Finished c25k last week, tonight is my first official 5k! I guess it will be a 'victory' when it's finished but I'm already psyched.25

This morning I got into (and zipped up) a pair of jeans that I last wore in 2008 (when I got my weight down for the 2nd time ). OK, they were tight and I hung over the top a bit but I was in - hopefully wearing them comfortably is in sight. Each time I have got down to this weight I have gained it back very slowly - this time (my 3rd attempt) I am hopefully better prepared for maintenance when the time comes. Last time I never quite reached my goal weight before becoming complacent. This time I will!25

This is so me too! I am able to fit into 99% of all my pants right now (dragonpants, I eye you!). I had also gotten complacent before getting to my goal then got hit with health issues and gained back some of what I'd lost. So now, I'm quickly approaching no man's land where I have no idea what lies next. The road well travelled is about to be an adventure. This time, I'm sticking to the adventure!
In another NSV... I have almost tamed the dragonpants. I can get into them, but I do not fit them for sure (too much pudge getting squeezed out). SOON. 5 pounds or so, I think.
THE DAY IS COMING THE DRAGONPANTS WILL BE SLAIN AND MINE ONCE MORE.16 -
Yay @dhiammarath - I have loved reading about the battle for the dragonpants - you will conquer!! I suffered severe hip and leg pain last time around and failed to make adjustments for the fact that I was so much more inactive. Physio has addressed the hip pain and I am seeing the Podiatrist next week so here's to a brighter future wearing my skinny jeans - my dragonpant equivalents10

@motivatedmartha You can DO it!! The future is bright. You will battle and defeat your own dragonpants!8

I am a "not without my coffee" type of person. I don't do mornings well. I get up at the last possible minute I can in the morning to get ready for work and head out the door. Since I'm having a hard time working out in the evening with my current summer schedule, I figured I would give this get up early and work out thing a try. I set my alarm for 5:30am and I did not reset my alarm and go back to sleep! 3 snooze buttons later (lets be real here, lol) I found myself getting up and putting on work out clothes. That's right, I actually got up, and worked out. Before coffee even. The real victory will be doing it again, but I need to celebrate this small win today, lol.41

I'm down a pant size. Noticed the other day, I don't have to suck it in to zip them up.18

Well done, crafty. It get easier to get up early with practice. I set my workout clothes out the night before. Make sure the drink bottle is ready to fill. And still hit the snooze two or three times some days.
But nothing beats that feeling of walking out of the gym at 7 AM knowing that your workout is already done for the day!13 -
Hubs told me I had a thigh gap this morning.17

Congratulations! What a great NSV!7 -

Thanks! It does feel good knowing that working out scratched off my list for the day.7 -
Last night I did a 32 minute jog/hill walk for the first time in a few months. So far I feel mostly okay. My left leg is tingling a little bit and I'm a bit afraid I overexerted myself.
Glad I got out and exercised. I had so many reasons yesterday why I could have put it off--long day at work, started my period, the kitchen was a mess from cooking dinner, etc.16 -
Today, I once again saw the trainer I've known for several years. Just like last time, she complimented how lean I looked. I told her that I've been thinking of going and getting a scan to really find out my body fat percentage. She pinched a couple of skinfolds, and gave me a prediction that blew my mind! She predicted that I could be at 9-10%.!! I knew I was under 20%, but I had no idea I might be that low. It made my day!! Now I am definitely going to go have the scan.15

On top of that, I hooked c25k up to MFP (just learned you could do that!) and it registered my jog as 11.5 min mile. I have felt this whole time like I'm painfully slow so anything under 12 feels amazing! I have about 1.5 months until my first 5k and it feels so doable now. 3 days ago I was beginning to doubt I could finish at all!
Well done, that very encouraging. I’m starting Week 5 tomorrow night, and day 3 is troubling me. Your post was very helpful and inspiring.7 -

Well, they're on, so that's awesome. (I have a pair of goal jeans that I can button (Levi's 501's - 100% cotton aka NO stretch), but still roll out of. Let those jeans be a motivator for you and a definite goal. Once you reach that, find another goal.
Congratulations.

I just started week 5 this morning. The best advice I got from an actual runner, if you're struggling to finish: slow down. Doesn't have to be by a lot, but it helps so much. At the end of the last run on week 5 day 1, I felt like I could keep going. He told me that the hardest obstacle to overcome for running is endurance, get endurance up and speed will increase on it's own. Just focus on breathing and form.13 -
I just completed 4 days of Body Beast with my husband— and I’m still alive! Thought I was going to die, but I didn’t!!!18

Walked 10 miles today, 8 of it was in one walk, non stop in the 90+ degree heat and did 8 miles in 1:56.20

My first 5k race was tonight. I came in second to last, 48 minutes.
Because I had gotten confused and ran 4 miles instead of 3.
This is the funniest, most confusing victory I've ever had. Less great, my family wont stop screaming "Stop Forrest Stop." But I guess I earned it.53 -
Our marketing guy took some ”action pictures” of our afterwork Crash Team Racing tournament and posted them on Instagram without my prior knowledge. I saw the photos, and I didn’t hate how I looked! Sure, a still photo of someone focusing all their might on beating management in a racing game looks a little funny, but I don’t look pregnant or bloated and I don’t have a double chin. I’m proud especially about the not-looking-pregnant part, since this was the first day I had the confidence to wear my horizontally striped bodycon dress, and this was in the afternoon three meals in.19
