. Then I started to gain a lot more confidence.14 -

Major anxiety. I have continued to slowly drop while trying to maintain. I am trying to address that but it's hard. I am very fearful of old habits.11 -
@ChubbyMcChubface - to add that, while I get the humour of your username you may feel better about your weight quicker if you changed it. Build your confidence - don't knock it x

I knew life would be easier 60 lbs lighter, just didn’t know how dramatically easier it would be. Disney at 160 vs 220 - so much more fun. Riding rides, walking 12 miles a day, being hot, using public restrooms, looking decent after being poured on - all so much easier. I did gain a few pounds during that month of my son’s graduation and vacation. And I took it right back off within 2 weeks after returning. My BMI is still over 26. Not that close to ideal weight yet. So happy I could enjoy all this along the way. Seems like a miracle to me.31
