@MobyCarp Your worst mile pace is better than my best! I think you're amazing. Glad you didn't hurt yourself in the heat, even if it didn't go off as planned.

@weat0043 I'm coming back from a ruptured Baker's cyst behind my knee - I hope you see a doctor! I tried to tough it out far too long and ended up sidelined much longer than I would have if I had dealt with it sooner.

    @PastorVincent @workaholic_nurse @BruinsGal_91 @Scott6255 thank you
@BruinsGal_91 glad the new shoes worked out…shame on you new shoes on race day ha ha
Great job on the race, looks so pretty there
Nice job on the 10 miles @LaDispute57 you look cool, not hot at all
Woohoo @amymoreorless yeah for ice cream
@MobyCarp great job considering everything. Nice mug and medal. What race doesn’t have bananas?
@Gary_Z how adorable is your dog!
@weat0043 sorry about your leg, feel better

I forgot to say in my race report from today, the stupidest thing happened at the water stop, in a 4 mile usually wouldn’t stop, but I ate a bug and needed to get rid of him from my teeth so I want a mouth of water to rinse and spit. The stop was at the point where the 4 mile went one way and the 8 mile went another, 3 women in front of me stopped at the table, but didn’t grab their cup and move, they stood there, honestly in front of the table picked up their cups of water and started to drink them. I said as I reached around one, you can’t stand here you need to move. Honestly I had to tell them that?

    7/1 - 15.0 km
    7/2 - rest, 2 km walk
    7/3 - 5.1 km
    7/4 - 7.2 km
    7/5 - 4.8 km
    7/6 - rest
    7/7 - 13.1 km
    7/8 - rest
    7/9 - rest
    7/10 - storms
    7/11 - 5.0 km
    7/12 - 8.13 km
    7/13 - rest
    7/14 - 14.75 km

    73.08/120 km

Turned around after 0.8 km to run home, pee, and switch shoes. I think my older pair of Kayanos are done. Can't complain, they've got a ton of km on them.

Anyway, rest of my run was good. Appallingly windy but not too hot as a consequence. I cramped up badly at 14.2/14.4km but I gutted it out until 14.4 and then walked home.

@LaDispute57 Id take flippin' 9 any day over this hell.
Lol...me too. As much as I hate winter, I prefer running in frigid temps.

I think I only complained about the cold twice last winter, but only because my feet got soaked in slushy icy snow. I’ll take a cold run over a hot one every day and twice on Sunday :)

@HonuNui - I am so sorry about poor Lily but so glad she is ok. Looks like it is going to be a bit of a recovery for her until she can be out and romping about again!

Reading about your night time runs just amazes me @hanlonsk and @MegaMooseEsq. I know @sarahthes also goes out late too but I could not even imagine heading out for a walk so late at night let alone a run. I guess it comes from living too long in an urban area. Do you all have to worry about critters coming after you in the dark? Even here we have coyotes out on the streets at night.

Oh no @HonuNui - poor Lily! She must be very brave though to take on a boar.

I'm about to head out for a steamy run this morning, so I wish I had done it at midnight (like your thinking @abutcher2122 on two days in a row ;) ). Although that probably would have been more humid.

@HonuNui Ack! I must have missed the post where you mentioned her getting attacked! So glad she looks like she will be fine now!

@PastorVincent you need to skip church and do this. On that weekend my training schedule calls for 20 miles on Saturday and 14 on Sunday... I am thinking about doing the 25k distance as my Sunday run. Think about it.

@HonuNui Wow! Glad Lily is okay! We have boar here too. They are a nuisance. Occasionally we'll have helicopters fly around and shoot them. Heck of a job to have there.

I've only come across the once or twice our on a run or bike. And never since weve moved.

Did that pig get taken care of (maybe roasted up for doggies treats? Brave dog lilly!

We'll just call this a recovery run. Slow and steady was all I could manage after yesterday's long run, and the humidity was oppressive. Fortunately lots of good stories with friends to keep us going.
