I'm giving keto a try since June 11th. I hope to get some meal ideas here.
Here are my daily goals I set in March for a healthy life:
1) eat twice a day.
2) no snacking
3) Drink 3lt of water.
4) Sleep 8hours
5) main source of fat: plants/nuts/seeds and eggs, limit dairy to yogurt, heavy whipping cream, and labne.
6) no eating after 7pm
7) 30 mins walking
8) 15 mins self-reflection time
Today's meals:
Noon
*Stir fried cauliflower rice with chicken and veggies
*Walnut cocoa mug cake
* Coffee with heavy cream and a tbsp of creamer (cant give up my creamer yet😔)
6pm
*Circassian chicken
* 2 tbsp almond butter with 2 celery stick
Looking forward to fellowship here23 -

I haven’t tried this yet but it’s on my list for the week. What have you found so far?

I love your daily goals! Thanks for sharing!
My meals from yesterday are all tracked and I stayed on plan. No weight loss yesterday but was only day 4 for me. I am down 4 lbs though so far.

Anyone else, completely plan their day in advance regarding meals, plugging everything into my fitness pal to make sure it’s all balanced in advanced? That’s what is working for me right now- helps me reduce likelihood of impulsive food decisions!
Also, if you are a coffee lover, share your low-carb, high fat coffee recipes please!13 -
Hi. My name is Nakia. I started Keto a week ago and I am in Ketosis according to urine strips. However I have not been good at listing my foods in diary.
I have "lost" 8lbs so far but I wonder if it was just water weight.
I just learned about cauliflower rice and purchased some from Shoprite. I would love to hear any other low carb substitutions for carby foods like this that require little to no food prep😁
My anniversary is coming soon (Aug 16th) and hubby has planned a getaway. I need to lose some of this baby weight. ( son is now 1)7 -

Perfect. This is my first day on Keto!8 -
I'd love to join you! I've been low carb for 4 years with keto intermittently.
I've lost about 110 lbs15 -

Since I have been low carb/keto for awhile I don't do high fat coffee anymore but I used to add 1-2 tbsp of coconut oil, 1 tbsp of butter and collagen powder and whip it in a blender (a frother stick would probably work too). Make sure you mix it really well of it's like an oil slick. PS if you aren't used to this much fat be sure to ease into this or you may spend a lot of time in the bathroom

I haven't been but that sounds like an awesome idea! I plan my meals at the beginning of each week anyway, might as well.1 -

Meals all tracked for the day and stayed within my food and h20 goals! How did others do?
Also, if you are here, You should have received a friend request from me. Feel free to accept or not- totally up to you. If you didn’t get a request it was an oversight (SORRY!) or your settings wouldn’t let me send you a request. Feel free to send me one and I will accept! If we are friends, we’ll see each other’s newsfeed which could be encouraging and help us stay engaged!

I want to try Keto, but by time I get home from work (my day starts 4:30am-I get home around 6:30/7pm)making me a complete meal and then different meal for other 3 picky picky family members in household in summer heat is stressful and I fail miserably.
Any FAST/Easy ideas other than eggs -- I need to meal prep/plan, but not a lot of time to do so.
Plus Quick...standing in kitchen in 100 degree heat with no a/c for complicated meals is NOT happening. Thanks!2 -
I would like to join! I started Keto July 1st! I have lost 6 lbs my first week, I'm sure its water weight! I really like this diet!3

I really like Dr. Axe’s page- lots of good ideas for Keto meal planning. Take a look at this link...I’ll bet you’ll find some options you and your family can all enjoy. A few that sounded family friendly to me were cheesy ranch chicken, almond crusted salmon, chicken crockpot curry, bbq chicken skewers.
Also, When my kids and husband do hamburgers, I also have a burger but with lettuce instead of bread and I add extra cheese, mushrooms, bacon, etc. Same with tacos, I have taco salad and they have tacos.

Enjoy my newest favorite... Creamy Parmesan Sauce
Makes 8 servings (Per serving: 179 calories, 17 fat, 3 carbs, 0 fiber, 5 protien)
Tastes great on almost anything. I've put it over chicken, fried cabbage, zucchini and broccoli so far.
Creamy Parmesan Sauce
2 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic (finely minced)
4 green onions (thinly sliced)
4 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup shredded parmesan cheese (about 2/3 to 3/4 cup grated)
salt and pepper to taste
1. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat.
2. Saute the garlic and green onions for about 1 minute.
3. Add the cream cheese, milk, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese and heat until hot and smooth.
4. Stir in pepper and salt, to taste.
