If it didn't have calories, right now I would eat...

My co-workers are OBSESSED with those chips! We're up near Cleveland and can't get them around here.. when guys go out on the road and head down towards Cincinnati they stop and grab a ton to bring back to the shop. If they don't bring Grippos back home, they may as well not even come back.
I was like "what could be so special about some chips"... googled it and.. oh my goodness.. the brown sugar coating

I don't say that I will never eat a juicy cheeseburger (with fries)again, but I don't think it serves my purpose to sit around and ogle pictures of it when I am trying to make a lifestyle change.
But to each his own, I guess.

Too much honesty for you? Yes, I can see the thrill of looking at pictures of the stuff that got me here in the first place. Cheeseburgers, cheesecake, Dairy Queen ice cream, a really good french bread warm, with butter, pastas with a rich red sauce. This is not my first diet - and in the past, as soon as I started, I craved that which I couldn't have and before long, I would give in.8 -

And some people don't. I eat many of the things pictured in this thread, in quantities that fit my goals. In fact, I'm very much looking forward to those steak nachos this weekend7 -

I'm pretty healthy and fit...most of my diet is highly nutritious...and personally I don't see anything particularly wrong about cheeseburgers (I grill them or brats most Saturday nights) or some good french bread with butter (had some the other night at a restaurant called Farm and Table with my trout), or pasta with red sauce.
IDK...it's all about balance. I lost 40+ pounds and have been in maintenance for going on 5.5 years and I can include all of that in my diet in a balanced way...ie, not eating every single day and not piling my plate full of way more food than I need.
Honestly, if you have food triggers by looking at pictures, I'm not sure why you would go into a thread like this. I can look at food and it does nothing in the way of "triggering"

Is there any reason you are eating under 1000 calories a day? (I looked at diary) Maybe that is why you can't get it out of your head sometimes. I know if I was eating so few calories just seeing photos would probably make me go insane. I understand where you are coming from, but sometimes it is cathartic to get it out, lol. (At least for me it is)3 -

I eat the stuff that's on here all the time. I just find a way to fit it into my calories. Either smaller portions, a lot more exercise, smaller meals throughout they, or a combination. So far I'm down 185lbs, because I made the lifestyle change to realizing that I don't have to give up anything I love, just eat normal sized portions.
Besides, some of us see this and think... Oh that looks good, lemme go look that up to see how I can fit that into my diet!5 -

Right this second I wouldn't eat anything. I am full. Cheesecake is usually my answer, though.2

I believe the OP mentioned food porn in the very first post. If that is a trigger, don't open the thread.3 -
I had this big reply written out and then hit the stupid done button.
If I could not regularly incorporate this kind of stuff, what's the point? I can see eliminating trigger foods while you work to get portions and food habits under control, but not having treats would not be sustainable for me at all. I have lost 20 lbs so far. I have been eating ice cream, baked goods, fast food, pizza, fried food and the like the whole time. Sometimes they didn't even fit my day, or even my week! The thing that got me overweight was eating too much stuff like that too frequently. So now I just eat less. I still have all that food weekly. I just balance it out with foods that are less calorie dense. I feel like food that is good for the soul, is just as important as food that is good for the body.
And now back to your regularly scheduled program...5 -
For the cookie butter lovers... these are ridiculous. The good news is they are so rich I really couldn’t eat more than two in a sitting...

Holy crap. This is a thing? If this was a cake instead with the peanut butter being a tad bit thinner in ratio to chocolate cake and chocolate chunks spread throughout.. I think I'll faint after a bite.
I'm showing this to my baker friend. I want this in my life.5 -

That one caught my eye too and I bet the filling is a peanut butter, cream cheese and powdered sugar concoction so I bet it tastes a little like cheesecake - so I think I would prefer it this way to a more traditional cake texture.4
