ROUND 9 FOR ME - Female 58 yrs old –My name is Donna 5’ 5” Midwest USA
YARD BY YARD IS HARD……
INCH BY INCH IS A CINCH……
Goals: 1. To be an inspiration to my 22 year old Autistic son who started his weight loss journey on May 1, 2018 weighing 308.4 . (He weighs in about once per week- 10 days)
2. Big Goal this round: Break the barrier and hit 178.8 (2 lb. loss)
3. No Bingeing
4. 20-25 Net Carbs Daily. 1277 Calories Daily.
5. 10,000 steps per day. Mixed modes of exercise.
6. Lots of water, green tea daily, apple cider vinegar before carby meals.
7. Check my blood sugar daily for improvements.
MY STATS:
Original starting weight: 235 lbs. on 1/11/18

8/26 – 179.0 YESTERDAY’S STATS: 21 Net Carbs. 1269 Calories In / 2197 Calories Out. 7,235 total steps. 3.06 total miles. 11/13 (250) fitbit steps.
8/27 - 178.4 YESTERDAY’S STATS: 15 Net Carbs. 907 Calories In / 2923 Calories Out. 13,420 total steps. 5.68 total miles. 13/13 (250) fitbit step hours. Intermittent fasted 16:8. Trying to keep a solid foot in the 170’s so I can be confident in reporting the weight into MFP. Fell asleep last night before I could eat my protein snack and drink my protein shake so my calories were a little too low by accident. That will make me extra hungry today so I must plan wisely. I need that extra protein to combat the hair loss (doctor’s orders) so I will try to fit it in earlier. That may not be easy to do with the IF, but I will manage it somehow.

Telling myself "I'm done eating" is difficult. The worst time of the day is at night... it seems like once I eat, I continue eating. The "Kitchen is Closed" sign is going to have have a padlock on it! Goal is to live this life for God and to be continually thankful for the life he has given me. I need to take care of this body in the best way I can. Sometimes my mind gets a little obsessed with food and I cave in. Yes, I know what I am supposed to do, but it is so hard and sometimes I give in which creates a spiraling effect.
@SuzyH I understand how you feel. I have many triggers for non-stop eating. Alcohol, watching TV shows/movies, potlucks, well-meaning people bringing in junk at work, boredom, etc...
I share your goal and strive to meet it daily. Some days require more effort; we can do this.3 -
abowersgirl wrote: »@1991court that happened to me for the first couple of weeks I began exercising but don't give up and make sure to get enough water. Before you know it, it will start melting away faster and faster. I also suggest to take your measurments because one week I saw 0 pounds lost but 1 inch in measurments. You're body will start to change and you will fit into clothes better even if it doesn't seem like it because of the scale.
Thanks for the reply. That was actually the issue I had last week, I would exercise but even my measurements went up. So when I saw that I was up (even just a little) it was like oh boy here we go. I do measurements every Friday, as well as pictures. Since July I have lost around 9 inches (head to toes) and just over 10lbs.4 -

Goal: Be conscious of my snacking in the evenings.
8/26--218.4 Zumba was great yesterday. Installing the closet organizers yesterday took longer and was a lot more work then I thought, but so far so good. I was so focused on the closet yesterday that I hardly drank any water...I can definitely feel it this morning. Plan is to finish putting up the wall paper and installing some more of the closet organizer. I am so sore from yesterday that the plan, assuming the rain holds off, is to go for a long walk.
8/27--219.3 I don't know where that weight came from, I can only assume it's the lack of water I had over the weekend and the soreness from working on the closet organizer...which is now 2/3 done. Regardless, my weight trend is still downward. Forgot to bring my running shoes for a lunch time walk, so going to Zumba tonight and hopefully work on the closet a little this evening.

@tiabirdie56 I'd say I'm sorry, but -- nah! Yay you! It's a lovely problem to have. I've been losing since I dropped bread, pasta, and beef, and the skinny ankle jeans I love and was so happy to fit into last spring are now baggy. I laughed when I put them on and thought about all the clothes I couldn't wear for too long because *I* was too big. So pass them on to someone who can use them and do a happy dance.9 -

@SheilaBoneham, Lol. I know! Believe me I'm not sad about it. The clothes that I mentioned, I just purchased 2 weeks ago! I usually measure myself once a month, but I think I should do it every 2 weeks now. I'm telling you no grains or bread has done me a world of good. Because I have no cravings, I can occasionally enjoy a slice of cake or a Belgian waffle (waffle yesterday ) without worry.

8/27 160.2 BMI: 24.0 Trend: 160.4 Loss/wk: 1.0 Hiked big hills. No pain during or the next day. Amazing.
Got rid of clothes that are too big for me except some I love & *might* alter.
Went through more of my “thin clothes” & they all fit. Glad I didn’t give up on them. They made it easier to get rid of the things that are too big because they make that very clear. I will wear these until I decide on my final end weight. Then I might get some new items to wear with the others. Closet is *almost* to the point where everything in it is something I love & can wear now, as opposed to when I was heavy (pre-Marie Kondo) when it would take me forever to go through the closet to find one thing that did fit that I could wear. Never. Going. Back.

Under my calorie goal for the day. I really need to work on eating while I'm at work! Sometimes it's so easy just to forget to eat. So I finish work and I'm really hungry! Took the stairs when I came home today. I really can't do much activity because my body always aches, but I hope that I'll be able to soon!
8/27 - 349.8 (-1.8)
really, really happy that a loss finally showed on the scales! It likes to fluctuate, and I know the weight is not the be-all and end-all of this....but I am so relieved that I could *see* a result.
Another good day food-wise. My body is totally aching still, so not much physical activity. Hopefully when the weather finally cools down, I can go for walks and things!
